I know I'm late but if you could tell your son this it would be amazing! You will find yourself a "Nick Nelson". The world works in weird and strange ways, but in the end, it works out. You deserve all the great things coming away, and I hope that when you meet your Nick, that you make a great connection with them. At one point Joe even smiled *exactly* like Charlie! The casting is so perfect in every way - they understand their characters, they're all *incredibly* talented actors (all the cast, but especially these two), and they look like Nick and Charlie just walked off the page into real life!
He reminds me of Tom Hiddleston 😊 his passion for acting and his understanding of his character is the same kind of passion and understanding Tom Hiddleston has for playing Loki

I loved this story to an embarrassing level. I have never seen a movie or show, (and I am a huge~! Book, Theater, TV and Movie fan, I believe that the thing that separates humans from animals is our story telling), where every single actor, every single scene and every single cinema graphic was freakin PERFECT. This offering was cathartic for me. I have been out for 44 years, but this fulfilled something in me that has been missing all along. I have seen several other gay love stories, but this is the most innocent, sweet and wholesome love story I have ever seen. When I say that I loved it to an embarrassing level, (Dear God~!) I mean, I binge watched it 8 times in a week and a half. (and I have only ever binge watched one other show, ever, and that was only once through.) What sets this master piece aside from all other gay stories is both that it is one of the first none tragic love stories and it has not one single seen for the prurient of heart. Just awesome... Many tears of joy...
I'd like to say that I shared the same sentiment as you too! I think I've seen quite a few lgbt-themed series/movies but I've never been this attached to it.
SAME!!!! I’m 30 and didn’t come out until I was in my late 20s. I’ve never truly seen myself in a show before this one. I’m right there with you with the embarrassing level LOL! I watch it daily, sometimes on a loop. Queer joy is such a gift and it’s so beautiful to see it in a show on such a huge platform. 💕

this is honestly the best interview I’ve seen so far! the questions were so good and unique and beyond the same surface level that they seem to always be asked. I loved that they had opportunity to think and speak on the questions for a while vs. just quick 1 or 2 sentence responses. also, Kit talking about love, just wow. absolutely beautiful. 💕

This such a beautiful story!! A love story and not a tragedy. How a infatuation developed into a healthy, supportive relationship. The stressors of high school, norms, pressures, cliques, self hate, mental health issues that are not gender specific, ❤️🤯. This story tackles so many issues!!! I recommend for any sexuality, to listen to the messages, watch with your parents so you can have real conversations (this can open so many doors for discussion). Dating, acceptable and not acceptable. Healthy relationships, verbal and physical abuse. Lord if live this story - both as a parent and a mental/substance abuse counselor!! Alice is brilliant ❤️❤️. Where was this when I was growing up. And where was my Nick ❤️❤️ in high school
I can't believe Kit only read the first volume and the rest later when the auditioning process kept on going, I pretty much read all of them in one sitting. 😭
It’s encouraging that a perfectly normal attraction between two young people is being portrayed as 'normal'. Countless kids must have suffered untold misery and attempted to conceal their identity for fear of bullying and being ostracised by their peers. To the extent of committing suicide. We still have a long way to go.
I love the show I am a 69 year old gay man my coming out did not happen till my late twenties so it make me sad to look back that i had no gay life in my younger years 🙂

I cannot believe that the interviewer asked them about playing LGBTQ characters was very brave of them, like others will be Afraid. Like wtf??? What era is he living in? In the 50s???LGBTQ roles are very common and I’m sorry they are so so much better than any heterosexual roles. Plus queer love stories are so much better than straight love stories. If I were an actor and I was offered one of these roles, I would quick to jump to accept it. And I might sound biased because I’m bisexual but seriously queer characters are way much better than straight
I don’t know if anyone noticed… this interview is nothing like the ones they did immediately after the show wrapped. Kit seemed more aloof. It much banter like before but I do hope they are still good friends. Kit kept biting his lip and seem annoyed at times. Anyone else got the same impression?
Kit and Joe are very close friends. If you watched their individual interviews with Josh Smith you will see how close those two are as friends. Kit said they are now so close, so comfortable in each others presence, that they can hurl insults at each other for a bit of fun. You have to remember, in these press events, both Joe and Kit could have sat down to 10 or 20 interviews during the course of one day. By the time the day is over, they are both exhausted and have talked about Heartstopper so many times.
