- How well does Magic Dragon Breath Rune Master do in Legend instances, Oracle, and White Star Airship? Today I show the build I used to attempt this with this fun off-meta build. Who says you have to do Auto Attack Rune Master to do well in instances? It helps that the devs gave the MDB improvements in 2023.

It's also fun using MDB RM on GVG, watching so many gears break is so satisfying. I mainly average about 30-50 kills at 90% depo.

I've been playing Nidhogg for a while now and I guess it's currently considered off-meta. I use her everywhere except for PSR and WSA. I also enjoy using Shadow Wave Saint for farming, despite it being less efficient than other classes.

I actually maining RM MDB at this moment for the last 3 weeks. Weapon's cheap, I dont use MVP cards but my dmg is pretty good. At 62% depo, BH no problem( 1-3Hits), Void is easy, Apoc not really but kinda satisfying to see my dmg getting higher and higher because of Deep cut rune. Bloody Rune works for the tier v weapon effect. The cons of MDB build are movespd, sand VCT ORA, and GVG(i tried and most of my MDB missed)

I am playing MDB too since everyone is hopping on the Rath bandwagon, the +15 dragon howl is easy to grab, also managed to snap a +15 heavens too.
RM is my favourite class and i am glad there is an alternative f2p friendly build that we can use and still be good in pve. Hoping to use this build until my handbook gets strong enough to build AARM
Awesome, snapping up +15 heavens is great. It is good that dragon howl is easier to snap now and many ppl selling heavens due to switch to Rath. I like to play RM too, it was my first MVP killer when I started the game and was frustrated with SH.

Hi, I'm levelling RK now, going to RM eventually. I want to focus on sword AA with Fire DB, what do you suggest for this build?
you should swap Weapon Blocking Rune for Powerful frenzy, this will make survivability much more than a 50% chance to parry, to start filling Frenzy before combat use Magma break then start combat. Also the CD build option is much more interesting because the ticks stack when ticked together
Great suggestions. I will try those tweaks. Overlapping breath is a great, I could see how that damage would add up like crazy.

I enjoy playing Magic Novice Guardian 😂 no meta, but it is so fun to see people and mobs being pushed back and forth 😂 no fun if they have an Eddga Card, but i enjoy it.

any advice for a returning player with low handbook on a class that does well in legend dungeons and in boss hunting?
finishing setting up my SH for farming, so looking for a second class for main content now; I have some 300Mz budget to get it going
Rathgricy is the best for F2P players with low depo. Here is one I made with 15% depo: ruclips.net/video/7zoZLnAs2fA/видео.html . Rath will get a nerf to PvE that will affect it if your variable cast time gets affected, but that will mostly affect you in oracle dungeon or white star airship. It's still perfectly fine for most instances. I also use Rath a lot for PvE at various deposit levels on other accounts.
Using Ninja in world MVP hunt.. Since Rath & Saita is flooded around..

is the FIRE damage ancient accessory better than the MATK one for DB?
I haven't done damage tests for it, but the reason I chose fire, is elemental damage is often hard to get and does very well against legend bosses. What is your fire attack % without the fire accessories?
@@WobblyWallaby I'm not sure but it was around 110% using MATK accessories.
I tried to transfer cards and enchant to FIRE accessories, there is a slight increase in damage...only dummy test with max defense attribute and resist.

I have only refined ancient equipment to 15 (using sacrifice technique). None of my weapons have gone to 15, only 14 at most. I had to buy all my refine 15 weapons.

Tyrant pistol build for killing bosses? I have tried it before. It is definitely hard but looks cool. It reminds me of Dante from Devil May Cry
I only have water acce and atk% acce. Would it be okay to use it instead of fire atk% acce?
Yes, water or matk accessories are fine. I used fire because I used it for PSR and Museum 1F
Does it have a high diff if i will use water acce in psr, compare if ill use fire?
And also do you have any thoughts, if using water brooch synth acce will be used as shadow eq?

You need to get to 4th job to get those. So you need to get to the max job level first.

I think Rathgricy is better. The MDB breath isn't great if you don't have the +15 weapon and that weapon is not F2P friendly. Rathgricy is fine with refine 10 or 12 gear

Yes, you need a mentee. That gives you mentor potions that give you combat time. You use 6 of those and listen to 30 minutes of music. You would have 540 combat time with just music alone. For mentees, I created other accounts. Then do the mission board each day and run it through ET. That gives you tokens to buy mentor potions

so we can only get 720 max stamina for about 2 days per week only?

@@Nostalpo 1 ID is consist of 3 character, make your 2nd and 3rd character as a mentor also . so you will get 900 mentor token x 3 = 2700 mentor token / week
@@NostalpoYes, on my account I have 2 other characters, all are mentors. Then you put the mentor pots in the shared storage to bring it to your main. Then you have 900x3 tokens

Sorry, I don't have one for PvP, you may need to look around at others who do PvP. I play PvP very casually so I don't have a lot of PvP gear.

Thanks to WSA I've started playing Holle. At first only for the debuffs he provides but really fast I've started enjoying him, to the point where now I'm pushing for 6/6 runes :D (still missing one S with 2nd line :

Hey, yes, I'll look into that. Are you seeing if Thor can actually do good enough damage solo? Or would you be converting to water?

@@WobblyWallaby, the primary damage in an airship is the bleed effect; you must max STR and LUK to make it work and use the wind relic to have low damage input so you can survive the run. Thor won't be able to solo the instance, but its damage helps so much; still, Rath is better if it is converted to dark. I haven't tried to transform into the water, but that could make a huge difference, as Thor also has a higher wind elemental damage than MaNoGu. We can use a lot of additional damage to water monsters through cards.

@@3zmoneyto15 for Mysterious runes will use: War Preparedness (for shield), Bloody (complementingthe bleeding effect), and Thorn runes (I'm coming from Magic so I have high Magic deposit as well Magic Atk, and complements bleeding effect of Thor skills).
Any free hero class easily outdamage this more than twice even without +15 gear or mvp cards 🤣 lol
Like for example Taekwon with no top items or card will do 50m each hit but with 380 attack speed, so in 1.5 sec he will do ~350m, while all you do is only 50m once per 1.5sec. Just to match that dps you have to do ~400m each hit, and that's unreachable.
With +15 gear free hero classes outdamage that more than 3 times, with mvp cards more than 5 times. And any p2w hero classes outdamage this 10 times easily.
I've played rm mdb for two years from start, but today no one playing them because of slow dps, lack of accuracy, and low damage that can't even destroy shields anymore. In pvp it's even more useless due to lack of attack range and simple cast speed debuff will turn you into pumpkin.
Say thanks to devs who made new classes so op that all original classes are simply useless.
Don't even waste your time and zeny on it.
Sometimes i use Thana for pve, also kinda satisfying and you definitely must try it.
