Perfect timing. I was betwixt buying a 2nd cardo freecom for my other helmet, or getting a different type to try. And up pops Mark, like a mind reader. 22 hours later, thanks to the wonder of ebay and delivery men, I have a pair sitting in front of me. How fast was that! Shall fit and update you as to how they go. Thanks Mark. And hurray for the old intro music
@@ASPIRE1355LC I've rarely used it, I bought a pair for a spare helmet. The few times I have used it I had no issues. Not as quality as the cardo, but for the price great value and usable. Only issue I had at all was pairing it to a cardo.
I have the exact same model for 7 months and I use it mainly for music and calling. For the money, it's great value. Long battery life, works as designed. Comparing in price to those expensive cardo or Sena things, can't be beat. Get the pro version if possible, it has usb-c. You can distinguish the pro from the regular as the intercom button is an X , not a helmet logo.
I've had a set of these (older model) for approx 18months and I rate them especially as value for money. The only annoyance, is the inability to prioritise GPS over intercom - so you have to manually mute the intercom if using GPS instruction. The intercom button on my set is quite fiddly to use with gloves though. Also the clamp on this new model looks better than mine
I just bought the same model from Amazon during their Prime Days. Installation was easy, but tucking in the wires was challenging. Everything works except for when I try to make a call, my Google Assistant doesn't recognize my voice commands, Any suggestions??
Hi thanks for your good review. I'm very tempted by these. Do you know if you can listen to you phone ie music or navigation and talk to another rider at the same time without having to switch between them. Thanks
Hi Jim I had it hooked up to my phone and the Google maps navigation commands came through. fine .. it connects up to any Bluetooth navigation device Cheers mark
Hi Gord I know a couple of people who have cardos ...they have had issues but are still happy with them ...this however is a fraction of the price but does everything just as well ...I'm glad I've got this one :) Cheers mark

Haha that's brilliant cheers
How have you been getting on, does the lack of auto volume annoy, for example?

Nice review, I have had the double units for about 2 years now and still can't fault them. Great bit of kit.
Thanks for the feedback ...that's good to hear :)
Cheers mark
Me 2. They're awesome. I wouldn't trade them for any Cardo or Senna. I wish mine had USB C though. I didn't know they'd come out with a newer version.
@@DistinctOgre mine has usb-c , I have the pro version

Looks like a good intercom. Price is very appealing.
Thanks 👍. I'm impressed with the sound quality

Hi Darren no you can't do this ...it has to be one or the other cheers mark
Once you power off the unit do you have to pair it again to use the intercom
No once paired with another unit it should automatically pair up again with the other unit
Best regards mark
Hi Mark, thank you for the information. We search an intercom for 6 motobike riders. What do you recommend: Lexin B4FM or Fodsports FX8?
Hi I have both and use them regularly ...there isn't much in it ...I'd go for the lexin if it's the better deal
Cheers mark
Very good value for money. Did you manage to test it with a GPS device ?
Hi Jim I had it hooked up to my phone and the Google maps navigation commands came through. fine .. it connects up to any Bluetooth navigation device

Thanks Mark. This seems to have twice the range of the Cardo. What's your opinion on the Cardo compared to the B4FM.

@@markpulling12 Thanks Mark... great to hear. 🙂👌
Gord
Which do you prefer between lexin and fodsports?
Hi Darren they are both great for the money and perform well but I'd go for the fodsports.. slightly better and louder sound quality cheers mark
Hii can I ask if bf4m is compatible with et com? And can we use it for music sharing while using the intercom?
Hi sorry don't know what et com is but yes it does music sharing
Best regards mark
Have you tried music sharing?
Hi no ...but I'll have a look into that thanks :)
Hi Mark, music sharing works?
@@TheDalesify hi I've had a try and yes it does :)
