Wow, what a band! I'd never heard of them before but now I'm sort of in love with Azaghal. Those Finns deserve much, much more attention than they get now, greetz from The Netherlands 🤘🤘🤘
Azaghal has been around for a long time. And still delivering killer material. Valo Pohjoisesta is just a fucking storming devastation of black metal juggernaut!!! All hails and all horns to Azaghal.
I thought we lost Azaghal upon release of Teraphim and I ended up abandoning their music for years, but now coming back I can very gladly admit I was very very wrong. this album is a masterpiece.
Not my favorite but I love the way the guitars sound. They sound like the riffs are being played backwards which gives an evil air to them; imagine playing a record backwards and you'll get my meaning.
Fuck Judeo Christian mythology Satans, demons and other rubbish nonsense. Satanism is a toy for rebellious Christians. It's time to clean up the metal scene from desert muck.
There are some melodic guitar reefs that slightly remembers of Marduk but in too small percentage to cataloged it as a Finnish Marduk. Vocals and other instruments in the entire musical picture are nothing to do with Marduk. My ear might be cracked but in my little 20 years time spent listening to black metal especially European one i can tell you that in this particular case Azaghal is not Finnish Marduk. Don't troll me, it's my personal opinion.
Of course, this is not "Marduk from Finland" literally but despite this I hear in their music more Marduk than Finland and this is sad. For debutants, you can forgive something like that but for someone who plays from 1998 !!! it is a sign of stagnation, lack of imagination and archaism. Added to this is the Judeo-Christian mythology (satanism) instead of promoting their own culture and traditions,ehh.
Numerous parts of this album are reminding me of Kohti Yhdeksän Nousua, old mystical energy reflected from the main core which dissolves all the other influences, if any. Azaghal Suomi Finland Perkele Forever!
Porque no le pasa su propuesta como productor o como ingeniero de sonido, seguramente con su experiencia y conocimiento les ayuda a mejorar hahahaha. No faltan estos personajes.

this is nothing to do with Marduk
In that case, you do not know how to listen music
if you do not hear the similarities = ear training is needed.
