The problem with trustfactor is, that if you are really good at your leauge and still get reported by braindeads, then you will match up with more cheaters in the enemyteam.
you seemed so much more happy in this video compared to your over ones recently also many cheats like to play against over cheaters and play mm to try and find other cheaters to "hvh" and see who has the better cheat so i guess some like having bad trustfactor

I think that sometimes when "the machine" look through matches, they should look through records of "the suspect" to determine if they are cheating or not. I'm used to be a Gold Nova Master but after months of not playing the game, I was ranked silver elite for my first match. Therefore, when I played multiple players were reporting me of cheating but I was put into the wrong rank
tldr: i think the new vac just unloads some overwatch time from reviewers but doesn't help with subtle cheaters still this won't solve the problem of subtle cheating which imho is even worse because of its ability to affect everything from mm to the pro scene. there is only hope but no evidence that this system can go from identifying obvious aim botters to identifying radar hackers or whatever. right now all it is doing is reducing the number of human review time on clear overwatch cases by using machine learning to boost 'low-hanging fruit' cases to a minimal number of human reviewers with good ratings but will regular feedback of human-labeled data into the model improve accuracy over time and eventually detect subtle cheats? or will it just be a nice tool for vac to have, simply because you don't really have to update any code in your model when cheats change or new cheats come out. the problem i see is that since the certainty level for banning someone in overwatch is not changing, humans previously spending time on banning obvious cheaters will waste time reviewing subtle cheaters they cannot ban for certain. hopefully valve has something up their sleeve and is serious about the pro scene.
During the presentation he said they want to focus on aimbots exclusively because of this: For deep learning to work you need to have recurring patterns: you have a starting point and a "final product" and deep learning tells you what's in between at the condition that you have lots of examples. This is not quite doable with WallHacks because most of the time there isn't even a starting point or a "final product" because you can use your WallHacks at anytime meanwhile an aimbot will be triggered when shooting which is easy to identify. BTW It's important to note that this VACNET thing is NOT directly related to VAC (other than the fact that it's an Anti Cheat made by Valve) and it CANNOT ban people by itself (yet) because Valve wants to make absolutely sure only cheaters are banned from their game. IMO the most obvious way to make it better RN and eventually capable of banning people autonomously is to record demos with higher tickrates (current demo tickrate is 32) but that would require A LOT more processing power (to record and scan the demos) which is quite expensive and power consuming etc...
So those transition slides, the music is "Rex's Escape" form the Farcry 3 Blood Dragon soundtrack, not sure if anyone else was wondering, but you can thank me later.
That montage video of phoon bunnyhopping his way on some ludicrous flanks and connector rushes was one of the funniest things to come out of the CS:Source community. The frag clips were insane, and the (understandable) rage from his opponents was hilarious. "Admin! He's doing it sideways!" became an instant CS meme. Then, (arguably in response to that video) Valve patched out the exploit that made extended bunnyhopping reliably achievable without hacks. On the one hand, I was sad to see it go. It was a blast. On the other hand, patching that exploit lowered the skill floor and learning curve of CS, making it easier for the newbies coming into the player base - and ultimately making for a healthier player base overall.
I disagree, patching the insanity of bhopping in source when GO was released increased the learning curve. Bhopping is still very possible, it's just harder, and doesn't have the same payout. In source, if you were good enough at it, you could move at speeds that would give you an unfair advantage. Obviously most of the bhop montages from source were using a script, most montages from CS1.6 and source had some sort of external assistance. Every single pro player in 1.6 would cheat when they weren't at a lan event. Reducing the speed a bhop can reach is one of the best decisions valve has made with the game in terms of competitive gameplay. Too much for zblock is great though.
Things DO change. believe it. it's hard when I'm depressed, cause my depressed mind deludes itself to think "it's always been so shitty. it will always be shitty." but really ... things change and you do too. good luck and keep walking.
I have always wondered what has happened to warowl's day z series, and when I have tried to find it, all evidence of the series is gone. RIP, it was fun.
I wish that instead of banning those cheaters they would just put them on those special servers where cheaters just play against each other without notifying them.
Probably predicts the position of the crosshair on an enemy behind some wall (and the amount of time it was near a player). It probably learned how to spot them via playtesters but then again, it probably mistaken some.
I think the one at 8:50 was, without a shadow of a doubt, a DC. It kinda makes sense with how the aim jittered; like a last sputter of net packets before a sudden bout of silence... but, just enough network activity for the server to _think_ they were still connected. They may not have been votekicked; they may have actually finally registered to the game as disconnected. It happened all the time back in my days of Garry's Mod scripting; sometimes the Lua causes the game to take a shit, and when you try to log back in, it tells you that it failed to connect because it couldn't verify your identity against the phantom-you still in the server.
"we have a minigame in counter strike there's a hack v hack mode" wingman used to be hack v hack mode before they added overwatch to it. rip :( there's still a lot of hvh community servers
You can simply just use the chrome app to find it out yourself :) : chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/aha-music-music-identifie/dpacanjfikmhoddligfbehkpomnbgblf
The afk case was pretty interesting. One of the short-comings of overwatch. You don't have the chat logs from the game and you have no idea what happened there. He could've flamed his team and said he goes afk as a protest or that he has an emergency, we'll never know and it would help a lot in a case like this. To be able to judge if it's a false report or if it's griefing.
The prevalence of cheaters makes me cry. I call upon the warowl diety to conscript me to a land of true effort and improvement for the sake of friendly competition. Sarcasm aside, I truly don't understand how a machine cannot determine automation from consecutive "snapshot" type kills of a spinbot based on the speed and accuracy of these ridiculously blatant hacks.. Am I missing something?
It can, I think you might be misunderstanding how vacnet works. Basically it watches all the matchmaking games, decides based on an algorithm if it thinks a guy is hacking, and if it meets that criteria it sends it off to overwatch. players then watch and decide if the guy was hacking or not using overwatch, and vacnet uses those results to correct the algorithm. the goal is to increase the amount of hackers sent to overwatch and reduce the desire to ragehack. Now its not a case of "oh my hack got found out, gotta wait for update or use something else" instead its "oh crap vacnet just caught my private cheat with the anti-report feature somehow, and then i tried to use a new one and that got caught too. i guess i can't do it anymore". However it only works for blatant hacks and is hopefully step-1 to an unobtrusive and effective anti-cheat system. at the moment, vac itself just isn't effective enough.
Yeah, I 100% understand how VACnet works, but I also 100% do not believe it would be that hard to track automation so clear and consistent as spinbotters have. Do you understand what I'm saying?
I'm sure your point here is that VACnet may do something similar to what I'm asking about in order to determine a likely candidate for overwatch, however, my suggestion is that clearly automated mouse movement (of the consistent spinbot variety vs the Flusha mouse lifting type movements even) should be Easily detectable.
LegacyFTW it is. Hence why they go to Overwatch. If you're wondering why vac net doesn't just instantly ban them, that's because machines may make a mistake but humans can check just in case. If it wasn't detected by vac, but was by vac net, it has to go to Overwatch first because vacnet is constantly in development and only knows spin botting is bad because when they send them to Overwatch they get convicted.
VACnet will catch a lot more than just spinbotting, it can catch any aimlocks and "Faster than human reaction times". However it's based upon 140 frags per user and is a statistical value, so if the cheater only occasionally uses the cheat they may be able to dodge the system.
Having some cases of non-cheaters has always been an important part of overwatch because it helps calibrate the meta-analysis of which investigators are accurate and which are not. If VACnet tries to give people cheater cases 100% of the time then investigators will expect everyone they see is cheating and Valve won't have any feedback about whether VACnet is flagging innocent people.
What if this whole time . We think we are training overwatch but what if overwatch is actually perfect at finding cheaters but it just feeds people demos to see if they can spot a hacker .... And then goes on judging you after you judge it's demos......
No, first of all, csgo tries to stop you from hoping by giving a massive penalty if you don't hit a perfect bhop ever single time. Second, the movement that the cheater was very different from natural bhoping, because it's way too smooth and tight. Also the biggest pointer is how much speed he is getting, it's insane.
Every now and then I chuckle remembering the bit of running up mid in Mirage with knife out. Like all the CSGO instincts just panic watching that shit lmao.
I reckon from what it looked like is that that last guy had their internet drop out or something similar as their ping spiked up just before going afk, he may have also got removed from the game for inactivity rather than getting kicked by the players. I think you made a good decision though, and having you explain vacnet was also helpful.
That laugh is so infectious! I really appreciated you going into more detail about these things (like the auto second target lock) Keep doin what you're doin! I never catch your streams unfortunately....
I haven't watched the original talk yet, but an issue that may arise is that new cheats won't match the previous patterns and thus fly under the vacnet radar.
The system is meant to be innocent until proven guilty beyond reasonable doubt. Many people forget that. I'm always happy to see someone doing this the way it was meant to be done.
a lot of cheater like to play against each other because its like putting two softwares against each other. if you see hvh in the beginning of a match thats what that means
I think they should add a button or something to say "this part is suspicious" so the system can learn faster.
I've thought this for a while, it would probably help

I'm pretty sure they will start rolling out auto-ban based on confidence. Like if VACNet is 99,999% sure it's a cheater, they can pretty safely ban. Everyhing below will go to overwatch.
But confidence and precision will increase over time, thats how neural networks learn. Give it more stuff to learn and it'll do its job better and better.
0.01% is 1 out of 10,000, not 1000.

One of the worst and frustrating thing about hacking is theirs whole frickin RUclips channels dedicated to them and theirs nothing we can do about it :/
Gordon Freeman i feel you bro that thing is cancer
10:50 his hands are off his mouse but he's filling out the overwatch report
Skynet taking over his systems. It proves he is the First Terminator
The problem with trustfactor is, that if you are really good at your leauge and still get reported by braindeads, then you will match up with more cheaters in the enemyteam.
MsG cheater instantly report all thst legits allways play agains cheater
you seemed so much more happy in this video compared to your over ones recently
also many cheats like to play against over cheaters and play mm to try and find other cheaters to "hvh" and see who has the better cheat so i guess some like having bad trustfactor
pine Cool story, much grammar, wow. Try using capital letters and dots/commas and 1 day mr.WarOwl might read your comment for once. 😅
im not bothered if he reads it or not im just saying at anyone that cares and you replied and so you clearly cared enough to say something also fuck off with the emoji what are you 12?
and wtf is a "dot"
bartterp88 you just unironically used the "doge meme" in 2018. How do you feel?
pine Wowow you guys fired hard towards me huh. Can't share a tip nowadays on the internet anymore or you will get a shitload of hate... Trying to let me feel bad about myself. Luckily I've not been called a nazi yet.
And emojis are suddenly not allowed on the youtube? Sorry my bad. I didn't know the exact YT comments code of 2018 man. Since when are emojis for 12 year olds only btw? Because all my friends and family are still using them. And they are atleast at the age of 25. I'm 29. So you know.
Clicked faster than my flickshots
Or your aimlock shots
oh i almost MISSED IT
Are you boltz?
His mom called him thats why he went afk.
I think that sometimes when "the machine" look through matches, they should look through records of "the suspect" to determine if they are cheating or not. I'm used to be a Gold Nova Master but after months of not playing the game, I was ranked silver elite for my first match. Therefore, when I played multiple players were reporting me of cheating but I was put into the wrong rank
blackbird is the kinda teammate i like sure he sucks at shooting but he never gives up and thats nice.
10:48 makes a verdict without any hands on the mouse. VAC!
i think the last part was recorded after the game was recorded
NicoO0Oo1 look mom, no hands
6:16 Didn't realize this was a phoon-related quote when I first saw this.
Vac is wack
And its back
lmao
I hope he'll be back
tldr: i think the new vac just unloads some overwatch time from reviewers but doesn't help with subtle cheaters
still this won't solve the problem of subtle cheating which imho is even worse because of its ability to affect everything from mm to the pro scene.
there is only hope but no evidence that this system can go from identifying obvious aim botters to identifying radar hackers or whatever.
right now all it is doing is reducing the number of human review time on clear overwatch cases by using machine learning to boost 'low-hanging fruit' cases to a minimal number of human reviewers with good ratings
but will regular feedback of human-labeled data into the model improve accuracy over time and eventually detect subtle cheats? or will it just be a nice tool for vac to have, simply because you don't really have to update any code in your model when cheats change or new cheats come out.
the problem i see is that since the certainty level for banning someone in overwatch is not changing, humans previously spending time on banning obvious cheaters will waste time reviewing subtle cheaters they cannot ban for certain.
hopefully valve has something up their sleeve and is serious about the pro scene.
During the presentation he said they want to focus on aimbots exclusively because of this:
For deep learning to work you need to have recurring patterns: you have a starting point and a "final product" and deep learning tells you what's in between at the condition that you have lots of examples.
VAC is wacc
And its bacc
I exploded when Green hill started to play
So those transition slides, the music is "Rex's Escape" form the Farcry 3 Blood Dragon soundtrack, not sure if anyone else was wondering, but you can thank me later.
Wait... Wait... I just heard my name!
6:15 I just HAD to look that up. So funny.
Search phoon on YT it's just 1 video left of him...
😢😢😢😢
Pressed like for Ubuntu
Too much for zblock is great though.
i am depression
me too
Things DO change. believe it. it's hard when I'm depressed, cause my depressed mind deludes itself to think "it's always been so shitty. it will always be shitty." but really ... things change and you do too. good luck and keep walking.
i want to die you will get better, trust me. just don't give up early, time heals.
i want to die I AM HOW TO BASIC
I dont want to live
Warowl, as a german, I loved your choice of music at the jump scout part
I'd like to mention that I like Terminator reference and his realization that he is part of the VAC
6:16 bhop with "w" XDDD
I totally love that phoon reference xDD
i like the german music, but its kind of difficult to listen to WarOwl when i can understand the song
I have always wondered what has happened to warowl's day z series, and when I have tried to find it, all evidence of the series is gone.
RIP, it was fun.
I wish that instead of banning those cheaters they would just put them on those special servers where cheaters just play against each other without notifying them.
did he just quote from phoon's video?
"admin he is doing it sideways"
wasnt that obvious?
It’s a common cs meme lol
Yeah, that's a classic meme
technically it wasnt even sideways
Thé à la Menthe just started playing in my mind.
Oh hey! At the beginning there's Ricochet.
How does overwatch predict subtle wall hacks?
WarOwl you've been the first youtuber I subbed since I started playing CS,love your vids, keep up the good work
Holy cow 7:59 WarOwl, was that a gi joe dub clip? "Hey kid, I'm a computer!" xD
"we have a minigame in counter strike there's a hack v hack mode"
wingman used to be hack v hack mode before they added overwatch to it. rip :(
there's still a lot of hvh community servers
lol
what i've heard, i think HvH is an enjoyable expirence for cheaters
HvH nospread was the most fun i had in csgo
Thanks WarOwl. I noticed a huge uptick in VAC/OW banned cheaters on my matches since April 7th, and it looks like I have you to thank.
You know that you are old when you recognize ‘Ricochet’ maps
No! im VACNET!
i do really need the song at 8:01
Recollection ~ Brokenhearted Maya
It's from the game Ace Attorney: Phoenix Wright OST
Thank me later ;)
no, im just gonna thank you now, thank you very much!

The one overwatch with bots looked like The Suspect had triggerbot.
VAC CONNEEEEECT!
0:49 I can spin that fast with my touch screen
Lol same I have a touchscreen HP pavilion laptop
@@AAAAA-es8zn God I miss my hp pavilion PC, it was dogshit but I could do shit like that
The prevalence of cheaters makes me cry.
In an alternate universe warowl recognizes that him saying he has no closer counts as being a closer
Watching this Video and realized after 7 minutes, that im hearing a german song in an english video...
btw. greetings from germany :D
I feel so bad cause even thou i dont play cs my user for a lot of games is blackbird lol
What if this whole time . We think we are training overwatch but what if overwatch is actually perfect at finding cheaters but it just feeds people demos to see if they can spot a hacker .... And then goes on judging you after you judge it's demos......
lol, this German music is so out of place when you understand the lyrics xD
9sippi3 Really? Don’t think so, I understand the lyrics fine
Someone: just practice enough to learn to hit at least 3 b hops in a row
Overeatchers: HM SURE IT'S A BHOP SCRIPT
No, first of all, csgo tries to stop you from hoping by giving a massive penalty if you don't hit a perfect bhop ever single time. Second, the movement that the cheater was very different from natural bhoping, because it's way too smooth and tight. Also the biggest pointer is how much speed he is getting, it's insane.
Every now and then I chuckle remembering the bit of running up mid in Mirage with knife out. Like all the CSGO instincts just panic watching that shit lmao.
Yes war0wl content
*Anyone else noticed Warowls In-game name as UGLY?*
SourCan seems "The Good" and "The Bad" were taken already...
I believe that he uses that name (as well as “the good” and “the bad”) in his soloQ to master eagle
So, another SoloQ in the Making? Coming Soon? Confirmed?
10:47 The warowl uses hacks to submit overwatch cases O.O
The last clip with the chair, that's the closer, right there dude.
WarOwl: I still have no closer
PapaWarOwl: You still have no closer you are such a disappointment
*hahahaha ahhh.......* _VACNET_ *Valve is Definitely good at cracking jokes* haha
"In-game balance" Ahahaahahahaha
This one tickled my funny bone really good. Thanks For being you WarOwl, your videos always bring a smile to my face.
I reckon from what it looked like is that that last guy had their internet drop out or something similar as their ping spiked up just before going afk, he may have also got removed from the game for inactivity rather than getting kicked by the players. I think you made a good decision though, and having you explain vacnet was also helpful.
I see what you did there at 6:12... The suspect - too much for VAC NET
I’m happy there’s trust factor, I haven’t met a cheater in nearly a year
That laugh is so infectious!
It's a calm day in Overwatch... then suddenly Green Hill Zone and gaming chair.
I should not be surprised to see these things any more...
The system is meant to be innocent until proven guilty beyond reasonable doubt. Many people forget that. I'm always happy to see someone doing this the way it was meant to be done.
Oh my gosh, its Ricochet! I only played that game for like 13 minutes but I remember the stage!
I am . I am. Justice
I like it how you use your mouse while doing that "superman stuf" at 10:48
a lot of cheater like to play against each other because its like putting two softwares against each other. if you see hvh in the beginning of a match thats what that means
Warowl, you've achieved immortality! Warowl is Vacnet...
6:35 a nod to the video of Larry David raging at his staff during commercial. Awesome
