Officially the realest tennis podcast on the net. Adderall and general drug conversation was raw and unfiltered. Real conversation with real pros you cant find anywhere else. Keep up the good work, guys. And good luck on tour this year too.
Good stuff guys just found the channel. I hosted a tournament last October made the final. My opponent took Adderall before the match. My choice is scotch. Guess who won. Ha. I do think it is a cheat code though. The focus is insane.
My opinion on Kyrgios is not that I dont necessarily agree with him on everything, but he is a result of the naturally asked questions about how they handled the sinner situation. Imaging if he or Zverev was the ones who failed doping tests. The ATP chairman and CEO er both Italian
I love tennis and I’m 41. I’m a 3.5 and it is such a hard sport, I’ve been playing for just a year now. I can take other 3.5 players here and there but can’t beat any 4.0 but can take a few games. I never knew this sport was so hard. Everyone I play has something they bring to the table. Anyway Karue is pretty awesome no doubt! This was a great interview. I’ve followed him since I’ve gotten into tennis
Welcome to the channel! Yes it’s super tough and I have a lot of respect for those who pick it up late and stick with it. Karue is great and is always helpful to us whenever we need anything. Great guest to have on for sure! We know you came for karue but feel free to check out some of our other episodes. I think you’ll be surprised at how much character and insights some of our other guests have! Thank you for the comment 🙏
A difficult game, indeed! I’m almost 55 and began playing just three years ago at 52. It’s been super fun learning the game and getting to know the community. Great people! At my age it’s tough to play tournaments. I’m a 3.0. Younger 3.0’s have somewhat equal technique and skills, but they can kick my butt because they are so fit (and…well, young!). When I play men in my age group 50+ they may not be as fit as they were in their 20’s but they have 30+ years of experience!! They know exactly how to place the ball and figure out my game. But I love going out there and giving it my all. 💪
@@davebeery_youtube I’m always surprised how good everyone is. Keep at it and realize it’s more mental. If you have a strong mindset the rest will follow
So a few months ago Karue played Nishesh at Tiburon in front of 148 fans, and on Monday Nishesh is playing Novak in a packed Rod Laver Arena in front of 14,820. You know at this very moment Andy Murray is analyzing all of Nishesh's matches, which means that Karue should not be surprised to get a call in the middle of the night to discuss his match with Nishesh. And without any doubt Murray has already watched the Nishesh episode on Changeover Podcast to get psychological insight, so both of you can probably expect a call from him as well. I saw Nishesh play in Knoxville at the UT indoor courts in November. His dad and brother were sitting on the court in one of the corners. On Monday they'll be in the coaching box on the court at Rod Laver. Crazy. I like what Karue is doing with the knee bend on his serve. Previously, he was just kinda squatting to get into his motion. Now, he is arching his back a little more and using the knee bend to drive himself forward, a bit like a sprinter pushing off from the blocks, which is classic technique (McEnroe, Sampras, Federer, Roddick, etc). I would like to see him arch his back a lot more, so that when he pushes off with his legs, his torso would act like a hinge and give him so much more leverage and power as he moves into striking the ball. The idea is to use the arm less and the bigger muscles in the abdomen and back more, just as with a proper forehand. Also, instead of having the left hand fall forward after the toss, he would get stronger shoulder rotation by pulling it straight down. There are several videos on RUclips interviewing Gavin MacMillan (Aryna Sabalenka's swing coach) where he explains all this. I find his way of teaching and analyzing the serve by far the most compelling I've seen. James Trotter (current rank 186) has really fine technique on his serve. Granted, he's taller, but Sampas used the same technique being just over 6 feet. He would be an interesting guest if you wanted to do a serve-focused episode.
What was Karie implying at 1:22:30 when he said “Tommy wins consistently now, you wonder why”… was the implication that he’s using adderal or something?
@@KrakenKraken-j5iWhy do you say so? They are opening talking about players with the eyes wide open. Maybe it’s just something he does but it did make me think of him because of that. It's okay. Cruz's dad Lleyton fixed the Kyrgios question straight away. Lleyton invited Kyrgios back into the Davis Cup that night. The next day he and Cruz watched Nick practising. The following day Cruz practised with Nick. They adore each other. Something wrong there. And weird - you should tell the 10,000 fans who lined up in the sun for five hours outside John Cain Arena that they're all fools and bogans and ignorant idiots who know nothing about tennis, and the over million idiots who know nothing about tennis that watched his match on TV - tell them that Kyrgios is not what they think. You don't have a clue. Or they don't.
Please don't tell me at 30 years old you are the "old man" Yes you are older than some players but look at gal monfils he just won a title at 38 years old
I really love Kyrgios game and feel sad for his injuries and mental health issues, but the way he's shooting off his mouth and building a cult of personality around his hot takes, seems in a little in the mold of Musk and Trump
Great show! Lots of thoughts on this one. Tennis needs Kyrgios type characters. Controversy gets people talking about tennis and tennis needs publicity. Karue is so ignorant about Adderall. If people actually have ADHD, meds just help them with being functional. ADHD meds don't turn you into a superhuman.
Kyrgios is self imploding. He didn't get the reception he wanted for going at Sinner so now he is doubling down and burning bridges along the way. Also, Roddick nailed it on the head. He admitted guilt to beating his girlfriend. Your state of mind is irrelevant, in my opinion. I get that this is a tennis podcast but I feel most will agree, beating your spouse is worse than maybe, kind of doping. A side note, I see Nick wearing aussie UFC merch. Those guys get popped for false positives all the time! How can you be a fan of that sport, know how they accidentally get popped, and still come back to your sport saying, "all dopers are cheaters, no questions asked!" It's wild.
Kyrgios admitted to pushing his girlfriend out of the way. "Beating his girlfriend" at least read. Won't excuse him, but he was trying to leave in an Uber and his ex girlfriend didn't let him. Repeatedly didn't let him leave. Got fed up, pushed her and she fell. Trashy fs but not a "beating". A toxic relationship were tension escalated and Kyrgios had a bad action [illegal].
