Driving backwards, go weight first so you can look where you’re going by

What happens if you're boomed out/up with the chassis on perfectly level ground then you drive it into let's say a ditch or something very unlevel?

Certainly wouldn’t be something I would advise doing. Could make for a bad day. There are sensors that disable certain functions when the machine gets unlevel. You would not be able to boom up or extend any further. Driving at full height isn’t fun on level ground. I wouldn’t want to try it on rough or uneven terrain.

@@ultaquip i couldn't agree more, lol...I figured it has some kind of sensor that stops the machine when it approaches dangerously undeveloped ground...just wondering if it would allow the operator to reverse the travel to get it back onto level ground.
I'm a concrete construction hand but have been kind of thrown into operating an articulating boom jlg lift for steel work in the winter with zero training...I've ran it for the last two days and won't even think about traveling with it unless the boom is fully retracted...I hate it but I guess I hate it less than anyone else on the job, ha.
