At the town the main business at the wharf was Papa Diaz' and the restaurant/store was the end of a airstrip and the road from Highway 1 was sandy unpaved. Papa Diaz' specialty was turtle steak. The Sea of Cortez was being fished out by a Japanese fleet. But we still saw schools of hammerhead shark, yellowfin tuna, and dolphin. I had a 20 foot Zodiac. I found several clamming beaches.
