  • The GPX files below are not from this ride but from a previous ride, as I didn't record this ride on strava, only one descent is missing, and that is the Castle Bolton Descent . Enjoy!!

    Number 2 was my favourite. What’s yours?

      I followed your route from last year over to Castle Bolton and also did no2 twice. So much fun and easy enough to get back up to do it again.

    Great set of descents! I think 2, 4 and 6 looked the most fun :)
    You're super nimble on that bike - you can thread through that bramble on 3 that I would get caught up in so bad!

    Looks fantastic; checking the OS map I can see where you would hook in the descent to Castle Bolton as its not mapped but looking at the TrailForks profile I can only really see 3 clear descents before it

    Number 5 is fantastic but unless its been very dry the bottom bit is usually an absolute quagmire!!!

    Number 6 is also amazing. However I think its worth pointing out How Hush isn't a bridleway and from August 12 you may be mistaken for a grouse and either shot or roasted by the local shooters!!

      @@stuartmarsden85 do you ride number 6?

    • @stuartmarsden85
      @stuartmarsden85 2 месяца назад

      @@TrailFinder Yep I'm local to the area and ride all of the descents throughout the year. I have been stopped on How Hush a few times sometimes friendly occasionally not so. I think if you are polite and apologise they are usually happy for you to continue but if you ride through the middle of a drive they won't be pleased at all. It's been a very poor year for grouse so the shooters won't be in the best of moods this season!! It is a great run. It would be a shame if they get arsy and stop us riding there completely.

      @@anneslambert3369 The grouse season starts on the glorious 12 August until the 10th of December. I don't know precisely when the shoots are or even how to find out but if you see a load of 4x4s on the moors I would personally not venture off the birdlepaths.

    What Garmin/trail computer do you use, I've never used one but would like to get into this style riding more. However reading bits of paper or keep stopping to look at phone is annoying, or do u just know where your going 😂

    • @TrailFinder
      @TrailFinder  2 месяца назад +1

      @@andyhayfield6947 it’s the garmin 1030 plus. I’d recommend any garmin computer. I’m sure you’ve noticed all the links in the description. Once downloaded onto the garmin. You have a sat nav right there on your handle bars. I wouldn’t be able to do the rides I do with out it.
