Groucho: "Rolling Stone? You don't look like Mick Jagger, get out!"
At least you had the opportunity to meet him. You did it by false pretenses but hey, you got to meet him.
"you bet your life" watch the shows he was so funny
This is such a interesting little tidbit. I wonder if someone told him Rolling Stone was coming… msybe that final partner of his, the one who was a little … out there🤑🤑🤑
How old was this man when he met him, groucho died in 1977.
I saw Groucho being wheeled in his wheelchair by the lady who was his caregiver. She was taking a lot of criticisms in that era of 1976. Fans were suspicious about whether or not she was a gold digger taking advantage of an elderly star.
I was about 17 years old.
They were at the Los Angeles Dorothy Chandler Pavilion seeing “The Odd Couple” by Neil Simon starring Tony Randall & Jack Klugman. I watched them from my balcony seat. I would have loved to meet Groucho. ❤

I mean he was old and sick and was lied to in that state of ill health by people he didn't know trying to take advantage of the opportunity to come into his house under the pretense of conducting an interview. It's pretty reasonable to be pissed off at people doing that. It's more of a jerk move to think you're entitled to walk into a dude's home lying about why you're there while he's old and sick and could be doing something else with his remaining time besides indulging morons who come to idol worship.
I adore Groucho ❤
"Hello!"
"Hey! you're not with Rolling Stone!"
"I must be going"
So Groucho was a jerk?

😂how is Groucho the jerk when he was lied to and he then kicked out the liars. People are sooo dumb.
