  • Hey guys this is part one of how to draw a realistic rose. If you guys want to see the second one here is the link to continue watching. • How To Draw A REALISTI...
In this video I am sketching the rose drawing from scratch. I am teaching you how to draw a large scale rose. This video does not get into the shading process as you need a solid foundation before you can begin to make anything realistic.
I am drawing in charcoal and blending with my value brush set.

Hey guys! I hope you guys enjoy this new tutorial! It took me about a week and a half to prepare this for you. Please like the video to support me. Also part two is already up so as soon as you watch this one head over to the next video. I split it into two parts so it would be easier to follow. First video is lines and proportion and second video is all about shading and depth! Have fun!

It is so beautiful and very descriptive tutorial. Loved it ... looking for more this kind of tutorial for beginners. I attempted it as my first charcoal art and it came out so beautiful... thank you so much.

I am very happy to show you... it’s not perfect for artists but I feel good as beginner. Using your description box email address to send the picture of it.

This video was amazing. It really helped. That's the thing about art, I followed your tutorial but with my own idea in mind and the drawing came out more beautiful than I had expected, did not believe it would come out so well. Thank you!

That Rose came out pretty nice but can you do that with the number 2 pencil instead of charcoal I learned how to draw in prison not that much but I do okay I never really tried using a brush to do the shading I do it all in pencil in circular motion

It’s really hard for me to follow along because your hand is in the way so often and I can’t really see the details. Try showing each step and take your hand out of the picture for a second for reference :)

Ok why does the line on the bottom disappear then reappear when his hand moves around the bottom..pay attention...why?? That's kinda strange..nice rose thou

This was an extremely hard to keep up with tutorial, comments preceded what you were actually doing by 2 or more steps, hand and shadow covered up the drawing the whole video, if you plan on erasing please make it known so people don't have to resize their whole drawing, although I appreciate the tutorial, it was not a very good one

Good artist... Not the best "flow" or oder... Probably would've been better without narration and just speeding the vid up with several stop points where maybe you could throw a bullet point or something. But in the format your trying for it's kinda all over the place. Fantastic illustrator though, maybe just set up a "road map" of the steps you want to teach and then follow them to create a consistent sense of flow and clear objectives for students to follow. All the points you make are solid and helpful but without a clear direction just like random good points floating around. Step by step tutorial videos don't usually do as well during stream of consciousness or artist pov... It's fascinating for me to watch how people minds work, but step by step is a format that is really dry with a goal of quickly gaining the tid bits of hints that for that brief moment, enables the viewer to correctly and easily execute whatever is being shown step by step to create the finished product. Remember most people will be watching and drawing along with you. Nice rose though seal would even dig it!

Dude no offence but the music you be chosen for this video is diabolical. The rest of the video looks amazing but I couldn't concentrate at all and had to switch it off which is a shame! maybe choose something a bit quieter/ peaceful for something like a drawing vid?
