The great thing about the Lalabye baby diapers is that your DONT have to stuff them! They are bamboo inserts so they are safe to go against the baby’s bum. The blue snaps on the insert just snap onto the cover in the front of back right on top of the suede layer! Love seeing cloth diapering videos from bigger RUclipsrs.

I think there is huge comradery in the cloth diapering community. I would hope that the people that said you were going to fail had absolutely no experience with cloth diapering. Also, it could be that other family vloggers did try and fail with cloth diapers and they expect everyone to fail. I’m here for the comradery.

My kids are 20 and 24 and I used the traditional square cloth diapers (nappies I’m an Aussie). They had the cutest patterned plastic pants over them.I think it helped to toilet train earlier. The washing was soak in a bucket and wash.I had no other friends at the time that did it.It was cheaper and no hassle. In Australia we use clothesline’s so they hung in the sun and that helped keep them white. Talking about water...We are in a bad drought in Australia so we have heavy restrictions and I live on the coast 11/2 hours south of Sydney. We pray at our church and I would love if you could at your church. We have huge fires that have Burt through millions of hectares more than 600 homes and now 8 lives and summer only started 3 weeks ago.I’m a teacher and teachers from my school and children from my school have lost homes in the last 48 hours and tomorrow the areas my school kids come from is deemed catastrophic so they are stuck.ALL our fire fighters are volunteers and two young fathers(volunteers) were killed last night.NSW is burning and we need prayer and would be so blessed to have you and your church’s prayers. If you would like to see about it you could look at the NSW RFS site.I don’t comment often but love watching your beautiful family and extended family.God gave you gorgeous children and they have amazing parents.God bless❤️

Yay!!! Cloth diaper video. And I wouldn't listen to those people who will say you'll fail. They obviously haven't ever done CDs for their kids, so they have no experience. Mom of soon to be 5, cloth diapered all my kiddos and I was told over and over again that i would fail or quit

At my baby shower I requested no disposable diapers because I wanted to solely cloth diaper. I had all but 2 people tell me I would fail. We're 17 months in and absolutely the best decision for simplicity, costs, and environmentally friendly. I found your channel through the topic of cloth. Thank you for sharing about this topic, I requested it and love your perspective. Y'all are totally amazing, such an inspiration and I appreciate you putting yourself out there. Every time I get a notification I know a little joy is going to pour into my life. Thanks for keeping it real.

I also use my dryer to dry our diapers. But! The sun is great for getting out the stains without destroying the cloth.
My boys were so big they didnt even come close to a NB we went straight to the prefolds and covers. We have some ONES, AIOs and the covers, and covers are hands down the best IMO.

Im from the UK and I really don't know how popular cloth nappies are here. Im sure lots of people must use them, but it's not something you really hear about.
Years ago all there was were Terry cloth nappies with a liner insert that you scraped off any poop and dropped into a nappy bucket with a pre wash solution. They were then washed or boiled and hung out to dry.
Reusable cloth sanitary pads are becoming very popular here. You soak in cold water with a pre wash solution and wash at low temp so not to set blood stains.
I had hysterectomy couple of years ago so I don't bleed but use them as a daily liner for freshness. This means I just throw them in the wash with my normal laundry.
So much more comfortable and warmer than disposables.
Are they popular in the USA?

    • @clothyoriginal
      @clothyoriginal 4 года назад

They're fairly popular in the uk, probably as much as in the u.s
There's a lot of options and variety of shops that sell them, even aldi during the baby events.

We use mostly bumgenius pockets that I bought second hand and I stuff them with prefolds. Magnolia is such a heavy wetter that I can't just lay the insert in a cover it always seems to move around and then she leaks. I really like lulubye diapers because it has a double pocket and you don't have to take the insert out before you put it in the wash (the agitation makes it come out). When she was smaller I really liked buttons diapers because it was a cover with inserts but the inserts snapped in. The only reason we aren't using those still is because their inserts are sized and I got such a good deal on the pockets I couldn't justify also getting a bigger size insert for the buttons diapers.

Do you guys use a pail or a wet bag? I’m thinking of switching to a hanging wet bag but like to overthink things for at least a month before I do lol
Wanted to add that almost my entire stash is from BSTs too, helps me feel better about the water/energy waste and helped keep diapers affordable.

We cloth diapered our youngest. We had already bought all her diapers but we’re going to use disposables in the hospital. But the first diaper she used blistered her so bad she bled! The dr said she was allergic to them so I sent my husband home to get her cloth. Our favorites were a plain prefixed and cover.

When my kids were born we have a service that brings clothes diapers to our home. We had a hamper and put then there, when they pooped we used the toilet to dispose the poop. They came every week and bring clean ones. We used plastic diapers covers to keep the pee and keep their clothes dry. When they had doctors appointments or went out we used Pampers. It was a great service and no washing dirty diapers.

Even with perfect wash cycle you still have to strip every 18-24 months. My experience anyways. Been clothing for over five years.
