@Aro_Gidigba Should we start with all of his assets, including cash? In his 8 years as a governor and other years as a minister, his salaries minus his expenditures should not be up to 2 billion naira. Where is wealth come from, if not from corruption and theiving from the treasury.
Mr. Fashola was deflecting a majority of the questions with his excellent oratory skills. He fails to address the issues headlong, rather he employs the use of shiny grammar to evade the questions. He uses whataboutism and false premises to dance around the questions. No wahala sha. It was an enjoyable conversation. Entertaining. Na we mess up.
Shut the fuck up! Every journalist has a duty to prod public servants for answers however deem fit; within the ambits of journalistic code of conduct & ethics. People who hold or have held political power should not be cuddled or treated like celebrities especially when the conversation is about their charge public servants. When you're in charge of making/implementing policies that will affect the lives of millions, do not expect to be interviewed with smiles, especially when you have barely made a dent to the problems in the areas you oversee. Except you're on Mr BRFs payroll, try and get your head out of his arse.
@Adesuwa, I will applaud you for the questions you asked, they generated a lot of educative responses from Mr. Fashola. However, I will encourage you to do more work on organizing your questions for the purpose of clarity.
Adesuwa, hmmm. Are you satisfied with the answers in general? I think his Excellency is excellently politically diplomatic. I love that. However, it is clear that the hyperbole is a clever way to cover for strangulating concerns of the average Nigerian. Nobody cares about good intentions, or sweating efforts, people want results. And results are possible if the leadership is about the concerns of the people. Have our leaders REALLY shown leadership?
I wonder why good people should ever bother going into politics; especially giving our level of understanding of what it takes to build a great nation. No matter how well intentioned one is or how well one performs, it’s most likely not to be enough for objective appraisal by the populace. Until we have enough critical mass of economically strong and independent individuals who can thrive regardless of the quality of political leadership, we can never build self-sufficient communities. And without such communities, most Nigerians will continue to expect from the political class what they are incapable of. I remain hopeful that the critical mass of economically strong individuals required to kick-off the revolution will manifest in our lifetime.
Fashola is a great man who found himself in the midst of thieves and rather than stand and defend his beliefs cowered to the thieves' biddings and started playing their game. Kudos to him though I believe he is still not as wickedly corrupt
BRF is an excellent defender of the status quo - always masterfully deflects from any change to the order of things from which he has benefitted so much. His 'you were not born then' and 'you are out of your depth' quips were irritating. I now have more understanding as to why this political leader who promised so much, that some of us thought he would make a good President, did not meet expectations especially when he held portfolios at the national level. Whenever I listen to BRF these days, there is this feeling of an anticlimax. And that is a shame because, much like the Nigerian story, he could have done so much better.
I’m am quite disappointed in her style of questioning, you are leaning in with preconceived notions and agendas instead of asking critical questions that will inevitably enlighten the public I finished the interview without having having an idea of what’s in that book Disappointed
“You ask and I would decide how I answer “😂😂
BRF, spoken like a true politician, cleverly wiggles his way around sensitive topics without implicating himself!
Good thinking. Good Product. Babatunde Raji Fashola SAN
'power does not lie where we think it does' I GOT flashback hearing that
BRF is always a delight to listen to and watch . You have a lot to gain and l have gained tremendously from his intervuews .
So Apt. I never tired of listening you BRF
Excellent conversation. BRF is always a pleasure to the ears. Adesuwa is one for the future!
Thank you !
Stellar episode 👏
He is one of them. Brilliant, intelligent and articulated, but a thief in disguise. I do hope that everyone of them will face the wrath of God
Is this what you think of all political figures or is there a public figure that doesn't fit this mold. One that is different

Well done Adesuwa for bringing us this perspective.

Na we mess up.
Adesuwa, you're a brilliant interviewer.
Thank you!
You should be on the TV, this is how conversations should be held. Not the way some people do it as if it is war

You don't compare career interviews with economy interviews...
Thank you, Adesuwa. Thank you BRF. I am still reading the book, so far, it's an exposition .
Amazing conversation! It's always good to listen to Fomer Governor Babatunde Fashola. I look forward to reading his book.

The only honest comment he made was admitting Tinubu doesn’t have goodwill. Aside from that, he simply ran around the questions.

Cant wait to lay my hands on the book.
Hope its on amazon?
Fashola is clever by half.
Making excuses for Buhari but blaming Budgit for making comment about Nigeria, very insincere
Story story story
Not sincere enough to confront Nigeria foundation issues. History will not remember you as a truthful leader
una too much. nice one
An intellectual fraudster. He was never gracious to PDP when they had their shortcomings
"An intellectual fraudster".
I guess you must be one, because it takes one to know one. SMH!
Nigerians have forgotten that this man was a FAILURE as Minister for 8 years.
Failure like your old man, right?
you lie and you just open your mouth waaah without making findings olodo

Disappointed
Invite him to your talk show and ask him the questions yourself. Bad belle!
