I was stationed in Korea, back in the 80's. This was on of my favorite Korean dishes, but I could never remember the name and, apparently, I didn't describe it very well. i haven had it in over 30 years. That will change SOON! Thank you.
What branch sir? I was in the Air Force at Osan 83-84, Kunsan 86-88, and Osan again 88-90. These videos make me miss it so much. I used to eat a lot of this dish back in the day.
Army, 2nd Infantry Division, Camp Casey, 1985-86. I definitely at most of my meals, on the economy or the KATUSA snack bar. Fortunately, I live near Los Angeles, so I go to Koreatown quite often.
2nd ID was everywhere! I traveled to Casey, Stanley, and Red Cloud a few times for training or just a change of night life scenery. I was a Stinger gunner and we had to re-certify at the MTS at Stanley once every 6 months or go TDY to Crow Valley in the Philippines. Good times.
Actually you really shouldn't put oil on your noodles, it add extra calories but it doesn't help with them not sticking together at all. It makes it even stickier when they dry and changes the flavor of the noodles. (Take it from a chef!) The best thing to do is to run your noodles under cold water when they are half way done then cook them the rest of the way in your sauce. I love black bean noodles though!
Back in March, you said that I was "generous", calling you a cook. I was not being so generous as much as I was being honest. Your latest mukbang vlog only reinforces my initial claim. You are a very good cook! Watching you "chow-down", as they say in the military, was a vicarious experience. Next time I would love to see your next mukbang on an Puerto Rican or Cuban meal that you make from scratch, or at least from a local eatery that prepares such meals. Thanks for another delicious experience; nicely done! 👍
0:05 ... You made my day fantastic ^^ Amazing video Mina....Now I'm so hungry ;-; But it's not a big problem :P Bigger one is that I can't wait your next video. Thumbs up and greetings from Poland :v
I've seen homemade seaweed/rice crisps on a k-variety show recently so I don't think it's a novelty? Maangchi also has a video/recipe for them ("Korean seaweed chips (Gim-bugak: 김부각)")! I'd really like to try them if I can find them in any store. (The Sanrio characters are Keroppi and Monkichi.)
I enjoyed the settle change In the part of your hair. I really enjoyed looking at the part and how big it is from the previous videos. Only because often times you keep things very repetitive as far as your looks go. This is perfectly fine because, your wise words and the message that you mukbangs sends to the viewers is one of integrity, knowledge, and diversity. It implement different countries making all things one, because of everyone love for food. Food keeps is alive, when we gather from worlds apart to eat different foods, in a sense were keeping one another alive, because we're eating something that keeps us alive tighter while exploring each other's background through the dish were eating. If that makes sense great video as always Mina.
I love how you given educational information in the beginning about the food and where it's from that's great and what made me laugh is the toilet paper thing I think that happens in every family. so funny great video
what does Jjajangmyeon taste like? does it taste bitter? or sweet? because i tried instant Jjajangmyeon and it taste bitter so im confused. what does it taste? :)
Hey actually I tried chapaghetti but it kinda taste too bitter is that normal please tell I really was craving for it and I still have like 2 packets but can't eat
To make the noodles don't break and sticky, after you cook the noodles, rinse it with cold water and add a table spoon of oil in the cooking process :)
With most foods, fresh is the best! Although I do have friends who like cold pizza. The kind that's been refrigerated for days. So it really depends on your preference :)
when i saw people eat jjajjangmyeon at korean dramas i always wanted to try this cuz its look goooood. but then i ate this a few times and its just... so... boring and oily 😂😂😂 i prefer the strong flavors of the regular korean food like tteokbokki and dakgalbi 😍😍😍
My mum sent me this article on the pursuit of happiness. I hope it helps. Not the most reputable source, but it still has some good stuff in there. I also get caught up in striving to be happy and feeling more miserable because sometimes I'm not. www.everydayhealth.com/columns/therese-borchard-sanity-break/dont-worry-dont-be-happy-perks-of-unhappiness
INFIRES BTS ARMY same here. tried the instant one and felt like it taste kinda burnt. thought I'll give it another shot and just made some by myself. gotta say: either I don't know how to cook it or it's not my kind of food. though I really enjoy korean food.
Maybe healthy but c’mon...just enjoy some regular noodles where the jja jang will cling to the noodles. You only live once and you don’t really really really know just how healthy/unhealthy all that food really is. Just enjoy but in relatively healthy quantities. The pork is more unhealthy than the white noodles btw.

Wonderful to hear you and jjajangmyeon have reunited! Cheers to that :)

"Just because I cooked it, does not mean I am going to give a good review" 😂😂 this is why we love you Mina x
i skipped. because i don't want to feel hungry in the middle of the night.
Mary Kate your watching this to in the night? I am to! 😅

In many korean dishes, sesame oil is used to keep noodles shiny and slippery :) I do agree with your points :)
The crisps sound so satisfyingly crunchy and your food looks delicious. Actually you make the food sound really delicious. It's lovely.
Love your mukbang!!!! Everytime I watch I have to have something for me to eat....... and tea 😁😀
Subscribed within the first 16 seconds, I love watching these bc it introduces me to new foods :)

I agree, I don't sweeten my meat in any way, it should be salty and spicy. Orange chicken is an exception though, everyone likes that....
Hey actually I tried chapaghetti but it kinda taste too bitter is that normal please tell I really was craving for it and I still have like 2 packets but can't eat

is jjajangmyeon one of those foods where you have to eat it all in one day or else it doesn't taste as good when you reheat it and stuff?
With most foods, fresh is the best! Although I do have friends who like cold pizza. The kind that's been refrigerated for days. So it really depends on your preference :)

MINA IS A VAMPIRE
Shouldn't Jjajangmyeon be saucy?
The noodles seem so chewy
Miss Mina I think it you help if you close your mouth while you eat and not talk at the same time.
