Another great video Sion. I’ve commented this before , but the way you calmly and logically deal with whatever problem is thrown your way is most impressive. 👍
Great progress & although the water pump bolt has caused a hassle, you will be able to sort a lot out, with the engine removed. The paint looks brilliant, credit to your friend
Sorry to see that broken bolt. I had to change the water pump on my Mk1, it literally feel apart as I took it off the car and had clearly not pumped any water for a while. That had caused over heating which also toasted the thermostat and temperature sensor. I went to a scrap yard, took one off a scrapper and paid ONE POUND for it. You tell that to kids today and they...etc...etc...
Well done sion another great video on the fiesta it’s a shame it’s turned into a much bigger job but at least it will help in that more jobs on the engine can be done at the same time I did wonder if the ford pipe was zinc coated and may need priming before paint That was a brilliant bodge on that pipe by the previous owner! Looking forward to the next one Daniel
Hi, love the content, I’ve learnt a bit, where do you get all your parts from ? I have an 1.3 87 mk2 Orion (same Kent engine)and parts are not easy to find
I see your exhaust looks almost new. I am struggling to find a fiesta Mk1 rear exhaust section, I wonder if you have come across any in your search for parts?
They are not easy to find. I bought a Klarius one from eBay, but the quality isn't great as it resonates at various points in the rev range. I later found a genuine NOS Ford one in Italy, which I managed to have shipped to the UK via Ireland!

Problems with older cars, getting the correct parts.😢👍

My dad built me a MK1 XR2 "look a like" for my first car back in the mid 90s. If I remember it was only a 1.1 but it looked the part lol 😂.

Bad luck but you will also be able to restore the engine bay👍🏻😀
I'm preventing hopefully exactly this by replacing most of my cooling system now 😅😅

Aww thank you. I get my parts mainly from scouring ebay to be honest

Thank you for this, much appreciated. I have a Klarius one on the way, I will see how it goes! Better than no exhaust.....@@MorselsAndMotors
Hi, the cooling pipe you sprayed black appeared to be zinc coated so unless you used an etch primer the paint will probably flake off...
I was thinking the same Andrew
It might be ok, that simoniz tough satin black is good stuff and takes to most surfaces quite well without primer.
aha he does not reply to comments 😞 or even like them
I just take a while!
