Having Fun With AI Art | Midjourney & Astrophotography

- There's been a lot of debate recently regarding AI-generated art. Some people hate the idea, while others think it's an intriguing new tool. As for me personally, I can see both sides of the argument. I understand the fears of putting real artists out of work, stealing copyrighted content from creators, etc... However, I can also see some real potential here!
For example, you want to create a relaxing music video but need some compelling visuals. This can be an easy way to generate new artwork that fits the vibe you're going for. Or, you need help creating a video thumbnail. You can use Midjourney to quickly test a few ideas and find the perfect background.
In this video we'll see what's possible using some of my own astro images and a few keywords in Midjourney AI V5. We'll also explore another AI technology - Gigapixel AI, and see how it can upscale low-res photos.
If you want to support an actual artist, be sure to check out one of my favorite astro-themed artists - Lanchen Designs:

I’ve been waiting for this video. I have imaged all the great targets over a few years and used telescope live for the ones in the southern hemisphere. Thank you soooo much for spending the time to keep it simple and informative.
Great job! It's like a whole wild concept of "capture" and gives new meaning to being astroimagers.
The crazy thing is, if the universe and/or multiverse is truly infinite, there’s a good chance if not statistically absolute that all these AI generated photos are of actual formations somewhere in the universe or multiverse.
Anything we can think of it exists. Heck , even things that we can't think of might exist but we can't distinguish them because we would compare them with things we're already familiar so we have to be trained to recognize just how we train the AI now to recognize things. We were trained while we were babies/children etc.
I've really enjoyed and learned a lot from your videos the last 2 years and this one is mind blowing. The resulting images are extremely beautiful and dramatic. Is it possible to retain a closer resemblance to your original astro photos? The process creates a cool work of art but doesn't look anything like the original. Is that possible?
Thanks Peter.
this is dope!
Astrology documentaries will never be the same
Why pay all the money on astrophotography when you can make a cool photo for a $10 subscription. AI is going to put photographers and models out of work.
Omg...me too! Just discovered it yesterday...made this shot of man meditating on another world looking at the universe. I'll have try one of my shots too! @bortle9photo
