    The client already has a little bit of copper in her hair which helps for not needing to fill.. If your hair is bleached blonde level 10 always fill

    First I want to let you know how amazing you are at explaining all of this! You really should be teaching at a professional cosmetology school! I am only a person that is interested in finding ways on how to redo my hair color differently. And this really helped me along with so many of your other videos! Please keep it up and I will make sure to share your videos! Thank you so much!! Sandi

    i love that you show your formulas for ppl like me who teach themselves color theory and processes!!! i usually use the wella system and i had been bleaching my hair for a few yrs but i really missed my dark hair for the fall.. i filled at 1st with a red gold combo but i still got the green tones.. i used a pigment gloss a few times and my hair is finally even-ish lol and i like the color but i REALLYYYY need a formula to get a dark mocha choc warm color!! i have naturally lvl 2 hair and i dont wanna go that dark i think like lvl 4.5 might be perfect.. but i need darker than this video do u have ANY suggestions or advice on ANYTHING that would help me!? i love your vids btw

      Thank you! You definitely need orange to fill as well. You need all three tones. The red pigment molecule is the biggest and doesnt go under the cuticle enough which is why it still turned greenish. Orange would also prevent green.
      If you want a goal of 4.5 then fill it with level 6.5 of red/orange and gold. Then wash/dry and go in with matrix colorsync 5m 6g 10volume. Hope this helps!🤎

    If my roots have greys do i use 20 developer for the roots then 10 developer for the rest of the hair????

  • @ladybaabaa3294
    @ladybaabaa3294 2 года назад +2

    I'm always confused as to how toning dark roots (say a level 4) using say a level 7, doesn't automatically lift the roots to an orange / too brassy brown while the rest of the hair that's already lighter looks perfect!

    • @Pinkfrosting962
      @Pinkfrosting962 Год назад +3

      I’m always trying to learn. I think it’s the developer? Anything under ten isn’t going to be able to lift. The developer is what opens the cuticle to get the pigment in. Without developer the toner wouldn’t do anything at all. It’s just like a stain, that’s why it’s Demi permanent. 😄 I think so anyway!

    What are the measurements for each product?
    7G : ?
    8M : ?
    10 v developer: ?

    • @MaxineGlynn
      @MaxineGlynn  2 года назад +7

      Equal parts! So 1 ounce of each 7g and 8m and then 2oz of 10volume🤎

    so awesome that u actually explain everything and show the behind the scenes! i was actually wondering , i went blonde about a year ago and have been wanting to go back to my natural color which was kind of light brown , dirty blonde almost, my blonde ends right now are similar to the way your client’s was, would you recommend not using filler as well? my natural hair is lighter than the brown you took your client’s to :)

    • @MaxineGlynn
      @MaxineGlynn  2 года назад

      Thank you! Only if your goal color is in the light brown level and warm then a filler may not be necessary

    Hi Maxine - I liked this a lot. I did it, but one step darker than your formula (7M, 6G). The color really took to my fading blonde. Now I am between level 5 and 6 - with a dark brown/ red hue. I'd like to keep what it is but lose the red to be a truer dark ash because my roots are dark brown (like in the photo). I have a question; would you recommend that I do the ash formula at level 6(A) and 5(N)? Or to go ahead at level 5(A) and 4(N)? And what do you recommend for gloss as I see Matrix leaves a matte tone. Thanks!

    This is exactly what I want, to get away from the highlights I currently have and back to a single color. Qu: when her roots grow out wld u just color her roots, same as someone w/ a single color? (I hope I'm asking that correctly)

    I’ve messed up my hair! I had lots of bleached highlights and wanted to go back to a level 6 neutral brown. I had already put a temporary colour on which made my hair a kind of strawberry blonde and then I used redken shades 6NB as it said it was a neutral brown/blonde. Well it looks a lot darker than a 6 and there’s a lot of red in it still. How do I fix this to a neutral colour without going darker please?
