The condenser fan under the hood might just be stuck. Easy fix if so! Take a screwdriver and tap the fan blades and see if the fan starts turning. Worked for me. Watch your fingers!

The heat has to dissipate through the fins on ac condenser. Also, when its like 115 out & expecting your ac to work like new than you will be wasting your money.

What about a/c clutch air gap? Is it possible that a gap that is set too wide can result in the clutch not engaging adequately at idle, particularly when the clutch plate is worn and/or the coil is old?
