I'm 61 and use The Ordinary's Argirline and Matrixyl together in the daytime with my Vitamin C and at nighttime with The Ordinary's Retinol 1% in Squalane for the past six weeks and saw a decrease in depth of my fine lines and "crinkles" as well as my skin looking generally amazing! I think this might be an age thing because my friends and I all use the same combo, we're all in the 50-60 age bracket and they've noticed the same improvements. I feel if you're under 45, you honestly won't see much of a difference. Consistency is key and as an aesthetician, you need to give the products at least 6 weeks but up to 8 weeks to see a difference when trying new products.
Totally agree! I was going to say the same thing! I'm 57, and I've found that adding argiline to my routine keeps me from needing botox! I used to need botox every 2-3 months to keep those pesky 11s away. Now it's maybe every 6 months! And with the price of botox....whew, what a savings! (And yes, I'm using peptides too).
She is so young so expecting miracles from anti-aging products is probably unrealistic. Maybe preventative use but for that retinoids are probably better.
Abbey, would you do a video on hair styling tools? With some recommendations for all-in-one styling tools for people who never use styling tools but want to have something on hand as a versatile alternative to air drying
I've been using the Argireline serum + Matrixyl for the last 3-4 months and I really do see a difference. I'm also on tretinoin 0.025% (last 6 months) BUT I am also almost 47 years old, lol!!! Maybe your having been a tretinoin user for a very long time combined with being much younger could explain why you didn't see a difference. As always, love your empties videos!
For the argirline and matrixil serums, I think you should still release the video you made so there's different experiences about this combination. I think it's important to not only have access to positive experiences when considering purchasing those 2 serums.
I LOVE the Argirline serum but I do think it takes a couple of months of consistent use to really see any results. I’ll have to try it with the other one you mentioned. I do also use Curology (tretinoin .035%) but I do feel like the Argirline helps also!
I have also heard that the Argireline takes time... I have heard that after some time, when people aren't sure it is working, and then they stop using it, THEN they see what happens!!!!! If you have BOTOX, then you have NO use for the Argireline, because what it does is, with cumulative effect, is mute (but not paralyze) those fine muscles that are actually running thru the skin. You can tell this especially in the (elevens) between the brows... it actually makes it harder to try to use those muscles and 'knit' your brows! Crows feet can be improved.... but the bigger and deeper dynamic expression lines from bigger deeper facial muscles will not see as much improvement.
Never thought I’d spend over $10 on a dry shampoo. But you convinced me! I used the Advanced Clean dry shampoo from Living Proof and I dont think I can go back now😭
Would love a review on IGK as a brand! I purchased their Good Behavior prep spray/leave in conditioner on your recommendation and have been loving it! ☺️
Please talk about using The Ordinary hyaluronic acid directly on hair…seen people say it is life changing….but I really like how how review hair products…thanks!
@@karenl.salerno3885 So Im in my mid 20s so I dont really struggle too much with fine lines. However my skin is verrrry acne prone so I struggle alot with that as well as hyperpigmentations and dryness as well. I found that the serum has helped so much with healing my skin/ making my acne heal faster, lightening up hyperpigmentations, and rebalancing my skin! It's all around an amazing serum!! I didnt think It would do much but omg its my fave haha
I totally will never buy a hair shampoo & conditioner in the Liter size as well. I got them (Biolage) for a great price during a sale at Ulta. BUT it’s such a commitment and I get bored with hair washing products. I’m sticking to smaller bottles even if it’s more cost effective to get the largest ones.
I might have already said but Skinfix moisturizer is my lifesaver in cold Alaska winters. 😊 Never spent so much on a moisturizer but definitely worth it!
I literally was gonna pick up the Cetaphil Shea lotion tonight, but couldn’t take the smell! It literally reminded me a play- doh, I cracked up when you said that! I opted for the regular Cetaphil lotion sans Shea, and I’m glad I did! Love your videos! Thank you❤️
I LOVE IGK….and I promise you I was JUST wondering the other day what you thought of the brand. I love their charcoal dry shampoo. PLEASE do a video!!!
I love the Olaplex line. I've tried nearly all of it, and I have definitely seen a change in my hair; I've been using it for a year now. Garnier micellar water is great. I use the green one, but I'd definitely try the blue one as well. Benifit 24-hour brow setter, I use it every day. I use it first before any brow products its holds my brows all day, the essence lash princess (the green one ) is great for the price am on my 3rd one
I am definitely going to try the OGX coconut/vanilla body wash - I've already added to my Walmart list, thanks as I love your summary of each product as you go through these as well as the detailed reason why you either will or won't be repurchasing.
Hi Abbey! I'm a brand new subscriber and I'm currently binge watching every single video (when I should be working, hehe) and I feel like I already trust you with my life! So, I have a question. My hair looks very similar to yours (I've never colored my whole head, I get mainly bleached foils) and my natural hair is quite ashy and thick. I use a lot of the products you suggest, but my question is - can you suggest a routine for swapping shampoo and conditioners? For example, how often do you use a clarifying shampoo, a protein based shampoo, blonde, etc? Theres are SO MANY great option these days and I tend to stick with one at a time. I want to avoid build up and protein breakage. Thank you so much!!
Use the LaRoche Posay sunscreen and agree not waterproof. If it gets in my eyes it stings. Discovered using on a damp face that it quickly emulsifies with water (rather than repelling!) and the resulting combo doesn't stay in place. On a dry face it is absorbed easily and seems to work. Wouldn't count on it if I were going to be sweaty though. Love Olaplex #5 and just ordered #3. Thank you so much for the great shampoo/conditioner videos. So helpful!!!
I just finished the tatcha indigo overnight serum in cream. I had a backup ready to go and I’ll make sure another is on the way. It’s so pricey but I’m obsessed!
Thank you for the explanation and review of the Cerave Gel Oil. I saw it on another channel but still wasn’t sure if I should try it…. After this I will definitely being giving it a try. Happy New Year
I like the garnier micellar waters but only the oil infused ones for longwear makeup as the regular ones don't stand a chance against my heavy eye makeup. It's only the one with yellow and clear colour and the blue and clear oil infused one that work for my mascara and eyeliner without endless tugging
Right on time when I need some great pre wash oil! Thank you I have ordered Fable & Mane . Argirline serum haven't done much for me either, used for about 3 months.Any change would be very visible on my 62 years old skin lol .
I was curious if you have any recommendations for fragrance free hydrating body lotions? I'm super sensitive to perfumes and I haven't found a good hydrating fragrance free formula. Love your videos, very informative!
Hi Abbey ❤, I purchased the Peptide Night Cream, Advanced Neck Cream during the week which I'm excited to try when they arrive and of course another purchase of the Needless Serum with your discount code thank you 😊. I have the Benefit 24 hour Brow Setter and I haven't thought to use a Clear Mascara instead 😊. I have two of the Body Butters from Soap & Glory, A Cream Come True & Smoothie Star from you mentioned in a favourites video 📹. Have you tried any of their Body Washes? Do you still have the hard water issue from moving to Chicago?
My love happiness to see you in the same universe, traveling together in our world that rotates and moves resembling this huge spaceship in the same universe, also happiness and love to your beautiful soul and heart.
Hi there thanks for your video's very helpful 🥰 I wanted to ask you if you can make a review on Davines products at the moment I'm using the oi Davines range they are really good with good ingredients aswell thanks 🥰
Hey I annoy myself daily lol. I absolutely love Glossier's Solution. ❤ I have repurchased it many times. I find it truly exfoliates and makes my skin glow. Oh no you aren't alone ..I have to have certain products smell good or I can't I use them
Do you use the cerave renewing oil as a moisturizer or under a moisturizer ? I use the cerave un the tub now, do you think it's more hydrating ? Thank you so much ❤️
I really enjoyed the Fable & Mane preshampoo oil, but the scent was so overwhelming it never dissipated. I had an instant migraine everytime I used it. Unfortunate
I used up the glass skin serum by peach & Lilly and it was nice but I replaced with with the drunk elephant B-hydra intensive hydration and immediately saw results from the drunk elephant so I probably won’t repurchase the peach and Lily serum but I do still use the glass skin spray 🤷🏻♀️
Hi Abbie please can you help, I’ve read loads of reviews about pureology saying it causes hair loss which terrifies me, I’ve asked for the ph of the wella elements shampoo which is a bit too high (6) and I’m hesitant to use the redken bond shampoo or amika the Kure because I have oily roots. Do you think either of those shampoos is suitable for an oily scalp? And do you recommend any other shampoos that have a balanced or low ph? Also what’s your opinion on silicones? I’d really appreciate your opinion
How do you get your hair like that? Do you style it with a heating tool? I love it! Anyone else on here know if she's mentioned in past videos that I'm missing?
