    thanks for the video. I reached row 23 and realized the text said 2dc in the next 2 sts....., but you actually did 2dc in the next stitch ONLY, probably could make a correction there.

      Hi, you're right..2dc in the next st only not in the next 2 sts...i didn't realize that before..thanks for the correction, i'll pin your comment so others can see.

      You are welcome! My piece turned out wrong. I just use it as a "spoil style". Lol. I kept missing that last stitch so one end became shorter than the other. I will rework another one someday. Will post the pic another time.

    Hiya Esther
    Thank you for an excellent tutorial. You have taught me how to use the different crochet stitches together in an elegant and tasteful way. I had no idea that your design of dress is actually suitable for all age groups once lined. The edging you have taught has provided a professional touch. You are an amazing tutor, who shares knowledge, patience, creativity with flare to encourage design and enjoyment making time spent ending in a great outcome. Once again, thank you for your amazing creative flare, encouragement and inspiration.

    I will like to know how many chains I need to make one for a woman that is 5'9? Also if I am using worsted weight yarn can I still use the 3.5 crochet hook?

    • @TheHappyUnraveler
      @TheHappyUnraveler  7 лет назад +3

      Hi , my height is 5'2 and ch 120, I'm not really sure for 5'9 but you can try ch 130/140. Yes you can still use 3.5mm hook using worsted yarn but I'm afraid your tension will be a little bit tighter. Just use any hook size that can match the gauge or if you use bigger hook size follow the instruction for smaller size. Hope that helps:)

      Hi, you are using aran weight yarn that’s why your dress turned out big. Try using light worsted/DK/Sport weight yarn and check your gauge before you start the project, it would really help to get accurate sizing.

      Hi, yes you can see thru the dress but you can just use nude innerwear so it won't be that obvious. Actually the foundation chain depends on how long you want your dress to be. Aliexpress is like Wish. Everything's always super cheap on sites like that. You can surely use any yarn you like that goes with a 3,5mm hook. I'll be handwashing mine. Good luck = ]

    • @TheHappyUnraveler
      @TheHappyUnraveler  7 лет назад +3

      yes 20 for 11, the description was not correct..it said 100% cotton but actually it was a mix of fiber silk, nylon..the yarn is quite soft and I don't have problem using blended yarn for personal use..I already washed my dress a few times using washing machine, I used mesh laundry bag and the dress doesn't stretch that much and still in good shape. Hope that helps :)

    For size 3xl what would the chain stitch be?

    • @TheHappyUnraveler
      @TheHappyUnraveler  7 лет назад +2

      +Victoria MacNeil Any number of ch st depends on how long you want your dress, but it would be easier for you to count if you use multiples of 10. For 3xl i recommend ch 160/170.
