They audition hundreds of kids a year. The open slots vary on how many have graduated high school, or have moved on in some other way. I have two daughters in this choir.
What great voices! Some really powerful, some sweet, some rich and smooth. Such a great job transitioning between all the different voices and a fantastic arrangement with great harmonies! How fun it would be to be part of such a choir! 😃 I also really like Defying gravity. A powerful song!
They are really amazing singers and a great choir. I loved it it just puts a smile on your face. I love Defying Gravity. I can’t wait for thr movie musical coming out in November. I’ll finally get to see this musical.

I've never seen Wicked, nor have I ever heard the soundtrack. I don't think I've ever seen the entirety of Wizard of Oz either. No clue if the kids were close or not, but they sounded really good. I do know VoicePlay has done a Wicked medley. You took kids to the Pittsburgh symphony, cool. Only thing I remember going to with school, was Nutcracker at Kleinhans Music hall in Buffalo around Christmas, way back in I think 1st grade, so that would be 1975, ugh I feel old now, lol Have you ever seen the music video for "Unforgettable" by Godsmack? If you haven't ,I'm pretty sure you'll want to, with all the kids in it.
Hey that’s pretty cool that you saw those things. Yeah the music teacher I teach with set it up. I used to be the one to set it up but now theirs a younger person who wants to do those things. Sounds interesting. I have heard a few Godsmack songs.
I’m sorry it took so long Rodney. But I said it was coming and I meant it. I don’t think you will be disappointed. Can’t wait to hear from you after the premiere.
This just felt like a Disney production, but designed more for children. I've never seen or actually heard of Wicked so I can't comment on the context to that. I take nothing away from their talent, they certainly sing well, but it seems targeted towards a much younger age than me, lol. Interesting production.
You would think it’s targeted for a younger audience but I don’t think so. I don’t have the numbers to back it up but it does seem like the audience is probably older. Maybe not as old as us though. 😂
@@bobcieslinski Yeah, I'm not familiar with the Wicked thing, so it's difficult to relate this to anything. For me, it's just a bunch of kids singing, lol. BTW, I was watching some Black Pink and maybe a better choice for your first introduction to them would be How You Like That. It's not just the music, but the elaborate production showcasing so many changes in make up, ward robe, location, etc. that is dazzling.
Makes one wonder how all this gorgeous talent was found and put together … just amazing!
For sure. Had to be an audition.

What an exciting opportunity for these kids!💜💜💜
