Nice video. Thanks. Thanks also for details how the back transfer from the memory works. This feature is unfortunately not available in my similar model.
Thanks. Thanks also for publishing the DS18 and KR15 information. My machine did not work at all. without any nowledge how to operate it (in particular for division) makes it very hard to get it operational. So that's where you were very helpful. By the way, I assume that the kind-of-button left from the division start button "o" is supposed to immediately stop a division. Do you know wether that is correct? My machine immediately jams when I push it. Ofcourse that cannot be correct. But what is?

Hello, honestly I do not know the purpose of that button. I tried to press it down when dividing and it somehow confused the division. But the division continued giving some faulty result. To interrupt the division immediately you should use the lever above the R button. Normally it governs whether the keyboard is cleared or not. During the division it also interrupts division and clears the keyboard. I have some patent applications (from the Internet resources) related to Diehl. If I find more details there, I will return and let you know.
Yes, I know that the other button interrupts a division. It seems to finishes the division in a controlled way, i.e. when the operator decides that the needed accuracy has been reached. I remember that internally the button next to the "o" key blocks a movement in the division mechanism. That's why I suspect that it's intended to force an emergency stop. I'll have another look into it when I have some spare time. For now, thanks for looking in to it.
The button, you mentioned is called "u-key". You're right, it blocks the "camshaft" at the central control unit which controls the division like a music box. This leads to carriage shifts to the right, until you release the button. You can use that function as a manual tabulator (L/V Buttons): When you start a division, hold it down till the carriage is at the right position, then release it. The division starts.

When you have another questions, don't hesitate to ask. I know the Diehl mechanical calculators pretty well.
