When a film promotes itself as an adaptation of the source material and it basically covers none of except Superman dying thats a problem. There are no new Supermen here, Superman doesnt even die and most of that whole arc is axed here.

and in those exceptions, most guest starring non-title characters do end up helping the superhero. its a simple concept of focus into the main story and not being tempted into convoluted plots. yes, evil supes could've been better developed, but i get him, why he doesn't work and serves the purpose to move the story forward so he's better than average and it worked for the movie. i'd give it 2.5 though, it's rare to find good cartoons like these nowadays.

What would have been interesting is if they held off on this until they had a few movies under their belt, gaining the proper respect from viewers, so when they make a series of 7 or 8 films, with cliffhangers would be an awesome way to present a definitive adaptation. One in which we get backstory, a great fight, the JL and the Supermen Clones. Check out my review, its not as in depth like yours, but some enjoy it
Wow, you've really improved. This review definitely has rookie-itus. I'm hearing a lot of "uh's" and "likes" in your speech... a large departure from the well-rehearsed reviews that you've given since this one.
Wrong you didn't read the comic. Superman's body was in a coma state which people thought he was dead because no one knows Kryptonian anatomy. The eradicator brought his body back to the fortress to heal and then created a like Superman body to fight crime while he healed. This idea wasn't knew in SuperFriends or the other show Superman was thought to be dead as well, but again Krytonian physiology is not known to humans his body was in a coma like state to recover.
Good choice. I prefer 4 being the highest rating. The 5 star rating brought down a 3 star movie from something that's worth seeing to something that's just so-so.
I respect your opinion and your channel is awesome, but why don't you follow the structure of the movie in your reviews? Breaking the movie down in chronological order so there is more structure. It seems to bit unfocused and the fluff in the beginning made me think "let's get to the review" I'll watch your reviews anyway because they're entertaining, but it's just a minor annoyance.

Doom Vs Sups that should've stuck as the movies plot for 1 They should use the Doomsday from Superman Apokolipse it looks far more accurate, bones on the eyes are missing & he needs to be bit bigger . The JLA fight should've been included & the citizens perspective of Doom's rampage more apparent & the battle should've led up to the Metropolis final battle Sups Death should be the movie's end but leave the cliff hanger of the 4 supermen so a follow up movie coulda been made

They took a really great story and essentially GUTTED it. Yes, Superman dies. But what about AFTER that? I felt bringing the Supermen to the screen would be awesome. That's why I bought it. But it was a huge letdown. They need to stick to the comic arc, that was awesome and easy to do.
In my opinion, it the movie could've done even better as 2 parts Part 1 is just a bunch of exposition and then the big climatic battle between superman and doomsday happens END Part 2 the rest of the movie after that Doomsday is in it for like 25 minutes, I think it should've been called something else, but it is still REALLY good
On it's own this movies was ok, but as a Doomsday adaptation it was a complete fail for me. Where is the fight with the Justice League, why does the city feel so empty, where are th 4 other supermen, I really wanted to see Eradicator and Cyborg Superman does where really cool. Eh.... what a lost opportunity.
um, no, if they added the justice league into this it would've turned into an incomprehensible, overly cluttered mess that would've left too many things out and unexplained. if you even add a clip of another superhero you'll have to wonder, "ok, well if the justice league is around, why arent they helping good superman fight evil superman? it's why ALL superhero movies feature only the title characters, with rare exceptions.
my god was this a bad movie. the opening fight scene between superman and doomsday is epic as hell, but the rest of the movie is boring, and wouldnt have been that way if they actually stuck more to the comic. I wanted to have four superman like in the comic instead of one. fuck this movie
