I don't think Ben had a choice of leaving or staying with Jen G. I think she told him to leave because she couldn't handle his gambling and other vices he wouldn't let go. He knows her and knows she would not give in because of the kids. One thing she insisted on was that he was sober when he was with the kids. It's hard being married to an addict and it makes it much easier to let them go even if you still love them. The kids ALWAYS come first in any healthy relationship. JoLo is the complete opposite and it shows. Who could relax around that?
