For everyone wondering who the Scarecrow's replacement is, his name is Eric Draven from the 94 movie The Crow. It was one of the first R rated comic book movies. Also the character wasn't an emo, he was interesting, complex, a badass, and gave off such Joker vibes.

I just gotta say, and I don’t see people saying this enough, the stop motion is extremely fluid, even better than some major feature films. Even some films by Ardman (that’s the name right?) seem a bit jittery at times and it’s obvious it’s not really moving, yet here you’re not even thinking about it since it’s so smooth.
The original crow was more angry than sad because it more about revenge. However later in the serise other characters as "The Crow" were more depressed because they story was focus more on self-redemption than revenge.
I guess it was because: (A) the girl is the story's main protagonist, and the nerd reluctantly didn't want to stray too far from the source material; and (B) maybe he wanted to cross-dress.
