I’m a massive Valentina fan, but clearly Cong got more punches and kicks in. Valentina wouldn’t get back with kicks and punches when cong threw them at her and connected, she would just clinch her, which then the ref would pull them apart, On the other hand cong became more ferocious when she would get hit .Cong won fair and square.
Not so sure about that. All three rounds were pretty competitive and aside from the no clinching shenanigans Valentina wins rounds 1 and 3. Cong to her credit did enough to win round 2, but no way did she win 30-27 or even 29-28. Shitty judging and very confusing rules.

I searched to see one of the few fights Valentina ever lost in her martial arts career, but in my opinion she won this fight too.
DOZIER MUZIC Same as her second fight vs Amanda 😏
Apparently, you dumbass didn't know that in a kickboxing match you can't grab your opponent to clinch or elbow. She fights like a chicken by the kickboxing standard.
She clearly didn't. She kept clinching which was against the rule. That alone should be disqualified or have multiple points deducted after repeated warning by the Korean ref.
Guess who’s in the UFC now.
idk about that one. the bullet def had the first and last round. doesn't quite make sense.
I really don't like this fight but i have Shevchenko winning.
The Referee gives her a Yellow card. It was on of her worst fights.
Are elbows legal? Saw Shevchenko throw a few against the ropes.
elbows are not allowed under this ruleset and it was mentioned several times by the commentators. Valentina was just trying to be sneaky with the illegal elbows.
No respect for Kunlun Fight ! Shevchenko won that fight.
Yes , it's a controversial fight in favour to their 'country girl' , fucked up referee and judges , Boooh to KL fight 👎
Shevchenko took money before the fight .
@@kamalvin23 Deal with it. The ref was a Korean. And Shevchenko should have many points deducted who kept clinching after repeated warning from ref. She lost that fight. She wasn't willing to fight based on the rules & scared to exchange against Wang hence kept clinching instead.
Bias judging. It's the same way with Japanese judging, too...when there's a national and a foreigner. All sorts of shittiness...
Valentina was slightly better; have to admit this was the closest fight I’ve seen of her (except mma); finally a rival at her level.
Nevertheless she should’ve won this fight and kept her belt; as I said, she was superior, by a smaller margin than the rest of Valentina’s fights, but she definitely won this fight.
i agree, i especially dont see how they voted 32-27 thats insane to me since it was so close, did she lose because she kept on clinching or what? cause to me it seemed like Valentina won without a doubt even though it was a close fight and Valentina looked uncomfortable
@@yeahmhmmrightokaymhmmyeahsure Agreed the 32-27 is ridiculous. I said it under a different comment, it looks like they didn't make the rules clear here, after all bot initiated the clinch and trow knees and elbows. It was not a great performance by Shevchenko and Wang Cong.
I love Valentina!!
good fight rounds fairly close but i dont see how valentina lost that one bwtf do i know
The 'no clinching' shenanigans ruined the fight. Judging sucked as well.
@@madgavin7568 It didn't ruined the fight because of the rules. That's what rules are for with different style of competition. You failed to understand that as a casual armchair Valentina fanboy. She was actually lucky that the Korean ref didn't issue her multiple point deductions.
@@YCHTT What rules? If there was no clinching rules they should have been specified before the fight, but they weren't.
Cut the authority bias. The ref was dodgy and so were the 'rules' that you so pompously proclaim Val broke. The fight was rigged.
@@madgavin7568 You are so stupid & bias, it's like going to the basketball game & ask why don't you specify that one can't use feet? Do you see how idiotic you are? Your comment will be ignored and no further comments are needed. IMAO
Clinching more like Valentina was out of gas and couldn't hang she look for every opportunity to hug instead of fight.
How is that a win for Wang Cong? lol For what? For brandishing wild with your hands to make points? No clinch allowed, nothing. What a moronic BS. In MMA, Val would eat that chicken alive lol
Apparently, you dumbass didn't know that in a kickboxing match you can't grab your opponent to clinch or elbow. She fights like a chicken.
te amo valentina
As much I like Valentina i did not like this match at all. The chinese girl was active and trying to do something and Valentina was just clinching all the time. Wand Cong was very inaccurate, punching air and could not do any real harm but she was very active. Good verdict I think
17 x muay tai and k1 champion ofcourse shevchenko will clinch what did everyone expect it’s natural for her
Legit just saw her sleep some girl in like 1 minute
They would not let her fight as she usually does. There were different rules, even they showed her a yellow card. It was not fair for Valentina. She is a great fighter and she deserves a fight with known rules.
No holding so simple.
shevchenko really emoted in the entrance
This is why the Chinese sports fighters or their fight organizations will NEVER be taken seriously with this type of GARBAGE judging!
Valentina was ROBBED!
And yet there's now a Chinese UFC champion, but go ahead and stay mad because your favorite fighter lost to one.
No whitey wasn't robbed
BA C they’re both white ? Are u stupid ?
@@lemonbitters4559
Nah.
I pick on Valentina for having a padded record with 10 fighters that have Laughable records - seven 0-0 records, two unknown because they probably had losses and no wins, and Jan Finney with 8-10 and won only by UD.
But being objective, Val should've won against Cong.
I'm 11 min in and China still hasn't hit her..
And whitey did?
valentina won
*Valentina looses fight* Her delusional fans: Valentina Won that fight I have no evidence nor proof but she won
@@JackGlockyy the fight is proof ass wipe
Was robbed
@@JackGlockyywe are all aloud opinions!
Valentina got Robbed!!!!!!!! Valentina Clearly Won!!
Rob you ass. You can't have the Thai style clinch and elbow in a kickboxing match. She broke the rule all the time and got what she deserved.
@@easternstrategist5276 regardless of the style Shevchenko was fighting or whether she was fighting a good fight, she lost before she stepped foot inside the ring.
Kong won, she controlled the entire fight. Valentina was going back then entire time. But it was a closed fight tho.
it didnt even seem that close..bullet was more technical and elusive..she also had in my opinion, most of the significant strikes..the chinee girl is good tho but val won that fight..I was confused by the referee
6.5
Cant win em all, that's a fact .... but I will always love Valentina...... The best of the best
she WON this fight! she was robbed.
In this fight Valentina Savchenko wins, the Chinese judges cheat in judgment and the referees also favor Chinese fighters.
you are so stupid😅
It would have been a close fight in any country, but a fairer verdict in the U.S. where Valentina would have been declared the winner.
@anthony joshua natty or not Everyone has an opinion, but aside from that -- who do YOU think really won this fight?
Lost all respect for Valentina Shevchenko. She knows that clinching and elbows are not allowed in this match and despite the ref warning her 100 times, she kept throwing elbows and clinching. Dirty fighter and a sore loser.
Valentina is clear winner
is this kickboxing or muay thai?
kickboxing, but blonde chick clinching all the time
Damn she's clinch merchant in Kickboxing too
Feels like another pierea vs izzy coming
Valentina lost 29-28. She won 3rd round. This is so weird to see
What was the yellow card for? What was she doing that was illegal? Was it her wrapping the neck? It’s 2nd nature for Muay Thai fighters...
What is the Asian lady's record?
Valentina heavily relies on the clinch against aggressive opponents in Muay Thai and it messed her up here. She just wasn't used to these rules.
Can anyone with kickboxing knowledge tell me if foot position is different between boxing/kickboxing?
I love Valentina, but in watching this, couldn't help but notice for an orthodox southpaw matchup, her foot was almost always on the inside and not the one trapping position.
Is it more worth it for kicks to be on the inside? Or was she just not doing well on her positions?
valentina is a muay thai fighter, which uses a lot of clinching, and elbows. she couldn't stop clinching because thats what she's used to I guess
guys, i only watch mma so can someone please explain what valentina was doing wrong? i thought the clinch was a part of the sport, but she seems to keep getting yelled at / reprimanded, and then given a yellow card? so confused
This is a kickboxing fight under k 1 rules. You're not supposed to clinch or throw. Valentino was very used to clinching and throwing people because she did Muay Thai. If you ever watch Glory kickboxing fights it's the same rules. No clinching or throwing. Just pure kickboxing.
Desde PERU Saludos para ti Valentina.
Valentina was dominant, in my opinion she won
She was backing up and clinching all time bru… she also elbowed like 3 times in the 3rd round which is illegal in freestyle kickboxing.
VALENTINA ES LA MEJOR..............VAMOS PERU
Another round please
Damn Valentina had that song for a long while
No goo ....Valentina winner 🎉 ❤ not correctly !😢
This is a tough crowd
valentina won this fight
valentina is the real winner.
11:42 la cara de Valentina lo dice todo
Now I see why she hate Weili Zhang. Chinese PTSD
Obvious troll is obvious.
I like see that Asian women in octagon with Valentina I am sure she won't do any good and I believe that fight should be drought
Peter yan vs sean o'malley that's match also remember velentina vs amanda nunnes match also remember anyway velentina is bad luck in unaminous decision but she is da best fighter women in da planet
