I once went for an interview for a job i really wanted. During the interview i realized i was completely out of my depth. The man tried to talk me into it but i just had a gut feeling id flop. It was a job as a farm accounts manager. Its called realistic assessment of your own skills...or lack of them. Something tells me....labour are hitting the reality wall. It ain.t working.

Part of the problem is that in this day and age a lot of companies abuse the three month trial period. I work contract but I'm aware of a large number of companies local to me in Kent who recycle the same 3 month trial period ad over and over, often it's with a catchy phrase like come and join our team with a team photo and all that. Then there's the small matter of those companies offering staff terms but not offering a guarantee of at least two years, if you survive a trial period only to find that before you qualify for redundancy you're let go then all you've done is saved the company from hiring at a contract rate. I speak as a guy who has had numerous contracts exceeding a two year span over the years.
