Infiniti should have built something like this to keep up with the M5s and AMGs. Big power in a 4 door luxury sedan. Would this be possible with the hybrid drivetrain?
Thats so sick man, nice swap usually you dont go down from a v6 but this swap is perfect for that car and capable of more power than infiniti's v8's at this point anyway.

uhhhmm why would anyone do this to a m56 when the m37 makes much more sense fiscally speaking? like why spend all that extra cash for the VK56 model if you’re just going to rip it out for a VR38? lol maybe I’m just a biased v8 head but cool build regardless!
Someone please respond with some knowledge on this project. I have the same car and have the chance to get a 2010 GTR motor and would love to throw it in my m56 AWD. Please let me know if this motor will bolt up with minor fabrication and what the estimated labor would be to have everything completed. I appreciate the time and knowledge
You'd likely need the GTR transmission as well. I don't believe the M56 transmission can handle anything past 600hp. Your main hurdle would be the wiring. You'd have to find a way to wire the Oem M56 wiring harness to the VR38. Most ppl just disable all of the oem wiring and use a tablet to get readings for the Guages. They mainly focus on getting the drive by wire to link up, along with the steering and abs. Likely keep the traction control disabled as well. Also probably not focused on maintaining the AC. Of course these things can be fully integrated, just takes a lot of wiring know how. Will have a lot of trouble shooting to do. The engine will likely be in limp mode until everything can be settled out.
I love my M. I've spent 1000's to keep up to the mark. I've seen this video mutilple times and in LOVE with the rear tailights. Please reply to this comment to tell where to find them?
Can I do this to my G35 coupe automatic..?? I want a GTR engine in it, What kind of transmission do I need.?? I wanted to keep it auto twin turbo.., thanks..
Disabled it for the dyno, they obviously couldn't find a awd Dino. It should be the same as my G35X which had the first generation of the awd ATESA system. You can pull the fuse for awd and it will make it RWD.
@@syedhussain3810 well 1 is a v8 and the other is a v6 turbo but just because it's hand made doesn't mean it's going 2 b quicker. The m56 already has well over 400hp so adding a small amount of boost wouldn't hurt

MidShipCivic the V8 is much weaker. The R35 engine is basically a race engine. Designed to handle stresses far beyond the stock V8 this car came with. the answers to your question are already in the comment section.
MidShipCivic A hand built supercar engine that can put out over 2000+ HP with the right mechanic vs a factory mid performance engine with limited upgrages up to 800+ HP without having engine issues. You decide.
Bob Caca It's not overrated when it is able to make 2500+ HP on a factory aluminum block. By the way, the VK56VD V8 engine will split it's block in half at a 1000HP, and it needs A LOT of development to pass a 1000HP, the cylinder liners are too thin ( over bored ) to handle high boost.
_ICON_ There is no vr38dett that can make 2500hp on a stock aluminium block. Stop with the fan boy rumours. All 2500hp+ vr38dett are billet blocks and have fully built internals. To maintain anything over a 1000hp you need thicker sleeves and a built bottom end. Also do some more research on the vk45de, vk50ve, vk56de and vk56vd.
TOP- NOTCH TOP- NOTCH TOP- NOTCH Do you think that I'm making this up as a fanboy ?? I didn't make what I made with my car and payed what I payed out of nowhere. And it's stupid when you say " Fully built internals ", of course you would build your whole VR38 when going anywhere above 850HP. And for your information, the OEM Nissan crankshaft can take around 1400HP before it starts cracking and bending. AMS performance, T1 Racing and ETS, all of them use Billet VR blocks with thick dry sleeves NOW, but not before they tested the limit of the Factory block. AMS made 1950whp ( around 2400 crank HP ) on the 3.8L Factory block with only a billet cradle and reinforcement before they went fully billet block bored to 4.0L . Tony from T1 Racing kept pushing the Factory block even further and made 2200whp ( around 2700HP ) on it before he knew the limit, ditched it and also went fully billet. Now they usually make around 2500+whp with those GTRs going 7sec flat or sub 7 in the 1/4 mile. All 1600+HP VR38s have to have some modifications and reinforcements and secret tweeks in order to survive but still a Factory cast aluminum bare block. GTM makes a stroker 6.0L VK56 block and a supercharger kit and they claim it makes 850HP but do you find any demand/feedback on it anywhere, No. Stillen makes a blower kit which gives you anywhere between 500 to 600HP depending on your engine mods.Chris forsberg's high revving VK built by MA motorsports makes 700HP " NA ", 1000HP " Nitrous " and it's not streetable by any means. MoeJae86 What's your point exactly ?? One Shop's racing GTR has a 600HP swapped NA VK engine. So What ?? That suddenly makes it the right choice and the way to go instead of the VR or what ?? The Nismo GT3 GTR still uses a guess what, 600HP VR engine.
