Honestly I’m guessing other people feel the same, but I’m happy with any type of content since I normally crochet while I watch your videos. You could have just a video of what you could think of at “boring” and I still would watch the entire video. I just love your content and as I’m crocheting 221 squares for a blanket, I am watching a lot of RUclips.
same here, idk not to be weird or anything, just feels like ive got a crochet friend sitting next to me when listening to her while i also work myself 😂
All the girls I’ve seen review this yarn have said they could NOT get the yarn to make the square using the given pattern. You don’t even look and you are able to make it work. AMAZING! Kudos. Totally ignore all the negative Nellys, they aren’t making the yarn work.
Negative Nellys?😂 Nellie/Nelly Bly, was a very famous journalist and travelled around the globe, in less than 81 days...Defeating Phyllias Fock....aaand bringing only ONE handbag🎉😅😊
I can’t believe how much I love this yarn! After the first 2 squares I rarely had to pull any yarn out. I’m almost done making a cardigan with the 3 skeins I used
@@nelliebly6616she/he is not referring to him, it’s just a saying. negative Nelly, Judgy judy, moody maddie, things like yhat. Also why is ur name Nellie bly? Are you talking about yourself?
I find it hilarious that people were upset about your refusal to follow the instructions because THAT video is how I found you and I stayed here lol. I also will read patterns and be like “nope I’m not doing that” 😂
I recently discovered you and have been binge watching your vlogs as i crochet a KING SIZED blanket that I had started may 2+ years ago and size finding you i have finally finished it WOOO!
For me I watch all of your videos I have been watching you for 3 years now so whatever content you put out I watch and when I finish I still go and Re-watch them, I don't think it's obsessed it's just that your patient and comfortable with what you're doing so I admire that about you and your Channel. So yes girl you keep me engaged and I love that and you ✌🏼❤💖
I truly am obsessed with your videos. I’ve been looking for a chochet/ knit/ cross stitch blogger forever and your videos are exactly what I’ve been looking for. ❤️❤️
Your granny square review was 1. How I discovered you and 2. What actually convinced me to buy and try the yarn. And I absolutely make them the way *I* want to 😊
@@Geneva_Skye the way I do it (it varies from skein to skein honestly) is adjust my gauge based on the color. I use a J/6mm. For example: 1. the first color ALWAYS has a tonnn extra. So I make my magic circle much higher up. (DC3, ch1)x4 If I have any extra I just slip stitch until the next color. Color 2, again verrrrry loose gauge. This time I chain one between the clusters on the corners. Again, if extra (usually only a stitch or two), sl st until the color change. Color 3 I tend to need regular gauge. Colors 4 and 5 I just need to tighten up, with 5 usually requiring a pretty tight gauge and is the one I’m mostly likely needing to rip back a bit. I think Kelsey is a much more skilled crocheter (I’m much more of a knitter) so she might have a different strategy, but it totally works for me!
Sometimes, when I have a really bad day, I sit down and crochet with you and it makes my day a whole lot better thank you for being such a kind person and just hearing your voice just makes my day even the slightest better especially when you have those huge tests so thank you
Hi Kelsi. I recently found your channel. OMG I have never seen anyone crochet as fast as you!! Lol. You are amazingly talented! I'm enjoying watching your channel and have learned a lot. You're a really good teacher. I'll be bing watching until I'm caught up. 😅
I think the crochet crowd has a tutorial but I am glad you have your own. Like you said everyone crochets differently. I also like that you seemed to be having fun with your challenges. The yarn looks beautiful to me.
me watching you make granny squares while i'm making granny squares for my granny square pants after seeing your granny square pants video....we love to see it :)
Even though I knit and don’t crotchet, I love ur content Kelsie! It’s like my fave hobby + a daily down to earth vlog. Keep it up!! I also love these long videos!
It's nice to see a young person accomplish their goals. I admire you, young lady. You do beautiful work, and using yarn we can find at local stores. Just stay focused.
I think it would be cute to make a throw blanket to keep on the back of your chair in your office. With 42, you could do 6x7. Find a purple color that is close to that light purple that is in all of the squares to stitch them all together and put a border on it. It's simple, sure, but it would be a satisfying to see all of them together like that!
I know you said you don’t like making blankets (which is completely understandable), but if you made all the skeins with the white color as the background into squares and did continuous join-as-you-go with a separate skein of white yarn, you could have a really pretty blanket that would work up a lot quicker than crocheting one the traditional way. Just something to consider. Love your videos regardless!!❤
as someone who currently binge-watches and highly enjoys your content, I absolutely get what you mean saying you're still gonna work with the yarn your way, not necessarily the recommended way. just as a piece of constructive criticism, maybe it would still be worth it to include a small section in future reviews where you also try the recommeded way? I don't think it's about people wanting you to change your style of crocheting, on the contrary, it's super helpful to see how you made this yarn work for you! on the other hand, if it's specifically review content, people will also want to watch your video because they trust your judgement and value your opinion, so maybe doing a rundown of the instructions by the manufacturer and then contrasting them with your own would enhance the quality of your review even more!☺
I think it’s so fun that you posted a video of you making granny squares and right now I’m making granny square short overalls. We’re making granny squares together!! So fun❤
I'm so mesmerized by how fast you crochet while talking, or at all in general. It's like watching your hands in fast forward while listening to you on regular speed. I'm so jealous 😂
I love these videos where you just make stuff, whether your counting or not, when you just make and tell us about your day and what your doing, I usually watch them while doing homework or crafting or while I eat dinner as they are so calming and feels like I know you. I want to find crochet friends like yours someday, im trying to "brainwash" my friends into crafting. one friend asked me to teach her how to knit a scarf, she wanted to make the one from doctor who, and them like 3 weeks after she was talking with a teacher saying she had no hobbies and I said " I gave you one!" and everyone laughed, I love spreading the craft love. anyway, just wanted to let you know that I appreciate you posting as much as you do. ive been trying to think of things you could do more of the "how many ... in one day" concepts and haven't come up with anything you haven't done already that are smaller and faster to make. however you have inspired me with the bandana video, I want to sell at little craft fairs this summer and I feel they would be a good stock item for the summer, so I have made 6 in the last 3 days in my free time. thank you for your constant inspiration. 💕
Original guess was 36, not horribly far off. Im still very new to crochet and have never made a granny square before. I'd be lucky to have half of what you made after 12 hours. I also don't know that my hands would survive that much in one day.
As a crochet/crafter whos office is a MESS, it is so nice to see how other crafters live! I love your office cleanup/organizing video you posted a while ago, maybe that would be a fun video!
You could always make a blanket out of the granny squares and I love your videos so much I have started crocheting and everyone on my school run are obsessed with the scrunchies I have been making. Thank you so much for helping me find another hobby keep up the good work
So I have this idea: Could you make a granny stitch hecagon sweater, but use the red heart granny square yarn? I think it could look super interesting. Also, i would think the individual vlusters would be one color and it would change after a few colors, so it culd look really cool. I dont really know. Just a thought. I really hope you consider doing this!
i LOVE how you handle criticism....someone people go all crazy and whine..i hate that and go on a pity trip...you just addressed it and handled it and moved on.....good work on that.

I put them together and used a 3rd skein for a border. I gave my daughter-in-law the rest of the skeins, and the granny square afghan. I agree the directions was silly.
Yesterday I made 10 granny squares but I did other things too and it wasn't 12 hours so I thought you would at least triple that but you exceeded even that! Awesome effort😀

I think with the leftover ''stuff'' you have at the end of each skein, you should use it for a scrap bucket hat, or scarf beanie etc.
I tied them together and started a little scrap ball…will definitely use it when it’s big enough :)
