I recently had the pleasure of sailing on board the Queen Mary II and Roger McGuinn was on board , a great talent and a nice person his story is forever apart of our rock and roll history, The Byrds are one of the many great groups that gave us so many great memories .
@@dianesaari3034 that's nice. I have been to new York so many years ago and it's very nice there, I will love to visit again. It's also very nice and beautiful here in Denver the mountains are full of snow. Have you been to Denver before?

WE all miss Tom & George & we cannot leave out Roy Orbison !!! Hey, maybe you can help me w/ this question : there's a guitarist behind the front musicians with blonde hair , sort of a mushroom cut , blonde on top but dark in the back. He smiles alot & moves around a bit. I recognize him but don't know his name . By any chance do you?? I'm not sure, but I think he was the guitarist band lead on Sat Night Live, many years ago. Could it be G.E. Smith? Much appreciation if you could respond - especially if you know who he is. ❤ from NYC
They are so good do miss George and Tom but still pumping it out they were all so good very good looking forward to hearing more time gone through all the best regards to them all
Neil seems to always be full of the happies once he gets going. Check him flying while singing "Helpless" with The Band on Scorceses' The Last Waltz. So much joy. EAsy to find the track here on yt.
Especially right at the end, when everyone else forgets to come in on the last line so he's laughing, singing it on his own! This is the original audio - every other version I've seen has an edit there so that all appear to join in (Bob's vocal was also re-recorded to tone down the somewhat eccentric timing you can hear in this one).
Hola, hola. Realmente sensacional.
This is the version I’ve been looking for!! At 4:19, Neil sings the chorus by himself after the solo. In all the other rereleased versions, they overdubbed the others singing the chorus, but here you can see Neil’s spontaneity on full display. It’s great!
One of Eric's strings broke during his solo, quite early on. I believe Neil's solo at the end was impromtu quick-thinking obo Clapton. I like to think also that's the reason for Tom Petty's huge grin watching it - Neil absolutely nailed it. One of my favourite Neil moments of all time
So happy to find the original recording where only Neil remembered to sing the final refrain, Bob was mostly unintelligible, and Clapton messed up the lines. Much better than the more polished version with the overdubs!
I'm not a Clapton fan - too dull - but to be fair, he lost a string early on in this performance. He does a nice live duet with Bob on Born In Time - check it out it's here on yt. Again though, he fluffs the lyrics. But hey, who cares really - it's live and it's real.

Its hard to beat perfection, but this version of the song does the trick. Neil Young singing the last line is something I'd do
I really miss George and Tom.
No need they are immortal! 🕉
And Donald Duck Dunn
I'm with you on that.

That is one huge stage full of the best talent possibly ever gathered!!
There will never be collection of rock and folk royalty like this ever again. Iconic Dylan song.
It's surprising that the stage didn't collapse under the weight of all that talent.
I remember this performance. Just stunned thinking of all the talent. One of my few remaining jobs is to pass this love to my grandchildren.
good luck!
It's a perfect way to transmit to other generations the talent of these eternal musicians!
