I just learned a new rule in football. During a penalty, if the ball hits the post without the goalkeeper touching it, the penalty taker cannot touch the ball again until another player, either from their team or the opposition, has made contact with it. If the penalty taker touches the ball again without anyone else touching it first, it's considered a foul & the opposing team is awarded an indirect free kick.
Many people don't know this very simple rule: on a free kick (not only a penalty), the same player can't touch the ball twice in a row. If the ball hits the post, that's not a human being, so no other player is touching the ball, and if the penalty taker touches the ball after the post, it's clearly like if he touches the ball twice in a row.
