Dude--awesome stuff, again! Great to see your thought process on the development of the UI. I've been doing (mostly) embedded stuff for the last 10+ years, but am just getting to the world of UI creation, so it's *very* helpful to see how a UI designer does this stuff. Perfect level of complexity for me too. THANKS(!!!) again for doing these videos!
I meant to ask you this Hai: Do you just use GIMP in Linux, when doing UI design? In Facebook (I think it was) you mentioned you mainly use Linux for Qt development. Same here, although I have several Windows and Mac machines as well. But I just prefer developing in Linux. I have a subscription for Adobe's stuff though, but of course it only runs on Mac and Windows...hence GIMP. That said, do you make use of the Photoshop Bridge much at work? I have a Small Business license for Qt which is like $49/yr, but as I recall the PS Bridge plugin is like $1000/yr. Wow. So I was just wondering if you've used it?
Thanks Tom, glad you liked the video! I do daily drive Linux as I mainly do development for embedded Linux targets, but when I need to do graphics work I will hop over to a windows box to use Photoshop. I tried GIMP many years ago, but just always found photoshop to be easier so that’s what I’ve stuck with over the years
@@MontyTheSoftwareEngineer Makes sense, sure. I haven't used PS or Illustrator for years, so I need to really dive back into it...starting this week. Almost finished going through Daniel's Advanced QML course again, and when I finish it tomorrow I'll be looking to start dusting-off the Adobe chops. Have you ever used the PS Bridge for working with Qt? I remember the first year it was out they offered it for free if you had a commercial license. Then the second year it was like $300? Something like that. But the last time I looked last fall, the price was upwards of $1000 for a year's subscription. Yikes!
Thank you so much for showing me Figma! I appreciate the flow in your videos as well!

@@bluehornet6752 I've never personally used the Qt Bridge, but may explore it for a future video!
Great videos, can you make one showing compiling and deploying an app? Keep the good work
Sure I'll do that in a future video!
Awesome. Keep it up. Sir!
Cool, We love Qt
it's better than the awful C# (no message passing between threads) and WPF/XAML (XML 🤮)
I have figma, figmaballz ... oh wait ... wrong video
