Atmosphere is bad at st James, because for years the stadium is becoming more and more family oriented and in parts of the ground the stewards are strict about people standing up and the security is so uptight like banned for swearing or showing to much passion but the security for the away end is much much more liberal. Plea to the fans, Newcastle play better when the atmosphere is rocking so it's up to the supporters to make the atmosphere and the security can't throw everyone out if you show some passion in numbers. Stand up and you could be ejected from the ground is disgusting tbh.

I understand making it more family friendly, but it’s important to have passionate fans and a good atmosphere too. I guess that’s why there’s a family section and a singing corner. It’s just a shame the atmosphere on Saturday was so flat compared to other NUFC games I’ve been to.

Unfortunately not as good I had expected, but still not bad. I’ve been at SJP when it’s been much louder.
@@TheMatchdayExperienceatmosphere has always been bad for 12.30 kick offs, they should of made this an evening game and it would of been bouncing
