    I always love sketchbook ideas. Its a fun break from prompt books. And it doesn't have to be perfect. The first page reminds me of molecules and how they cluster together to create things

    Loved these ideas Di! The first one with all the circles is probably my favourite, along with the dangles. The watercolour backgrounds of your first quilt came up great, the blooms just give it more depth. Sometimes we just need something simple, not necessarily successful, to give ourselves a creative break. Keep up the awesome work, always look forward to seeing your videos! 💕

    How did you know I needed this?! I literally just got a new sketchbook & was drawing a blank (pun intended) as to where to start!
    Love the second patchwork quilt in particular 💙(I really do need to purchase the colour cubes)

    What fun & so colorful! Some of your hearts began with you drawing 2 little side-by-side circles coming together, & using where they meet as a guide to draw the point a little lower. Clever! I am going to try this as I have never been able to get both sides of my hearts to match. That's right ....never!😟 Always look forward to Aussie Crafter time with you! 😊

      _" I have never been able to get both sides of my hearts to match."_
      Did you know that the true heart - the human one - doesn't have matching sides? I've never really understood why the 'hearts' we draw / see printed endlessly / have as emoticons have to be exact!
      If you absolutely must get them the same, here's a very simple tip (for anything that needs to have symmetrical sides).
      Draw one half, with a very light straight line down the inner (open) edge.
      Take a piece of tracing or baking paper and trace your half-object, including the centre line.
      On the other side, trace over that with a soft pencil.
      Now match the centre line with the one on your paper so you have a complete image, and trace that onto the paper.
      If you have something like a glass, take your top and bottom curves slightly beyond the centre, so that when you trace the 'other half' you don't end up with pointed 'curves' where you've tried to match it up.
      And there you have an object with two matching sides, and a template to use over and again until the tracing paper gives up. You can even scan it, resize it and have several different sizes for future use.
      Hope this helps? 😊
      (Now I'd better watch the video!)

      @@MrsBarnabas Great ideas! I will try this as well! I smiled with a little giggle when you reminded that our hearts do not have equal sides. I have given myself an out recognizing this fact as well, so thank you muchly for the acknowledgment. I haven't really stressed over their uneven sides as each has had its own uniqueness.....just wish I could once in awhile, but not really on my bucket list.😆 And on we go!😊

    Hello just watched your video the ideas are amazing, I also am looking at your 50+ artist collaboration which it looks amazing one little idea though, it be amazing to see if the artist from slick n slime Sam were to join the collaboration or if you were to do a shared video with them it be very nice to see what you 2 come up with in a collaboration with another art form

    I am so relieved that you have the same white gel pen issues I have. I see a million people who talk them up and love them, yet I always get a few lines and then it dries up after the smallest use. Ironically the dodgy white watercolour mixed with gouache actually works well for the granny feel quilt. These ideas are all so good. I love the beads. How does your brain come up with these?

    Hiya, Di! How have you been? I hope very, very well! I really like your doodles. The S one reminds me of a bubble bath. All blue bubbles in differing shades of blue is what I might do. I like that everyone can interpret their own ideas for all of these. And you really make it look simple.

    I love all those ideas. I know what I’ll be doing when I’m down for the day.
    Side question: Anyone have major troubles with their Ohuhu markers? I’ve had mind for just a few months and only used the a handful of times and they are already empty/dried out and the tips are mangled. Did I just get a crap set or is this a common thing?

    • @MrsBarnabas
      @MrsBarnabas 5 дней назад

      Hi! I don't have Ohuhu markers, but how have you stored them? Upright in their bag is the 'obvious', as that's how they come, but all markers should be stored on their side. Maybe you could try that for a week or so, and see it the ink works its way back to the nibs?
      If it doesn't , I think you should contact Ohuhu for a refund, on the basis that you have stored them in their case, but they are dry already. If they question, your answer is simple: they come in a soft carry bag, so it seemed the right thing to store them this way, lid uppermost.
      Have you used them on textured paper? That will make tips deteriorate quickly. If you haven't, that needs addressing, too, as the nibs on good brands of markers should last a while with ordinary usage.
      BTW, if you do contact them, do check your typing for errors. It's very easy to miss a typo, even with a spell checker in place. [message to self: take note and remember it yourself! .... 🤔😄]

    • @aussiecrafter
      @aussiecrafter  3 дня назад

      I've had my Ohuhu markers a few years but I dint use them much. A few nibs came defective but still usable. And a few colours dried out quicker than I think they should, but I'm naughty with how I store them 😬
