HOLY COW!!! Dude, you GOTTA show us a video of the build, even if it's severely trimmed down for time! I wanna see this beauty finished! Even if you do it over a few months and then surprise us! Sheesh, that's amazing.
The level of detail on this is PHENOMENAL! It'll look really great when the paint brings out all that intricate molding that has gone into it. Truly an epic project.
Hello Hpiyguy, I am still a long Hair. You figured it out before you read this. But the magnet set masts are for ease of play. You put them on for "Sailing" and take them off for moving the gaming miniatures during "Combat" on deck. The Stain glass windows is a great idea. The ship plays well my group shared the cost and it is fantastic for realism. Thank You Darrell
I agree, there's a heavy line that goes from ring bolts in the bulwark to the knob on the breech end of the gun, the 'cascabel', that stops the recoil of the gun when fired called the 'breeching line', and then the 'outhaul tackle' is used to pull the gun back into battery after it's reloaded. It looks a little oversized but I think it's perfect for the application. (gaming)
Thanks for sharing! Amazing looking ship. Will look awesome when you finish it out with your techniques. You sound like a kid at Christmas, it’s fun to have a hobby! Arrrgh! 🏴☠️⚓️
I would love to see these guys do other ships, be they old sailing ships, or steam powered ships, or modern ones. I can just picture what their version of Titanic or Quen Anne's Revenge or Jacques Custeau's ship would look like.
Super great review. Love this ship. Some people dont like the material but I say it doesnt bother me at all. It's too cool. I think the parts you were asking about are the rope and pulley system that runs out the guns so they stick out the fire holes. Another awesome video.
I'm not into gaming but that would make a one heck of a static display especially if you build a base using scope to mold and plaster and painted it like it was going to the ocean the wave effects it would be a sweet display piece 👍👍
I had not known this, and was wondering this very thing. Thanks for informing us. I was a Merchant Marine, and I'm familiar with a lot of sea talk but not too much with Sailing Ships. It's a fascinating thing man!
Sir, In all the time i have been watching your video's i have never seen you so enthusiastic about a kit. Question to you Sir is: When you going to bite the bullet and build it. Hey as others have done kits and taken take 12 months or what ever, but deep down "You gotta build it." With your enthusiasm and expertise it will be amazing to see the finished product. DO IT.....
Imo I'd leave the warpage depending we're it's at wood warps over time in the real world just saying. Looks like a great kit not into it for the gaming but would definitely pick one of these up great video thanks for sharing. Have a great week.
Don’t quote me on it, but I think those pins in the racks for wrapping the sail ropes are belaying pins. If that’s correct, that concludes my nautical knowledge. If I’m wrong, I know nothing, which is probably closer to the truth.
Yes, like Nathan said these are designed and primarily used for tabletop role playing games. I LOVE the figures and dragons and ships, so I just buy them to paint up as models.
Fantastic review! I have a couple of these, guilty pleasure here, HAHAHAHAHAA, I got the glow in the dark version as well. I hope to be streaming a video of it on twitch, I am albevazin on there if you wanna check it out. I love your videos and watch them often! Keep up the good work! Anyone curious about what GAMING is, we are talking about Tabletop Role Playing Games that involves miniatures and scale terrain and equipment to make the gaming experience more realistic and fun! Enjoy the hobby yall!!!
HOLY COW!!! Dude, you GOTTA show us a video of the build, even if it's severely trimmed down for time! I wanna see this beauty finished! Even if you do it over a few months and then surprise us! Sheesh, that's amazing.
Will do!!
The level of detail on this is PHENOMENAL! It'll look really great when the paint brings out all that intricate molding that has gone into it. Truly an epic project.
I agree!
Damn, this is gonna look so awesome when done! I have a 21" Black Pearl model kit that I haven't gotten around to yet.
It was one of the times where the expectations were exceeded when the box was opened. Amazing kit.
Awesome a pirate ship. This reminds me of that Chinese boat that Chris built, and this a good looking model and that thing is HUGE!
A yes the RC ship, that was a blast!

The things with the ropes look like outhaul tackle on a carronade gun mount.

Just ment as a joke Sir.
Anyway at your leisure as you are a very busy at the best of times.
Take care.
That's a great Pirate Ship!!
Those things that they tie the ropes to at 4:18-4:23 are called belaying pins.
I had not known this, and was wondering this very thing. Thanks for informing us. I was a Merchant Marine, and I'm familiar with a lot of sea talk but not too much with Sailing Ships. It's a fascinating thing man!
Belaying pins mounted in the pin rails/racks
Thanks, the name escaped me.

Thanks David!
The music at the end of the video is amazing. What is the name of the group.
That's cool
Thanks!
Looks like a really nice kit but why do you keep referring it as gaming
This has to do with Tabletop role playing games, such as Pathfinder and Dungeons and Dragons.
Yes, like Nathan said these are designed and primarily used for tabletop role playing games.
I LOVE the figures and dragons and ships, so I just buy them to paint up as models.
I was unable to support the kickstarter, and now I won't be able to buy this cause scalpers.
It will be for sale in approx 12 months or so, regular retail. Any games shop should be able to get it for you then.
Where can i buy this kit?

You sound Canadian
Upper Midwest, so yup, close enough to Canada for the accent.
