    How about a follow-up video on things outside of the sim? Sleep/stint scheduling, food/diet, driver and co-driver pairings, etc?

      I’d make a preliminary stint schedule based on who will be driving with us and where they live (Using an American driver for the night for example).
      I’m also ready at any point to throw the schedule out the window based on the drivers feedback. (Extending/shortening stints, swap drivers around if they’re tired, etc)

    I saw the Road America stream. YOU CANT LIE TO US!
    Anyway, maybe someone should make a video how to change you strategy while racing. Especially the calls for early pits where sometimes confusing.

    That strategy spreadsheet bit looks very familiar. Great overview! :D

    Cheers for this video. Used some of the tips to run my first enduro this morning. 2.4 at Mugello and one the GT3 Class. GTP cars are very scary in your mirrors lol

    Are the long endurance races only open or are there fixed? Like for the 24 hour would they only have open setup?

    How do you fuel save? Coast before braking zones? Shifting early? Different fuel map?

    • @Daz555Daz
      @Daz555Daz Год назад

      iRacing fuel is entirely dependent on throttle. Stuff like short shifting etc makes no difference. Fuel maps have been found to be less useful than just lifting and coasting. They are probably just doing hidden throttle limits with the fuel maps anyway.
      So lifting and coasting is the most common method. And some cars still allow "clutching" where you can cause the engine to cut by pressing the clutch. It's been removed from a lot of cars now I think. Oddly it still remains in the LMDh last time I checked.

      It’s all about lifting and coasting in iRacing, just try and lift a 100 metres before any big braking zone every lap and it really starts to add up

    Me and my buddy are thinking about starting from the pit for the next IMSA Endurance race.
    Do you think its worth sacrificing 45 seconds to save 2 liters of fuel?
    😂

    Do you guys do anything out of the sim? Like food, sleep, excercise, etc…

      Speaking for myself, it’s generally a good idea to exercise anyway. I like weight lifting. It’s never a bad idea to be strong. I like to eat before I get in the car bc I hate being hangry.
