I’ll gladly educate you on the band a bit! Volumes has been around since the early 2010’s, at least in terms of being bigger in the scene back then. They had an EP called “The Concept of Dreaming” that kind of put them on the map, but their full length “VIA” rocketed them to the top for a while. Michael Barr (vocalist with long hair) was in the band back then, but left after a few albums, and he’s back for this one, which is awesome! He only screamed back then, but his range has definitely improved a lot. Myke Terry used to be in Bury Your Dead, but came to Volumes once Michael left initially. Gus, their now former vocalist, left after the last album and that’s why we have Michael. You might notice from the video that they only have a bassist and drummer, sadly their guitarist Diego (Gus’ brother) passed away in 2020, though a cause was never given. I’m glad the band is still chugging, they’ve been working hard for years and it’s easy to fall apart from stuff like that. Their new album “Happier?” comes out in mid-late November, I wanna say the 19th? It’ll be a banger I’m sure. Hopefully this helped, man!
Vahle has a melodic vibe like this with heavy vocals. They made the song in passing of their band member James Vahle. And not to long ago lost another ex-member Diego. Personally my favorite song next to Bend. Love the channel btw!
it's like mixing certain styles like Tesseract with pop 2010s pop (I'd of said 2020's but this decades pop is to early to define as a whole I think) I definately wanna hear more of this!
This band is insanely talented, just haven't gotten big yet for some reason, its crazy. But I highly suggest if you wanna head bang to this band, "Edge of the Earth" is what all the OG's know them for. Love your channel bro! Keep it up! I hope you take my suggestion :D
