- Join me for a fragrant flower stand set up! We'll make lily bouquets for the flower stand and spicy stuffed peppers from the garden. Then I'll share a sunflower compote arrangement before the rain rolls into town.

Stuffed pepper recipe -
Approx. 12 banana peppers cut in half, seeds removed
Mix the following -
4 oz cream cheese
12 oz sausage (browned along with two cloves of chopped garlic)
1 cup grated cheddar cheese
1/4 cup parm cheese
1/4 t (to taste) garlic powder
1 T Worcestershire sauce
1/8 t red pepper flakes
Fill peppers and bake at 425 for approx 20 minutes (until golden brown on top)

The smell of lilies can be intoxicating I am blessed to have a large living room that can handle the fragrance. Not over powering, but a pleasant surprise when I walk into the room.

The airy blue forget me nots in the sunflower Steve bouquet added just the right touch of whimsy to what might otherwise feel too much like late summer. Does anyone else begin to mourn a little once the sunflowers & rudbeckia begin to bloom? July 4th often marks the zenith of summer to me, when snatches of fall golds creep into our bouquets. All are exquisitely beautiful, but there is a gentle melancholy to the passage of time in a garden...sigh.
Yes! My rudbeckia are about to open (in part sun) and I plan to enjoy every minute of them. It is way too early for back-to-school ads but the stores are all about it. Let summer be summer!

Definitely grow Asiatic lilies. The solid colored ones tend to take up much more space-I thought they were tree lilies at first they were so tall-like torchieres in a gothic castle.😃 However, the multicolored ones like “Tribal Kiss” take much less space, but have really striking colors. I’d suggest growing them in different parts of your yard. The ones in part shade bloom a bit later than the ones in full sun.
Lillies is my favorite I love the oriental and the smell. I had Casablanca lillies for my wedding
Gorgeous arrangement. Lavon is one of my favorite lilies. I don't grow flowers to sell and can't bring my self to cut a whole stem of lilies . I don't want to miss a single bloom. Those stuffed peppers look delicious.

You tasting the sausage mixture cracked me up! I find adding red pepper flakes is so tricky. If you so much as flinch while handling it, you end up you end up burning your tongue.

Here’s an old florist trick for pollen. If it gets on something where you dont want it - even clothe, use a chenille stem or pipe cleaner and lift it off. Whatever you do don’t wipe or rub.

Hi Nikki! I leave the lily bulbs in the ground. We receive alot of rain here, so usually a thorough watering with a watering can upon planting will suffice. I'm so sorry I'm clueless about drip irrigation!

I built a flower cart from an old rusty utility cart, I live a half a block from a busy highway and I made 4 signs for the hwy and one at the cart in my yard. Unfortunately I have only had 2 sales since spring…..What am I doing wrong? Please help. Thank you.
Your stuffed peppers sounds so delish! And your Lavon lilies are divine. I’ve always grown asiatic lilies but I was so inspired by your oriental lilies (and also by Y Garden) that I grew them for the first time this year. They just bloomed 2 days ago and I wasn’t disappointed ❤️Sadly, the bunnies ate 2/3 of my bulb sprouts several months ago 😂
Hi, I wanted to let you know that I adored the gladioli you recommended earlier this years, like the whit and the blush ruffledone. I looked far and wide to find them and now the are blooming. The pure white ( white prosperity) is wonderful as is the blush one, Cream Perfection. Katharina is starting to show too and it looks very promising. Thanks again for the suggestions. Your garden is looking wonderful! Whaw, the lilies are exhuberant! Mu lilies from last year never came up again. Do you need to plant fresh every year?

Yes for lily tour! I have a question. How do you size control your smoke bush? How old is your bush? If cut i cut it in half would each shoot send up two more stalks. I really don’t want that to happen. I like the way it looks right now. The seem way yours looks right now.
I love the flower arrangements and the stuffed peppers look so good. The lilies are beautiful but I can’t stand the smell of them. I put a vase full of flowers that had a lily in it too near my brand new lamp and the pollen stained the shade. But you can’t beat lilies for a big impact flower.

Do your bouquets have any lilies on the back side of the jar? It would seem with laying the stems on a table as you demonstrated, that everything is oriented in one direction, but that may be just my perception...difficult to understand what is going on there. I love the simplicity of this method and I have never seen it before. I would love to see an instructional video on this along with other styles that you have developed and perfected.
I'm so bummed about the orange lilly beetles we have here in NY. You don't suffer from them down there? Unless I sprayed, they would just decimate the plants. These are really pretty.

Just gorgeous, Danielle. I was wondering if the entire fountain is from P&H or just the hydro kit. I went to their site, but the one they are showing looks nothing like yours. Also, how did you wildflower meadow turn out with the plugs you added? I would like to try that next year. I live in 5b.
Hi Christine! The fountain came with a plastic basin, but I decided not to use that. The lion birdbath it's in was a gift from my hubby. Unfortunately, the meadow had to be cut down. In short, a neighbor reported my "weeds" to the police. It was a whole situation. I think the naturalized daffodils will stay there, but having the police come was just not something my personality can handle.
