Bought the same tuner for my 2014 Chevy Silverado. It does everything you tell it to do...pretty happy with it. Worth the money? Heck yes. No more 4-cylinder mode, speed limiter gone, tire size corrected, 91/93 tune, adjusted for higher airflow (intake), TCM "firm", and the #1 best part...20% boost on the throttle cal. And there is still more one can do to tweak and have fun with this unit. It improved my truck...much more fun and "truck-like". Took all the goofy GM fuel savings nonsense BS out and put the "fun" back in.
I have the same truck (2017) ... I also installed the diablo intune i3 . AFM delete , TPS +20% and diablo tune. Trucks drive very nice now, it has double exit magnaflow and air filter.
Was having trouble deciding on a tuner and your video helped me alot, I drive a 2016 Sierra ATX and just really wanted to get AFM off, all this extra stuff the tuner has to offer is a nice plus... LOL... I had a 69 El Camino that I put a built big block (461")and six speed manual . But... I kept the cam fairly mild and ran a quadrajet on it. Car would run down into the 12 sec quarter mile and fry the tires for the first three gears. It had a rev lock clutch that was really light pressure to operate but hooked up well. My girlfriend drove the car all the time. She drives very conservatively and she never once even made the tires peep. To her is was just a normal car. Once she had to get on it a bit to get on the freeway but again... very light touch on the throttle. she said that 'boy.. this thing has some 'pickup'. said that when she looked at the speedo she was going 90 mph which is probly the fastest she has ever driven LOL. Honestly it has blown me away. Sadly I’m back to work full time so I haven’t had much time to make a more recent update but I will probably this weekend. I just did a wide open throttle data log for Lew since I’ve driven 300 miles on the first custom tune. My truck basically has sports car like acceleration now. I can’t say enough about how happy I am so far with Lew.
Good day sir thank you for your video I have a 2009 Chevy Tahoe with a 5.3 I put a supercharger on it bigger injectors I just put a brand new motor in the truck I’ve had it for two weeks it’s running really rich I do have the Diablo sport tuner I’m not too sure how to use it I bought this vehicle from a family friend it definitely runs really rich is there anything I can do other than having a Dyno tune done The reason I replace the engine compression ring in number five when we had a horrible misfire but I got a brand new crate motor and it seems to run well I just like to make it so it doesn’t run so rich thank you very much Michael US military
How does this affect mpg? I just had to replace 6L80 transmission at 96k due to torque converter failure in 2017 Silverado LT 5.3l. Can this product help with transmission life? I have also never put anything but 91 octane in this truck.. assumed with v8, it needed it, but the manual says 87 is minimum. I think I've been wasting money.
How do you get this thing to work? Mine doesnt connect to wifi, there was no updater file to even update the piece of shit with.. i mustve gotten sent the original non working prototype
Yes. This tuner worked perfect. Bumped mine up 100 rpms and it idles smooth now. Did the 91 octane tune, firm shift, and increased throttle response. Im impressed with it. Runs much better and is definitely more aggressive. Id recommend it
Got any updates? I just ordered the Diablo Trinity one with the mountable touch screen for engine vital monitoring. Should be back in town in a week to install it, can’t wait to see the difference in drive quality on my 17 Silverado. Did you turn off that torque management shit? I feel like the biggest difference will be that (at least in my case because I disabled the AFM when I first bought the truck years ago)

I'm just trying to decide between this one and the predator 2. I really like What I heard on your video these issues are exactly what bothers me. Looks like hesitation and the truck feels weak.
I believe the predator is older and may not get as much future support. I’m not entirely sure but worth checking into. I did look at the trinity but I believe that adds around $300.
I will definitely get the i3. I've been researching and the predator does give you the option to customize and I want to customize in the future. Thanks for the reply
I miss the days when having a V8 meant you could spin rubber from a standing start. New vehicles seem to lack the low end torque to really lurch forward from standstill.
@@BostonJoe620 So-called "torque management" to cover for the fragile transmissions, I suppose. I'll never forget the time when I rented the Home Depot truck to bring home a snow blower. I don't recall if it was a Ford or a GM truck, but on the way back to the store, I stopped at a traffic light and decided to tromp on the accelerator when the light changed and to my utter shock, the truck spun rubber and lurched to 30MPH in about 2 seconds. One 60s muscle cars could do that. And this was a 10,000 lb flatbed truck. However, my Silverado 2500HD, has all the power above 3000 rpm and very little from a standing start. It seems to have to "spool up" --almost like there's a lot of slippage going on. My mechanic went over the truck and said there's nothing wrong with the engine --good compression, etc. and that pickups are heavier in the rear than flatbeds. But I'm convinced that flatbed was a heavier duty truck, based on recollection, which could be mistaken. I wonder if these tuners would give the low end torque that I remember in the 60s?
@@BostonJoe620 Well that's encouraging. When all other issues with my Silverado are resolved (complete brake job getting done this week), I may try one of these tuners and see if the low end torque can improve significantly.
