Sreetips. As a scientist, I love what you are doing. I know NOTHING about processing precious metals; my expertise is in the biological sciences. That said, I love how hard you work to show the necessary steps that need to be taken to ensure that dangerous chemicals are treated with respect. Most RUclipsrs don’t care about fume hoods or lab safety. Your videos are like nerd ASMR. Keep doing what you do! The scientific community approves!
@@sreetips if you don't mind me asking you. Where did you get your fire wool at and also where did you get that gold melting dish at. And how many ounces can that hold? And I just love all of your helpful videos.
I like the long videos, call me weird but I love watching you refine precious metals while im trying to rest. I am recovering from pneumonia and these have helped me keep my mind off my pain
I'd like to take a second to remind the people who come in here thinking that this VERY hardworking, researching, video editing, chemical, glassware, and supplies buying husband and wife ....are NOT suddenly on the Fortune 500 list... only because you are constantly seeing them refining and displaying what can look like large amounts of Gold, Silver, and Platinum Group Metals....This labor of love has been on RUclips for way over a decade....and I love everything they do. Well done, Senior Chief!
I just can’t stop watching either. The entire process is so cool. Then the final product is mesmerizing and it doesn’t tarnish. Its malleability is so cool also. You can make things with it. There is no wonder why it stands behind all money.
I never stopped impressed watching literally gold falling out of the solution this Gold Dust literally coming out of this clear liquid it's amazing it's modern day Alchemy
Beautiful bar/pour. You have mastered this and its a pleasure to watch. Ive done 3-4 refines now from watching your videos and I learn more with every video, both old and new.

Beautifully done! Thank you for all you do. You inspired me to set up copper refining cells which I use to produce very pure copper I cast and hammer into usable items, often for the kitchen, so I am confident they are fully lead free. Thanks again. This is all such great fun.
That’s fantastic, I’d like to see a video of that. Call your channel “The Copper Smith” and make copper refining videos. With ignorance abounding about precious metals, you may have struck gold in the form of copper. Good luck!
@@sreetips Thank you so much. That is exactly what I have been considering. Almost no one knows the processes required to turn scrap copper wire tubing etc. into forgeable material. I worked on it for almost 10 years to get where I am now. You have been a great help and inspiration, thank you.
This should be taught in high school chemistry classes. Then if they want to do a fund raiser, the chem class could collect jewelry and computer parts and while raising funds, their experiments could be graded.
It amazes me how this yellow metal can be so captivating. No wonder it became real money by default. Paper money needs third party validation and is merely a promise to pay. Gold is final payment. It stands on its own.
My dad was a Experimental Diving Instructor for the Navy. He was also a Sargent Aviation Specialist 101st. His base was in Panama. He told me about propellents, fuel sources for x craft he flew for NASA. He made the first mobile decompression chamber for the Army. For deep sea recovery. He said the Navy would always ask him to borrow it. Only metallurgy he taught me was how to use metal as a propellant. .
I was a main propulsion engineer in the navy. But I flew commercial instrument multi engine aircraft for a while afterward. We have things in common. I invented the first weed eater as a kid in 1969. I was given a chore to trim the weeds around the base of our house before I could go with my friends. I had mounted a Cox .049 model airplane gas engine, with propeller, on a piece of wood and used it to finish the job in ten minutes. Would have taken an hour to trim it with hand-held cutters.
the best middle of the night 44 mins spent this week on youtube fascinating to watch for someone that knows nothing about chemistry I couldn't take my eyes off it and at one point the fact the gold was in a liquid state and not molten blew my mind a bit. clearly, a lot of hard work but that end product is worth it
Another great video. The gold sponge left after dissolving out the silver and base metals looked about the best I've seen based on the color so I'm not surprised the final bar came out as good as it did. You were pouring off a fair amount of fine gold while rinsing so I imagine that's where some of those grams went. It's hard to capture the look of pure gold on camera and of course you can't record that weird feeling of something that small being way too heavy for its size that gold or platinum gives.
That was the most beautiful sponge gold the gold was beyond beautiful. This is something that is amazing to me.. Your a brilliant fella StreeTips this was really mesmerizing to behold!! This is an amazing science an skill .. Thanks for sharing this with us ✌🏼💗👩🏼🔬

In a future video, can we get you to take one of the larger cornflakes out and break it open after dissolving the silver and base metals out of them?
Me too. interested in it's texture and how malleable it is , does it snap in half, bend, crushed in pliers or some thing. I watched one of the videos where the stir bar had beat a batch of sponge and it had looked like gold metal was stuck to it with what looked like chunks of beaten gold metal on the bottom of the beaker. I have often wondered if that sponge was put into an enclosed die would the product come out as gold metal. Thanks for the videos.
