Sad part is she’s serious. What is she on crack?even microfiber towels wear out and should be disposed of this just ensures you don’t keep a drawer full of souring wash cloths
Actually you can reroll them, it just takes time. You lay them end to end, but with each overlapping the next by a bit, then you roll them up by hand until they are back in a full roll. I haven't done it myself, but I have seen a TikTok of someone doing it.
Just watching and I’m with you it’s a re use product and then when they are done get a new one off the roll, personally I love the bamboo ones she recommended yonks ago, I’m still on my first roll and given how expensive paper ones are now it’s a win win ❤😢
As much as i love the re-roll freak out - I'm pretty sure I've seen people like...overlap them somehow and be able to "roll" them back up - not nicely, mind you, but somewhat functionally.
I use the Marley's Monsters Unpaper towels that I believe are cotton, and have a roll that you just slightly overlap the towels end to end as you roll them onto the roll and the towels will naturally stick/cling to each other so they don't fall apart/off the roll and can be used like paper towels. I love them and use them alongside regular paper towels depending on the need!
the thing you said about pasta sauce staining! ive heard a hack that if you put a bit of water and dish soap and add a paper towel to the stained Tupperware, close it and shake it its meant to get rid of the stains!!
@@KatieB-pd3tf This 100% works, best results with Dawn dish soap. Also, when buying dish soap, make sure it says “dish soap and not anti-bacterial soap. you can reroll them!! Its just not side-stitch. The way you do is by slightly overlapping the edges and rolling it onto a tube. It takes some practice to get them to roll up pretty but you can roll it if you overlap! I dont have the microfiber ones but i use reusable napkins and roll them on an old tube :)

It's the fabric type. Some fabrics actually "stick" to the same fabric. Like flannel, flannel sticks to flannel with no glue or tape. Some people who sew edges on fancy fabric use flannel so it sticks slightly when you overlap the pieces to reroll them on the tube
They do make real cotton fabric "paper towels" with little snaps on them so that you can use, wash, REROLL, and reuse btw! I've seen tp ones too but i draw the line at reusable tp 🤮🤮
Oh I wish you tried Swedish dishcloths! We don't use much paper towels over here, we just have like a wet cloth that you squeeze out and dry and it works again and again. I have one for each room.
Omgoodness THANK YOU!! I have been saying that to myself about paper towels for so long. It makes no sense & you can’t find that answer anywhere. I don’t feel as silly for not being able to let that go.

15:53 I had these for about 6 months. They stain very easily. Even using them to store pizza they got stained. I had one get stained by chips and it wouldn’t wash out. Also they shrunk when left in a hot car… that kinda surprised me. Like I get not microwave safe but it made me scared to even put hot food in them the same as I would normal ziploc bags

You can reload reusable paper towels on a roll I watched a RUclips video where they showed you have to lay the whole towels on top of each other & roll from the top to the bottom each one separately if this doesn't help watch a video You can get bags that stand up they have bottom like the microwave meal pouches good for freezer
Gorgeous Rachel I love you! Carbonation is CO2 infusion under pressure. Once the pressure leaves, the CO2 says, Party's over. You could put your cut banana and your open soda can in a bag. It will still go bad but it won't leak. Really a banana should be eaten as a whole.
Rachel babe, reusable BUT not going back together in a roll lol. I'm using a roll of those chux cloth things, instead of sponges. Tear one off, use it to wipe down things etc, rinse and reuse for a few times. They dry quicker than sponges (so don't get as stinky as quickly), but aren't as wasteful as using and discarding paper towel or wet wipes. No big deal if it gets stained or gross from wiping something grotty. I dunno, it works for me.
I stopped putting my mason jar lids in the dishwasher due to rusting. The water will sit in the lid which causes the rust. I now wash them by hand. The rust will come off with an SOS pad. Not sure how good the seal is on the plastic ones as far as long-term freshness.
I bought a box of microfiber udder towels 😅 they work very well but the feeling of them being dry 🤮 wet I'm okay. I've washed them on the boil cycle and they keep very well.
You only get tear away the first time then you can stagger roll them around the tube and put them back on. Also maybe I got bad reusable bags bc we have them but use them for anything but food bc it leaches the bag taste into the item
I really dislike reusable baggies like those. I will almost always choose a container over a bag. The ONLY thing I use ziplocs for is freezing bagels, and I reuse those
I am so with you on the reusable "paper towels". The beauty of a paper towel is that you use it, throw it away, and get a clean one next time. When you have to wash and store it, it becomes a towel. What's the point? Whatever benefits the earth gets from reusing them is offset by the water, electricity and detergent you use to wash them! They make NO SENSE!
If you really wanna be used, you have to overlap them in a way where they won’t fall apart just like how on Etsy they sell reasonable towels. It’s the same way they roll it up.
You can re use one pice of roll up to 50 times. Means you use less of the roll as you can wash one once you have used it instead of using multiple at a time
I'm dying over here. "re-usable" ≠ "re-roll-able" HILARIOUS! "Tear-away" = MARKETING GIMMICK! BTW: Metal Mason jar lids are two parts, the ring and the seal. The seal is only meant to be used ONCE. They are made of steal (steal rusts, aluminum does not). The Rings are meant to be re-used but honestly, not so much.
