First time listening to this song on recommendation from a friend of mine. I love the lyrics and melody, but in terms of how it sounds, I know you didn't intend for it to sound this way but it reminded me of the neo traditional country music sound of the late 80s. I don't want you to think of it as a criticism, however, because I was born around that era and grew up listening to that music and listening to your song made my mind go back to those years.
