      Suyamu The Ukrainian government was democratically elected by Ukrainians. Remember, the orange revolution was a campaign against corruption in Ukraine. Maidan is too. Right Sector, the people demonized by the Russian media, fights only against corruption and a fucked up government, they are for the most part against joining NATO and the EU. Of course, the pro-Russian party is also the party which houses many politicians who are said to be corrupt.

    @WindFireAllThatKindOfThing 10 лет назад +50

    That platoon of armor was hit by a pair of SU-25 Frogfoot ground attack jets, not something the separatists can field. The signatures are the massive number of high angle 30mm penetration holes on those T-72 turrets, and the evidence of cluster munitions damage (shotgun peppering) spread all over. There aren't enough wide-area incineration or impact craters to denote fuel/air explosive or high yield single-bomb payload, nor artillery. It looks identical to the aftermath of an A-10 Warthog hit. I should know, we've had the Hogs hit targets for us, and I've seen the result.

      That's the impression I got from this too. No classical artillery could do this, let alone the very inaccurate grad rocket system. The convoy is to the side of the road near the brush; classic air attack avoidance. The convoy was still together in column formation and no signs of a prolonged firefight or bombardment; one can only conclude this was a precision airstrike. I'm assuming that once they spotted the aircraft they moved towards cover and began disembarking - it appears most of them made it out but a few were caught in the vehicles when the ammunition caught fire (they didn't die from shrapnel/fragmentation).

  • @christianramos3689
    @christianramos3689 10 лет назад +25

    That attack on the armored column didn't come from the rebels. They don't have the "technology" available to destroy a moving column like that by them selves. This most likely came from an precision air-strike by no other than Russia. If you look at the column, they all stayed perfectly on the path, now if it was conventional artillery being fired at them they would have had time to move off the road or stagger. On the other hand, an air-strike would not leave enough time for them to evade or try to veer for cover; which is the case here. Now ask yourself do the rebels have Jet Fighters or who is helping them?....

    • @k1lkenny
      @k1lkenny 10 лет назад

      How do you know the column wasn't stationary? I'm not trying to dismiss it being Russian but I think an ATG attack is unlikely. Well directed artillery have been used this very same way before in Ukraine, Vice News even have dispatches of the aftermath, it's very reminiscent of this.

      Impact crater at 6:23 is too small for an aircraft bomb, more consistent with a BM-21 Grad rocket, especially when matched with the devastation surrounding the hit. A 122m is also a possibility, but I think that might leave a larger hole.
      It was also reported in 2016 that DNR artillery used Russian malware to geolocate Ukrainian columns.

    Sadly Putin needs to do what it have to do, while NATO keep expanding west and taking Russian influence, Russia cannot stay without doing nothing. You might say this or that but that is how things work, if China started building bases in Mexico, Cuba, Canada i don't think US would be very happy.

    • @kevjtnbtmglr

      Russia has to trust NATO won't attack unless it's laws are broken ("article 5" or whatever.."). And in any case, they can giveNATO MAD or proxy hell. But Ukraine is not Kremlins, it cannot be the proxy hell.

    • @zeeninetynine
      @zeeninetynine 10 лет назад +12

      Infinitus Cyclus Oh, so Russia "deserves" it as well? Noone has the rights to do it. And USA involvement in Ukraine is rather questionable, as is NATO's -- they're constantly shying away from providing any military support, not to mention intervence. Of course, weak Russia is convenient for USA just as weak Ukraine is convenient for Russia.. The bottom line is, Ukraine made a choice and now its suffering for wanting to improve, for finding its own identity and choosing the "European" path. The obvious aggressor here is Russia and it has to be dealt with first. Afterwards, we can get back to bashing the USA..

    The armor column was likely hit by a helicopter gunship. An aerial bomb or artillery would have blown wreckage all over the place. These vehicles are still in a column on the road. Strafing with automatic canon fire or missile hits would destroy the vehicles from within, which is what looks like happened. A sophisticated piece of equipment like a helicopter gunship could only come from Russia. More proof of Russian direct combat involvement.
    Because of their speed, jets would have had to make several strafing passes. This would have left target vehicles scattered at different points as they tried to outrun the attack. A helicopter gunship on the other hand, could have hovered and poured concentrated fire down upon the column until all targets were destroyed. Ant helicopters can travel below radar. Just ask Bin Ladin.

    People in the comments seem to ignore the fact that Russia is quite strong, has a decent amount of allies, and terrain that you can't really cross. It's just a massive stronghold. People also seem to ignore the fact that America isn't really all that strong; even with all of its allies the war against Russia, possibly China, and a good portion of soviet bloc countries and the middle east would take years, millions of lives and would maybe even lead to the annihilation of the human race. But by all fucking means man, let's just attack Russia for essentially no reason.

  • @copa2nl

    Artillery cluster munitions have the exact work-out as shown in this video. No craters but fragmentation from above setting of secondary explosions in the vehicles that where hit. Also notice the vegetation all around witch isn't that badly burned down. Most people are presumably killed by the pressure waves and those close to the vehicles got burned by the fuel and munitions that exploded. To hit a convoy with such accuracy and with cluster munitions is only possible with well trained gun crews and first line observation equipment like drones and GPS guided targeting systems. Until now the seps didn't show such capability's so this makes you wonder how of a sudden they can do this.

What about the yt vids that proof that russian forces shelled into ukraine? What about the sattelite pictures that indicate that russian forces shelled ua forces? What about the videos that indicate that russian forces are supplying the insurgents? List goes on and on and on....

And all while they were 'on holiday' too. In a warzone in a country that is not Russia. While driving their tanks. What a terrible coincidence! I wonder how happy their mothers and families are to be lied to about the circumstances of their deaths? Or does something bad happen to you if you complain too much?

    Мужик в полосатой футболке ездил со съемочной группой почти весь репортаж и рассказывал, как он не любит Украину и ждет прихода ДНР. Явно эта сволочь и сдала позиции ВСУ которые расстреляла артиллерия РФ. Надежда что до старости не доживет, падла
    А реакция некоторых жителей убивает своей тупостью, когда позиции украинских солдат и город обстреливала ракетная артиллерия РФ, бабка на суржике кричит "Порошенко останови, дай команду стоп, это шо украінская власть, зачем ти убіваешь украінскій народ" непонятно, то ли люди смотрят только российскую пропаганду, то ли они действительно такие имбицилы, что верят в обстрелы со стороны ВСУ самих себя пока были в городе. Бои идут уже под Мариуполем, а они всё думают, что это их украинская артиллерия обстреливает, биомасса тупых дегенератов, не способная анализировать факты.

    Old video but, Here is a sentiment about being at war. People are dying and running out of supplies yet these people are crying that their shop is being robbed. It is already a fight for survival. Whether the armed forces gets from a shop when they need food and also distributes to the civilians who needed the supplies or not, they should already know that this will happen.

    • @andriesgeyser5524
      @andriesgeyser5524 5 лет назад

      Old video but this is 100% correct. Taking food and water from a shop and distributing to suffering civilians is not robbery, it's wartime aid.
      Seconds after that scene you can see civilians cleaning the street with brooms even though they are in the middle of a war zone. Yet according to Vice law and order had completely broken down.
      I have grown to distrust Vice a lot over the past couple of years and take everything they report with a ton of salt.

      Ok, let me try:
      In the eastern Ukraine there were some separatists calling for breakout from Ukraine - this was the region Donetsk, and the country called itself The People's Republic of Donetsk (DNR). (For comparison, think of as say Texas secceeding from the US forming the nation Texas). Ukraine couldn't tolerate this, especially not since they've already lost the region Crimea to Russia in a referendum.
      It all escalated into a civil war with Ukraine on one side with the goal of reclaiming the (illegal) nation DNR and probably Crimea as well (but I doubt that, since Crimea now belong to Russia and that is a MUCH harder nut to crack. Guess it would take some serious diplomacy work to return Crimea to Ukraine). Ukjraine is backed by both Europe and the US, even if not in that much military aid, but both the US and European countries have contributed with money.
      On the other side you have this people's republic fighting for their independence (Think of the confederate US states) and they are actively backed by Russia, and Russia has apparently also sent in actively fighting troops.
      That is a very short and probably not that accurate description of what has happened, but I think that's the gist of it all.

    Ukranian army have left to rebels a lot of heavy weapon, a lot of Grads, artilery.. etc. Also rebels now have a Central Command center, and they fight more efficiantly.
    Ukranian Army and National Guard have a great problem with coordination of their forces. That's why they they are loosing in the war.

    I think it's pretty obvious that Ukrainians in the east want this stopped. Poroshenko ought to take heed and the UN organize a peace-keeping and clean-up mission. A plebiscite under UN auspices should decide the status of the Donbass area, unless Poroshenko can come up with an autonomy scheme that will satisfy, and protect, russian-speaking Ukrainians. In the meantime the National guard and Kyive military need to be put out of harm's way, say, west of the Donets.
