I wish people could remember that Selena has SLE, aka Lupus, an autoimmune disease that has no cure and is only managed by various medications. I think she's doing an amazing job living with this lifelong disease while advancing her career and living a full life.
I was a little too old for Wizards of Waverly Place and her musical style was never anything that interested me. But more recently, I got really into Selena Gomez as an actor. Watched Wizards with my kids and my wife and I have loved Only Murders. Then I realized I had no idea what her singing voice sounded like. Her speaking voice is not one I can easily imagine singing. Listened to one of her songs. Still not my style, but not surprisingly, she's got a great voice. Happy to see her doing musicals. There's a limited number of people who are true actor/singers who do both truly well. And most of those are Broadway stars like Cynthia Erivo who rarely get cast in big projects in Hollywood (glad they made an exception and cast her as Elpheba). Julie Andrews, Edina Menzel, Selena Gomez. There are great actors who sing really well, like Hugh Jackman and great singers who act really well like, apparently, Ariana Grande. But few who really came up doing both.
@Summon256 I mentioned Lady Gaga and then replaced her in my comment with Ariana Grande. She's a singer who can act and she's good at it. But she's not natively both like Gomez who has done both professionally at a high level since childhood.
Selena sings the Intro song on Wizards of Waverly Place 😊 Honestly only listening to one of her songs will not give you an idea of her whole discography. She has music from ages 12 - 31 and her albums are all very individual. I'd recommend listening to Revival or Rare as those are (in my opinion) her best albums.
The Audience in there are dead, they were not clapping or getting excited with Selena. She should no think to move over there. Los Angeles is her home and we love her. We ate always support her with love and excitment😉😎👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏😅

She has a chronic serious illness which is being treated. She really does all she can to overcome and not bring focus on her health. So realize her strength in overcoming problems, rather than criticize ❤.
