Woah, very early indeed! Your M6 looks AMAZING. I am happy Leica decided to re-release this camera, that way more people can get one of the most desired models _new_ at last and at an adequate price (considering it's, again, new). Enjoy your camera, Patrick! And thank you very much for sharing such a special moment with us!
Man, you are going to get about one thousand views, just from those of us on the waiting list, eager to see the genuine article begin to reach customers. Congratulations, and best wishes for many, many years of enjoyment.
@@patresinger Does your unit scratches the film? I’ve seen a few people reporting this on l-camera-forum. I am supposed to pick up mine on Monday, but now I am a bit worried if it’s a construction problem😔
Love the old style box … good move on Leicas part … hope they follow suit on all there products… could never understand the over the top boxes ..just a waste… Mind you I’m a big fan of 80’s Leica .. it’s when I got into them …love the Canadian stuff … without them Leica would not be here today.. as well as some legendary lens.. not to forget Portuguese manufacturing…. Most of your camera is made there … there all top people…. Lovely camera… still prefer my Mp… but that M6 is bloody lovely… well done for getting one …
Thx man. I agree with the clamshell box. It is really worth keeping. On most other cameras it is usually just a waste. The MP is gorgeous, just had a talk with one Leica photographer here Austria who's main camera the MP is.
Hi, I live in Austria and my trusted camera store had 1 ordered for me as they have a Leica Boutique in house. And I guess as they are made in Germany, the travel to Austria is not as far.
2 of my friends shoot with the MP. There is no real difference for me other than the design. And I chose the M6 because the original was launched in 1984 which is my birth year, so for nostalgic reasons I chose the M6 over the MP.
Hi Valentin, there is for sure something right about your comment. If you are afraid of getting mobbed, then there is an easy fix, put black duct tape over the Leica / Leitz dot and over the product description. And the M-Models of Leica are then like camouflaged and because they are so small, they don't draw more attention than f.i. my Canon R5 with a big lens on it.
@@patresinger Hi Patrick, we live in a strange world where need to hide our camera behind a black tape. Yet even after doing so I felt exposed most of the time. Was a lot more relaxed with my old Bessa... strange world.
very cool video . simple yet informative. contrasty and lacking color yet sophisticated and exciting . someday I would buy it just to have it on shelf (I don't shoot film and never will) . maybe next year . @georges_angeles

Thanks Patrick!
Good decision! My M6 arrived at the same day. It will keep its value better than any digital camera…
Congrats!!!
No digital Rot!
Great unboxing👌🏻 Can’t wait for the review!
Thanks so much. I will do a review around Christmas. I hope to put through 20 roles before my first impressions.

Stocked for you man. It is challenging and wonderful at the same time!
I always wonder why the M-A is the only one with a metal ISO dial, beautiful camera though!

Where did you order from? BH still doesn't have them in STOCK. Thanks in advance.
You can buy the old ones on eBay. They may not be new and made today. But they’re not 5k, you can get them pretty soon, and it’s the og version.

Beautiful. Yet like an expensive watch it brings an unwanted attention the minute you step out on the street.
