You know what's kinda ironic. Stewie the person that wanted to dominate the world is now one of the nicest characters in the series while nearly everyone else is unredeemable.
+Joseph Orlando How could you not watch both the older season's Of Family Guy and the newer season's of Family Guy! And not root for only Stewie! I mean as crazy/psychotic as he is! He's probably the only sanest person in the entire series (As in the earlier seasons, Stewies's like "I need a backup plan to eliminate the insane jackasses who are capable of destroying the lives of so many other decent people)!
tiggle5485 That's because he's a bad father. It makes me respect good parents even more. I have more respect for Duckman because even though his family is dysfunctional, he still frickin cares about them. He tries to move on after his wife dies while working as an investigator and trying to make the world better for his boys. And I frickin love Goofy. Even in Goof Troop he's a beloved character.
Lessee... drunk, check. Delusions of grandeur, check. Terrible person, check. Self-centered, check. Child born out of wedlock... well, there's another season on the way.
Second chances? 1st Chance: Left Dillan as a baby. 2nd Chance: Left Dillan after swearing to stay in his life. 3rd Chance: Used Dillan to get a writing job. Everyone deserves a 2nd chance. Consider yourself VERY lucky if you get a third one, and try not to strike out.
Technically this is his second chance since he never left him as a baby. in the episode dylans introduced in its stated brian didnt even know he existed until he tracked down dylans mom to rekindle the flame from their quick romance they had before dylan was born. They basically had a quick fling and never saw each other again
Reviews of a copyrighted piece of media are legally allowed under Fair Use in the US, but the DMCA is abused by Fox and several other major media companies cause they can't read the Fair Use laws themselves and/or can't take criticism well...cause bad publicity makes them less money...
@@Ollyiswild_04 He learned that from Norman Lear as well. It's a technique I like to call it "fauxfundity," i.e. taking a stupid and easily refutable statement and making it sound profound. It's one of the primary things that makes bad TV bad.
In a series where God and Jesus have both been shown to be real. You can't use your series to argue against the existence of God if he actually does exist in it. It just makes the character doing the arguing look like a dumbass, like flat-earthers or anti-vaxxers.
Wow, that deleted scene was actually very genuine, and heartwarming. It's amazing how one scene could affect an entire episode. If they kept it in, it would have been somewhat decent. Unfortunately they chose to cut it; making the episode worse.
This is why network TV is dying. Look at pre-1990s TV. Sitcom episodes routinely ran 24-25 minutes or even more prior to the 1980s. Now, they barely reach the 22-minute mark. Time that used to be used for plot resolution is now used for advertising.
Oh, man! You know, that also happened to Buck Cluck in Chicken Little when that movie had a deleted scene of him trying to cook for his son. August 7, 2020, 4:25pm

Every Brian episode summed up: Brian gets a taste of some level of success, it goes to his head, Brian becomes a major a-hole, something happens and he takes a hit resetting him back to where he started. Rinse and repeat.
I don't know what is worse: that the writers can seem to think of anything better to do with the character or that Brian never learns to not let his successes go to his head in the first place.
The whole idea of abusing the status quo and never having characters learn anything _really_ gets on my nerves. It's probably the laziest way ever to write a comedy.
Oh I know, worst example of this was the episode where they were all stuck in the house due to a hurricane or tornado or whatever it was. Meg finally stood up for herself, put the whole family in their places and set things right. Then, for some B.S. reasoning that boils down to "have to re-establish the status quo" they had her take it all back and everything returns to normal. Not only does it suck because her telling them off was right and a long time in coming but it also made the whole episode pointless. The only thing going on in the whole episode (aside from some weak story about Brian eating mushrooms and having a bad trip) and it's made moot by the end. By far the worst installment of that whole shared story between the shows (followed a close second by "The Cleveland Show" episode where they spend the whole episode browbeating Junior for not beveling in God (depsite not showing any outward sign of being religious themselves and even taking some hard shots at people who are, from the characters who say they're religious, especially Donna), then, when Junior saves the day they give God all the credit and pretends to agree to resolve the issue. In fact the only really good story was the "American Dad" one where Stan kept insisting on being in charge and making all the decisions for his family, all of the making things worse. Add to that the bit about Roger trying to get rid of a clingy one night stand and Steve driving everyone nuts showing off what he's learned about architecture. It was the only one that was actually funny and had a point.
"Is taking a risk better than not having a Dad?" Fuck no, I'm in that position myself, left my father because of all the times he made false promises and didn't hold up his end of parental deals. What the fuck no wonder I stopped watching this show. Thank you for bringing light to it Enter.
Same here. However other people are having hard time to understand that decision since 'stereotypical family' and parents always love their children and I'm just mean and rude for not loving back. There's a difference in love and abuse. And simply not caring. There has been dozens of chances and promises that my father would be part of my life and do things better and it hurts everytime he brakes the promises. Hugs for you Zetsubo. *hugs*
Likeable characters? On Southpark of all shows? Southpark is no holds barred. Everybody on that show is an absolute dick, even more so than Family guy, and unlike on family guy, nobody tries to hide it. Lolol.
Deity Saturn at least even then Yondu has the excuse of being what's basically a Space Pirate. He doesn't have to be a good person, that behavior fits Yondu as a character at least.
Brian was my favorite character until the STDs, hidden family, thinking he is the best fucking person in the world, ego, etc. At this point I just avoid the show entirely. That is
I loathe when people say that people are pussies for thinking the gore is immature and disturbing and say, "It's a black comedy. It's supposed to be that way." Black comedy can be done well. Family Guy just uses it to shock people and be edgy.
Yep. Family Guy's "dark comedy" is basically: Peter: "Rape!" Lois: "Rape?" Brian: *nods* "Rape." *cutaway in which someone gets raped* *Lois rapes Peter again* Meg: "I got raped!" Entire family: No one cares, Meg! *Credits*
You forgot the subplot of the episode where someone's in a situation and they don't know how to fix it but you don't care because it's Family Guy and you know it's going to be fixed no matter what.
They've even used Lois raping Peter as a plot point twice &, in both cases, Lois is supposed to be the more likable character. This show's so repetitive.
You know how this episode would be so much better? *Brain texting on the couch when his phone instead plays a jingle. He taps the screen and answers.* Brian: "Hello?" *A few seconds of silence, Brain going bug-eyed halfway through.* Brian: "Dylan? Why are you calling?" Stewie: "Dylan? Your son? Haven't heard you mention him in ages!" Brian: "Yeah, I try to keep our interactions private; it's the closest thing we can get to some father-son time." *time passes* Brian: *texts* You never told me that you were going to be on a sitcom! Dylan: Do you ever listen to your voicemails? *quick harmless cutaway to Brain clearing his voicemail cache* Brian: *texts* ... Oops. *cut interaction with Brian and Dylan* *and then proceed with the episode as normal, Dylan also ratting Brian out for being alcoholic, overzealous and BRIAN.* This. This would show Brian as a responsible parent, give an explanation as to why we haven't heard from him for a good while, and actually give Brian some humility; something he NEEDS. And there's no salvaging Peter's arc, just extend Brian's storyline to cover 22 minutes.
To be honest i never though he would go back to beat up Family Guy again. Not saying it's wrong since it's not and i like him for crapping over Family Guy i'm just saying that's all.
Brian is both a reassurance and a warning A reassurance that no matter how harshly I criticize myself, I'm nowhere near as repulsive as Brian has proven himself to be And a warning that I can fall much, MUCH further if I don't watch myself.
I hate, hate, HATE hate HATE this stupid idea that you need to keep abusive, neglectful, or manipulative people in your life just because you're related. DNA means nothing if you treat your family like shit. You owe shitty relatives nothing, if all they do is repeatedly drag you down. You know Pay It Forward wasn't a good movie, but it did have one of my favorite lines. Kevin Spacey: He impregnated you. In what other way has he been a father?
Konnie The Hero Completely agree. It's not always easy to let those people go, often because of pressure from other family members (at least in my case) to forgive them and that "I'll regret it if I cut them out of my life" but honestly, since I let them go I've felt a huge weight off my shoulders and I've never felt better. I wouldn't recommend anyone to keep holding on to anyone who is nothing but harmful to you, no matter who they are.
The worst thing about the "Sideways for attention, longways for results" joke? It isn't even original. That's been around for years before. The exact phrase.
@Red Coin I think it's just a continuity issue. I mean he met the son of god, asked him to prove it through performing miracles and watched him perform miracles.
If I had to guess just because jesus real dosent mean the Religion is true I mean the book was written by man Also Jesus said all religion is bull in one episode
Brian was my favorite character, until they fucked him up. His comedy was more chilled and actually funny and he had reason and actual thought put into his character. But then they just decided that his character wasn't good enough anymore.
Many characters got flanderized, but Brian got the worst flanderization. In the old seasons, he was actually my favourite character, but nowdays he's just an asshole.
Yeah, other than that Star Wars parody episode (which I think is absolutely hilarious), I'm not gonna feel the urge to watch any other episodes of Family Guy.
I love the 1st 11 seasons. But after season 12 most of my respect for the show was gone. At least the few episodes where Brian and Stewie go on an adventure are decent to pretty good and Stewie’s character as a whole.
@@bbgunz1705 Are you kidding? Those were some of the worst. Literally the only thing funny about "Blue Harvest" is the fact that Rush Limbaugh and Helen Reddy were in the same episode.
I couldn't agree with you more. Even if it didn't have the suicide "joke", this episode is dreadful beyond compare. Brian and Peter are both at their worst here and Brian particularly, this episode is a good case for why they shouldn't have brought him back. This and "Herpe the Love Sore", that is.
Casual CraftMan they've made a NAZI joke of all jokes they could make, & it was subtle enough that older viewers would get it, but it would fly over the head of any younger viewer. I really consider the Amazing World of Gumball as a spiritual successor to shows like Rocko"s Modern Life
I know you hate Family Guy, but I can't help but love every review you do of them. You do them with such work and care for animation as a medium, and it really puts a smile on my face. Sorry that you endure this pain, but I love how you care so very much for animation. You do such good work.
Nicholas Clark in all reality, mr. enter has made me quite a better person and almost every review he has done puts a huge smile on my face. he has so much respect for all of his fans, he's not afraid to tell everyone why they're wrong but also acknowledging what they've done right. of all the reviewers i watch, he's the one i aspire to be.
Dodo 1. He may have asperger but he's still pretty fucking smart 2. cartoons are meant for everyone regardless of age 3. He gives valid points and describes what's wrong with each video. 4. he's not all negative, he does admirable animations as well.
This is why Flanders' Ladder should be an atrocity video for making everyone (especially Lisa) more evil except for Bart. Not only is it unfunny and unwatchable for any show to turn relatively normal characters into villainous monsters, it's just boring to watch when they turn everyone into THE SAME character! Because then anti-hero people like Quagmire and Brian become hard to distinguish from actual villains like Jeffrey Fecalman and Frollo. June 7, 2019, 12:54am
AND THE WORSTEST PART IS THAT AN INFANT WAS GIVEN A BLWJOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ALRIGHT, BRENDAN BARNEY!!!!!!! PLEASE DO BB RANTS: MODERN FAMILY GUY!!!!!!! XO
SRRN don't like your own comment. And to answer the question, it's because they love to use shock humor as a substitute for actual humor or content. Trust me, in an episode with infant cunnilingus a suicide joke is the least of family guy's problems
Dang it. I loved Brian when i watched family guy during its first few seasons. He was the voice of reason. You know...THE THING YOU NEED IN A PROPER COMEDY. Now he is a asshole uncaring and incredibly arrogant...Brian didnt deserve all this horrible writing and episodes he was forced through.
Same here, he could have been my favorite character if it weren't for the later seasons that turned him into a douche bag mouthpiece of Seth MacFarlane people love to hate.
I think Rick and Morty and South Park work with having some deeper themes because they always remember to have some grounding in reality. Family Guy, at least the later episodes, has just kind of went off to pure insanity.
Funny how the show about interdimensional travel, and the show that has talking poop and the world ending on multiple occasions are more grounded in reality than this show. XD
they cant do heartwarming for a few reasons: 1. family guy is really only driven on its jokes and always has. the plots have always really just been methods to enact new jokes/situations. making an episode based on an actual plot requires you to be primed to take things seriously. 2. the jokes are quite often dark anyway so dark situations cant be taken seriously. meg's entire character for instance is being constantly abused. every character's pain and suffering from the get go is primed for being another joke. 3. a show like rick and morty can be dark but its based more so on absurdity. the characters can be assholes but they are characters. family guy characters are only barely characters. they have about as much depth as that priest and rabbi that walk into a bar.
neko mata Then why do they do plots like screams of silence? If they’re joke driven, they need to stay away from mature topics unless they are willing to handle it maturely.
I'm reminded of the Bojack Horseman episode that tackled pretty much the same issue. Of course, that one ended with the moral "If someone absolutely never comes through for you or changes their ways for you, no matter how many second chances you give them, then fuck 'em. Even if it's your own family." Diane gives her family another chance after a lifetime of abuse, thinking that the death of their father would make them more grateful for the family they still have. But they don't change; they're as awful as ever. At the end she decides not to forgive her family and leave them behind for good. Her life becomes better for having done this. Fuck Bojack is so good And Family Guy is so bad Fuck
kristian rikardsen The "SJW feminist" part isn't a problem with the show and rather just that you don't agree with the stance of the show on certain issues, the animation really ain't that bad or cheap but i guess it's made not to be too apealing. And bestiality isn't that big of an issue when the animals are pretty much humans.
(Trigger warning) Id like to say not all people cut for attention or to kill themselves. I personally have done it. Its a means of escape or release from a variety of issues that the person is facing, like depression as mr. Enter said, which is why the demographic of 14yr olds is so prone to self harm. The peter and the knife joke just urks me to such an unbearable degree that i had to vent about it
@@jeltje50 No, it's not, it's like saying, "kid's shows don't need quality, cuz kids are dumb", it's horrible excuse, and it needs, to stop being used, forever!!!!
Brian and Stewie had great episodes together, such as the one where they search for Brian's mother! Oh, and I personally Love the Brian episode with Pearl, the old woman secluded in her own house, that was kinda touching!
On the one hand that could explain why I like American Dad more, but on the other hand it still doesn't make it any more excusable as to why Seth MacFarlane allows such mediocre and mean-spirited writing to pass under his watch as executive producer, and voice actor to multiple key characters. He has no excuse for that.
The one good thing I can say about Quagmire is that he actually told Brian to his face a long list of reasons why he's a terrible person. And they were all reasons that *a lot* of people hate Brian so much
The weirdest part about that Joe Pesci joke is that it makes no sense. Joe Pesci was in Home Alone which most people watch during Christmas so them saying that he's someone most people won't know just doesn't make sense.
StaticShock42 It's even worse when you realize that the majority of society still like those 2 pieces of shit more than Scrappy Doo combined. At least Scrappy cared for his family, Brian and Patrick are despicable (at least Spongebob's getting better though).
I disagree, Patrick has gotten way better. Like in Spongebob recent episode where Mr. Krabs sold frozen patties. Actually, Spongebob did what Family Guy needs to do, just bring back the original characters' personality. It made Spongebob so much better to watch.
This is off topic, but did they even watch the stabbing scene from Saving Private Ryan? The German soldier was crying because he had to kill someone to survive. He wasn't just jeering at the camera.
As someone with a father like Brian, I can tell you that this episode struck me on a very personal level - and, this was not a good thing. I had never been so infuriated by anything in my life, and was definitely looking forward to hearing you give this turd the thrashing that it deserved. You did not disappoint. Great job, man.
I'm sorry ... I came off as rude in a previous reply. Allow me to explain, I understand that the job of a comedian is to subvert people's expectations and use shock value as a tool for humor. I should point out that I find the work of Louie CK and Chris Rock to be absolutely brilliant at times. In it's earlier years, I really enjoyed Family Guy and had a lot of respect for Seth McFarland. I'm also physically disabled - a demographic that was - and still is - repeatedly poked at in the show in an effort to get laughs. Did I find these jokes funny? Not really. Was I a little insulted? Sure. But, I understood the point of including these elements - to entertain, to get laughs. If a comedian hasn't offended someone in their career at least once, then in my opinion - they haven't done their job. But, when Family Guy preaches it isn't trying to shock or subvert anymore, it isn't trying to be 'edgy' or funny or get laughs - it's trying to discuss a serious topic in a serious way with its audience - and, when the writers of the show have no experience with/ knowledge about a particular issue and try to add its two cents - it just comes off as idiotic, dangerous and really kind of painful to audience members that may be dealing with these issues. Let me put it this way, if Family Guy were a person - a psychiatrist tasked with helping preserve the mental well being of those in need, it would've had its license revoked a long time ago.
Turquoise Cheetah I agree. But, there's a difference between a joke in poor taste, and an attempt to deliver a serious message being done poorly. South Park, as you pointed out, has a healthy balance of humor and serious commentary. Matt Stone and Trey Parker create satire so well because in regard to the issues, they're actually aware of their own views, certain implications, and they know what in Sam fuck they're talking about unlike the writers of Family Guy. Did this episode anger me? Yes. Did the world stop turning because of a botched moral? Not at all. But, just as you have a right to be offended by a shitty portrayal of a rapist or rape victim on some made for TV movie, I have a right to be offended by this episode. Why? Two reasons. One: I thinks it has knowledge that it clearly doesn't, and wants to be taken seriously. And Two (the much more egregious offense): It stated, point blank in this very episode, that it knows it appeals to fourteen year olds. As Enter pointed out - impressionable kids. If I can watch this as an adult and feel hurt by its backward attempt at a moral, I can only imagine how they must feel watching it. My main point was, there is a difference between something perverse done for laughs because the intent is merely to entertain. When something is done poorly to influence opinion, provide commentary, or give advice to an impressionable or afflicted audience that's when a problem occurs, that's where a line is drawn. There's no saving the show at this point in terms of comedic value or elsewhere - but, all anyone is asking is that it just sticks to the idiotic humor and leaves real world commentary to people who are smart/experienced enough to write it.
Turquoise Cheetah if you actually believe people shouldn't be mad at this episode despite having every right to be offended when they go through a similar situation then you really are pathetic
I am sincerely sorry you had to go through such a traumatic experience. I can't begin to understand the ways you've been hurt by the actions of such a monster. And, I hope you'll understand the sincerity I mean to convey when I say that I'm sorry this discussion got so out-of-hand. I honestly hadn't meant to start an argument or to hurt you an anyway. All the best to you. I know it doesn't mean much, but I took the liberty of liking a few of your comments. Have a good night.
It's sad that many Brian and Stewie episodes are some of my favourites in Family Guy, But dude, what a prick Brian Griffin is. I swear, he didn't use to be this bad. And the worst thing is... Brian apparently is Seth MacFarlane's favourite character. It's his actual voice after all.
I HATE any kind of lesson that results in "Oh he is your father/mother, it doesn't matter if they DECIDED to abandon you, abuse you, take advantage of you in every possible way. You should love them! Does it make you miserable? Is it harmful to you? Are you conflicted by the pain and sorrow they bring into your life everytime they show up? Fuck that, you don't want them to be sad!" Fuck that, if you are in a situation were someone is harming you, abusing you, who is in a bad influence or just makes your life worse, CUT THEM OFF. Don't be ashamed to take care of yourself, don't care about what they feel, it's clear they don't care about you if they do that in the first place.
The wrist slitting joke is even worse than just telling kids how to self harm. In 10th grade, there was this group of kids who were talking about how kids that struggle with self harm are just attention whores because "like they said on Family Guy, across for attention!" Mind you, these kids were saying this stuff about other students. This joke gave them "proof" that their reason for gossiping and bullying was legitimate and promoted the idea that self harm isn't a real problem.
It was just a joke. Listen I hate family guy but it shouldn't be the TV's fault that they misinterpreted a joke. I know many people at my school who say it for attention
TheNumberedAgent2 The people who choose that are already emotionally vulnerable, often bullied and coming from a bad home, and in an age when they are pretty impressionable. There is a reason we do not try 14 years olds as adults for crimes, damnit, blame their parents, blame their school, but its more complex than them being "idiots", and Family Guy only makes stuff worse in an attempt to be edgy. Sure, you didn't do it, but depression isn't the only factor that cause one to do that. In fact, lack of attention - which, despite what idiots on the internet would have you think, is a real problem especially for teenagers, and desperate cries for attention is not attention whoring, but a sign of neglect- is more likely to cause self harm than genuine depression (which will probably make you want a painless suicide or nothing, most of the time). Most of the people who self cut have no real friends and a neglectful or abusive family , plus teachers who just do not care, and Family Guy is actively making their life more miserable by shoving this joke on their impresionable asses.
Well those people are assholes. I know friends who are suicidal and are or have cut and not just on there wrist. If they think all people who cut are fricken atteintion whores I question how would they react if they had a friend or family member that did cut, hid it, and was suicidal.
It's stupid. Cutting isn't about suicide or attention or 'results'. Self harm is mostly, if not solely, about self-punishment due to some sad idea that they've somehow done wrong by existing, brought on by bullying. They don't feel they deserve comfort, that the bullying is somehow their own fault, and so they cause themselves pain to 'punish themselves'. It's really sad and the fact Family Guy doesn't know this is disgusting.
Spongebob got cancelled in 2039, due to the show getting some controversy about making an episode of Plankton going on a columbine attack on the krusty krab. Teen Titans Go is on it's 35 season, their most recent episode was about Robin and Cyborg getting cancer from Starfire, and they treated it as an emotional episode.
PPG reboot was cancelled in 2052 when they made a character resembling Anita Sarkeesian's daughter, Tan, and it got so much heat on Tumblr (Yes, it still exists.) The PC phase was finally over in 2043 when a few men told them they''d stop their sexist ways if the PC police would shut up. They've finally made peace with each other. And for the record, Alex Jones was thrown in jail 3 months ago.
Maybe this time, FOX will actually watch the video and take these criticisms to heart and write better content instead of just taking it down. Ah, who am I kidding?
I think it's pretty telling of the show's writing as a whole that, from what I can see, Seth McFarlane uses Brian more than any other character to express his own worldviews and opinions. And considering he's arguably the most detestable character IN the show... that probably says something about the entire show's motivations and focus.
That was exactly how Seth used Brian in the earlier episodes. And that used to work. The problem is that now he has stopped being involved in creating the show and and only does the voices. And the writers now have no idea how to write for him and its so easy to just make him an asshole. The show has no idea what it’s doing any more and it’s kinda sad tbh
As dead as a franchise the Simpsons is they are actually funny they have legit heartwarming moments and unlike Peter griffin Homer Simpson actually cares about his family you get that from episodes like hell toupee, the episode where marge had a gambling problem and the episode where Lisa was hanging with ballet dancers who where smoking even the movie did this right now I'm not saying the Simpsons should keep going it does need to be put to rest and it might considering Matt groening will be working on a new Netflix show but I doubt it since fox wants to keep it going but the bottom line is the people behind the Simpsons aim to entertain their audience yet I don't know what the people behind family guy are doing with this show
I’m pretty sure that Disney’s acquisition of Fox’s TV and movie properties is gonna lead to “Family Guy” and “The Simpsons” both being cancelled. (I mean, I’m sure Bob Iger will let them have the rest of the season, but anything’s possible.)
Bruh, fucking write a sentence with stops. How would you like it if I went on and didnt ever stop it would be kind of annoying if you read it wrong wouldn't it be more clear if you wish to send a message and right there I intentionally wrote a sentence that can combine to the previous one in two different ways so you get how confusing that is.
ThatAlessandroKid I fully expect scumbag MacFarlane to steal all complaints from this and shit them out into a full season of garbage, only to then turn around and say Mr.Enter stole their ideas, and slap him not only with a DMCA, and a lawsuit for slander
+Sharkcaster wood I know, right? Short clips of episodes uploaded by accounts named after FG characters doesn't get a beating and yet a review like this criticizing the show does? Logic, ladies and gentlemen...
I won't be surprised if future episodes will have the characters breaking the fourth wall by asking the viewers. "Are you offended yet?" every so often.
Personally. I say the exact moment Brian became a hate-worthy character was "Not All Dogs Go To Heaven " back in Season 7. It's been a downward slope ever since.
+JGB Creations-Actually to me, looking back, it was Love, Blacktually (and the title is cringeworthy enough to indicate what kind of episode it is.) Same season mind you, but it was in this episode where Brian came out as an atheist (because Seth MacFarland "coincidentally" is an atheist too. . .Who would've thought) when. . .it was never established Brian veered into an theoretical/philosophical/religious territory before. He falls in love with a woman he barely knows, a woman who CLEARLY isn't interested in him anymore, even cheated on him, but he can't take a hint and is outright stalkerish with wanting to get back together with her. . .despite that she cheated on him. And he's willing to manipulate a supposedly good friend with getting back together with his ex wife who cheated on him so he could score with the woman who cheated on him. Screw you. You can even argue Brian became unlikable all the way back in Play It Again Brian where he takes YET another pass at Lois, despite before, being smart enough to realize Lois is married and they won't ever be able to work out but Love, Blacktually was where I noticed something was truly wrong. (Basically, the recurring storyline that Brian was "unlucky in love" and fell in love with the wrong women-blah blah blah-was tired at best.) But Not All Dogs Go to Heaven was REALLY where Brian fell into being a vindictive ass. He took it WAY too far. To be fair, Meg took it way too far when she became an evangelist (because subtlety? What's that-asks Family Guy writers) but his problems always stemmed not particularly because Meg was taking too far, but because she believed in a religion HE didn't agree with. That was all it took. Because how dare someone believe in something you don't? They are mindless sheep that must be publicly flogged for being the idiots are? Naturally, that's exactly what Brian does and even goes so far as to be truly mean and vindictive as to say there can't be a God because Meg is ugly and her family is mean to her. Like, literally, what the. . .actual fuck? And Brian completely tears down Meg and shatters her belief, knowing her family verbally and physically abuses her, that there is someone out there that does truly love her. Even if it's God, WHY would you take that away from anyone? How evil do you have to be not only to tear down someone else's religious beliefs that don't align with yours but to even tell that person God, a benevolent, merciful being that loves you, that you hope someone CAN love you at all, can't and doesn't exist? That. . .that is just plain UGLY.
There is a point where Brian and Stewie go from opposites and opposed to each other, to agreeing with each other and commandeering a tank to destroy a Walmart. That's the beginning of Brian's downfall. Also, I've experienced people literally saying to my face that they think religion is crazy, or stupid, to my face. Or going "but your religion defended child molesters!", or "but the crusades/inquisition!", or "But you're a bigot because religion bad!". Okay, that last one is more of paraphrasing of more general views that come through the mainstream news. The rest? All pretty much quoting people. So... yeah. As much as people complain about "getting religion shoved in their face"... I get to deal with people calling me and my faith stupid, crazy, and focusing on the absolute worst moments of the Christian Church, while ignoring the message behind the religion, AND ignoring the good done by the religious over the centuries. Stories like catholic priests who put their lives on the line to smuggle Jews out of nazi occupied territory, or who spend years on Missions helping people, putting their own lives aside for their Mission, and so many more examples.
The discussion of how kids (or minors in general) are treated in relation to adults in the plot... really hit home. Keep fighting the good fight, Enter!
I want to see an it’s a wishful life parody, but with Peter as Timmy, so that he can see how him not being alive, makes everyone in the entire world better by infinity, that’d be the best episode of the show.
it's funny, my biological other half whom I hesitate to call a father tried to come into my life 20 years later in my life. he's an ass. He's extremely racist, he's extremely xenophobic, hypocritical (I mean he once made a post calling out women who leave their children to their dads and never coming back when he literally did that to mom and I), homophobic (I never told him that I am dating another girl for that reason), and believes in all the political conspiracies. And he's illiterate as heck. The only reason mom liked him back in the day was because he was cute. Fair enough. and yet, I gave him a chance to redeem himself despite having a step-dad who I consider my real father now. I got angry at his oh so wrong it hurts political posts (he was the type who'd believe The Onion's articles and call your legitimate sources fake) but never commented on them. If I did, it'd be pointless. But he got into an argument with mom. I told that I was on her side and agreed with her. He called me closed-minded and "take off the rose colored glasses". He called my cousin, who has a PhD, a moron and blamed her for his calling her a moron after I called him out. "if she didn't wanna be called that, she shouldn't have made her post". No, she was trying to correct you, you ass... After he tried to assure me that he doesn't have anger issues, I told him "You know who does? I do. I have serious anger issues! but I don't go out blaming my anger out on other people. Maybe if you didn't wanna be called out, you shouldn't have made your comments!" He blocked me the next day. But he was right, I was wearing the rose colored glasses. Not because of politics, but because I thought he was going to be a better person. I'm sorry about that, this episode of "He's your father, would you rather not take any risks at all?" message infuriates me. because I tried. For those with all the Brians out in the world, if they don't care about you, they're not worth your time. Be better than them, be strong because there are people out there who are willing to help. Stay strong and I hope you can escape them. I'm lucky this was just a Facebook fight. Not everyone has that luxury.
I think we need more messages like the movie, Matilda, where they basically say that just because someone's your parent doesn't mean you have to like them.
Christian Blaise Thank god for that, because most of the reboots of past cartoons have been such a dissapointment lately, I was afraid they'd do with Samurai Jack what they did to Power Puff Girls. There's only SO much abuse my childhood can take.
+Sm4shifyer could someone at least explain to why people still think Failure Guy is a good show to where you see them posting a truck load of videos all over RUclips for Heaven's sake (I really do wish that I would stop seeing so many post Failure Guy moments! all over RUclips, as I really do not want to watch Failure Guy, at all, and I really wish this horrible garbage would just die already)!
I miss old Brian. My favorite episode is when he has difficulty finding love ,drinking and driving, and has to take care of that grumpy old woman. He was most relatable in that episode.
I want to add another layer to how AWFUL the cutting "joke" is in this episode. They specifically say "horizontal for ATTENTION." This is adding to the stupid mentality that if someone is self-harming, they're doing it for attention so people will feel sorry for them. If someone who actually self-harms hears this, they may start to believe they're only doing it for attention and feel WORSE because of it. The "joke" is harmful and it makes me disgusted hearing it. Also, thanks Mr. Enter. I had actually heard this "joke" before but washed it out of my brain. Damn this show for not letting me forget about it.
I used to cut. I'll be 30 next month, and the last time I did it was within this past year, so it wasn't just me being an "emotional teenage drama queen." I actually have major depressive disorder and anxiety issues, and those together are a nightmare sometimes (since at their worst, the former makes you numb to everything, and the latter makes you a nervous wreck afraid of everything that could possibly go wrong ever). The reason I cut was purely as a learned coping mechanism. I went through times when I was feeling so much...shittiness inside my psyche that I just needed something to distract myself from it. Physical pain, even in its smallest amount, helped with that, which is why I started cutting. I managed to unlearn it (and took up other coping skills, like deep breathing and drawing on my arms with Sharpies instead of cutting), but I really can't stand "jokes" like that. As a teenager, I was often accused of faking my depression symptoms for attention, and I honestly think I didn't get the most help I needed because of it.
Isn't the whole "stupid teens for attention" thing in the first place just a ridiculous excuse? Like... the world makes itself so shitty that an entire generation of people tend toward self-harm (as well as people outside of that generation doing so too, but having been around for longer and having more typical independance than teens probably knowing how to hide it better... therefore teens get the focus), and its reaction isn't "holy fuck we've gone so seriously off course we're actually dieing from it... we need to fix this NOW" like it should be... instead its reaction is "pff... people, amirite?" like an asshole. Like... if someone were to be actually cutting for attention, then... well, why ARE they seeking attention? There's a reason behind the craving of attention, even in that. Why be dismissive toward it? Why laugh it off? That's the opposite of what needs to happen. Why are people so fragile that they can't deal with the idea of the other person 'winning' by getting that attention? Maybe they need that attention. What's wrong with that? I know it's not typically true in the first place, I'm just saying what a disgusting reaction to default to, even if it were true.
Here's another thing disgusting on the cutting joke. When Meg of all people tells Peter the way for self cutting properly, the episode makes it like you need to cut yourself in a certain way to gain attention. I'm pretty sure if people saw you with BLEEDING WRISTS THEY'D PAY YOU ATTEMTION WITH CONCERN FOR YOUR MENTAL STATE! Btw episode, Peter is not getting sympathy for purposefully shooting Quagmire, THINK! Plus why have Meg of all people tell Peter that? Hadn't she suffered enough already?
Jam Jam i don't even remember why i commented that other than to correct grammar BUT EITHER WAY GRAMMAR IS IMPORTANT seriously though i'm really confused right now...
6:45 - ...you know, Brian's bad idea there gives me an idea that might actually be workable. Brian is most likely just being "lol racism". But screw him and his intentions, and imagine the *consequences* of someone hiring a ghostwriter whose works eventually turn out to be more and more abhorrent. That person would probably have their career irreparably torn apart. And attempting to solve it by revealing that he HAS a ghostwriter at that moment would likely be treated as an excuse to pass the blame and just make things worse, among other issues. The abhorrent ghostwriter wouldn't be the central focus or a source of comedy. It would be the antagonist.
Wasn't there a Steven Universe episode with a simular plot with sour cream? Though I guess that worked because sour cream's dad was thrown out of town and lost 10 million dollars.
ghost shark legs I actually really liked that episode; Sour Cream realized that he had been used, called out Marty on his bullshit, and we even got to see a sweet moment with Sour Cream and Yellowtail. Seriously Marty, and you wonder why Greg Universe wanted nothing to do with your selfish ass
What would've made that entire "Oh, my son's in a sitcom" thing good is if Brian did something along the lines of "Oh shit! How did I forget about him!" [Runs and grabs a suitcase and proceeds to sprint out the door, maybe running into it or pushing instead of pulling for comedic affect
To be totally honest with everyone, I find Brian's pretentiousness just a huge mask that he puts on to cover up emotional and possibly mental sadness he has experienced in his life. I remember when Brian was in therapy in earlier seasons and his therapist says "I think you're very sensitive, but you put up a tough front. I think you're in pain." It's no excuse of course but that's just my two cents on who Brian is as a character. I'm open to friendly discussions if anyone wants to reply :D Have a wonderful day everyone.
Christina LovesMJ4ever See, I _would_ say that I agree with you, but the fact that every other aspect of this show has gone to hell shows me that Brian's degradation was/is entirely unintentional. The writers just don't know how to write.
It's probably more of an issue with Seth Macfarlane himself. In all honesty, I find this guy to be _completely_ psychologically unstable. On his shows, he mocks much of SJW culture and yet he drops all of that when he actually gets to discuss politics. It's like he can't decide what his agenda should even be, like he's still stuck in his early twenties when most guys get their political and social views more or less established and stop changing them the minute they stop being cool.
That would imply that Brian is written logically, as a character that evolves and has some type of arc. I think you're giving the Family Guy writers WAY too much credit in your assumption alone. There is nothing to be taken seriously or to read into. It's one dimensional, and about as shallow as the gene pool of southwestern Pennsylvania.
the sad part is if this ep of family guy came out now brian would be a realistic representation of writers and employees from disney and their subsidiaries.
Also, because Seth McFarlane himself is on record for saying that he wants _Family Guy_ to end, I don't see this episode as malicious. Instead, I see it as a cry for help; "Please stop watching this show! Please just let it end so we can move on to something else!"
You know what's funny. I hate Family Guy, but I love American Dad. It's so much more real than it's conturpart and the characters actually like each other and learn from their mistakes. Plus i'd take Roger other Brian anyday.
@JamesMcFarland: I honestly thought that was a lame excuse. Mostly because...the people who write American Dad seem to think that there's no gray area between being nice and being a sociopathic sadist. I'm sure Roger could just be rude and bitchy without being so extra and he'd survive (it comes to the point wherein I actually wonder why the Smiths keep him around).
You know what i like about you enter? You care about the animation medium , you care about it's influences , & you care about the impact it has on the audience. As such you devote your time & effort into your reviews to show what is bad in these episodes even going as far as making your reviews longer than the original content in which you're reviewing. That's what i like about you mr enter. Thank you.
I like him cause seeing sperg out like a fucking idiot makes me feel happy. The fact that i'm not as big a loser as he is the best feeling in the world
I honestly don't get the hate on Enter. He speaks the truth, mate. Family Guy is just shit at this point. It wasn't even anything special when it started, but now... NOW.... holy shit now.... It has just become intolerable. All the characters hate each other, and when the writers decide we need more sympathy towards them, they make episodes like Life Of Brian, where characters that have been neglectful, abusive, or just plain wrathful towards each other come together in a "emotional" moment and mourn their dog's death. Okay, that could actually come across as emotional, if they weren't still complete assholes to each other! The Griffin family just shrugs off this life-changing moment and CONTINUE HATING EACH OTHER. If that wasn't enough for ya though, Brian was revived. Wow. Way to solidify the fact that Life Of Brian was only for ratings. Jesus. Rant over.
And if you're saying that it's a comedy show... whoa ho ho have you got it twisted. Firstly, most of the humor is from cut-away gags. Not to say that cut-away gags are completely unfunny, hell no. The Critic used them masterfully. Family guy, however, uses them when they write themselves into a corner and can't tell any good jokes. They disrupt the plot there, because they have no relation to what is happening and basically are just brought up out of nowhere with no relevance to the situation at hand. Secondly, the animation in the normal jokes is completely lazy. The characters quickly flash between movements in Family Guy, and most of the time, the only movement is with the mouths, making the animators closer to that paycheck by having to do less work.
Nylocke Dragon of the Cold Steel That's something that annoys me. When someone still gets flack for something that they did in the past, even though they've improved since then.
Troin Glad you agree. Hell I met one person who said Enter was an asshole for what he did back in the day, I told her how he apologized and improved and said she didn't care and still called him an asshole, AFTER she said she was glad he apologized
Oh god here we go again. Another Family Guy episode. It's such a shame how this show fell from such grace. Used to be great until they decided to try too hard to be shocking and offensive.
That is not the direct reason Family Guy is what it is today. The show would have been cancelled all the way back in 2007 or so, give or take, however people wanted more, so Fox brought it back, twice! It was around this point that MacFarlane probably realized he could probably literally live off the show for the rest of his career. So, in essence it is as much the audiences fault, if not more, that the creators and/or the producers that the life of generally any content goes on past its prime and still go on with little to nothing produced after its prime to be enjoyable in the long run. People showed those in charge the content makes them profitable and why would any sane person kill a goose that lays golden eggs.
Trq 21 Well said. Those are just my problems with modern Family Guy. Of the things I stated. The very last episode I saw was when Stewie got pregnant and then I said "That's it. I'm done. I quit." and never watched any more new episodes. That way just too much, man.
Trq 21 Good points, but just a minor correction: I thought the first time Family Guy was cancelled was in 2002, then revived in 2004, while the second time was 2007, no?
as a man who, in his (at the time of writing this) 20's, who spent most of his life not knowing his own father until a year ago, having a tearful reunion and learning how he has grown since the mistake he made that got me seperated from him AND his side of the family (long story. ) this episode makes me RETCH. my father, while making mistakes, still loved me and my siblings enough to GROW from his mistake, and spent YEARS piecing himself back together in the vague PROMISE of seeing his kids again that, through his actions, forced him to seperate from them. brian, you are no father. you dont actually care enough about your son to learn from your mistake.
The "joke" about cutting really got to me. When I first saw this episode, I was in a really bad place with my depression. I had tried committing suicide multiple times, and now I knew a way to try it again hopefully with results. Even now as I'm recovering and it seems as if I'm not suicidal anymore (thanks to medicine and therapy), I still have this knowledge, this way to know how to end it all. I would be fine with this being in an episode of a TV show if it were about someone who was seriously trying to kill themselves, but was given the support they needed and all that. If it wasn't treated like a joke. Family Guy is my motivation to make an adult cartoon. I want to right the wrongs it made. I want to have characters that have heart, that genuinely care for one another, despite their faults. Humans are flawed, which is what makes us human, but what else makes us human is our ability to care for and love one another, to feel sympathy and empathy, and to realize when a joke can seriously damage an impressionable teenager who's already trying to kill himself and now you've given him another way to do it.
Turquoise Cheetah this may come off as a bit of a surprise but not everyone is...you. some people are emotionally unstable teenagers. and teenagers arent really known to make the best long term decisions. id also like to take thisbmoment to state how impressive it is that you missed the point of both the critique and this persons comment.
Turquoise Cheetah And someone having a different opinion than your own triggered you. Telling someone to get over something that has impacted their life, while making a fuss over their personal viewpoint that has no impact on your life. That's some high quality irony right there.
To quote Phantomstrider on the suicide 'joke', "Swearing isn't okay, but teaching 12 year olds how to slit their wrists is acceptable?" Glad to see it cut, because I hate it.
@@masterseal0418 I can vouch for that. I saw the individual clip of this and people were saying this was "funny." EDIT: It really isn't funny... Especially since I KNOW people who have experienced suicidal thoughts.
Yeah, not only does it hit close to home for a lot of people like us, but people will invalidate our discomfort and say "why so offended?" Like, they should know why.@@The11deano
You know what's kinda ironic. Stewie the person that wanted to dominate the world is now one of the nicest characters in the series while nearly everyone else is unredeemable.
_SylvesterSan_ I know right
_SylvesterSan_ And yet, he's still more likable than everyone else
Why don't we end the show right now with Stewie finally taking over the world, and ironically making it a Utopian Society.
I liked evil Stewie. He was really funny and exciting to watch, but now he's just whiny and bring... Like the show!
They made a dog unlikeable. That is truly a feat of bad writing.
tiggle5485 Well, Scrappy Doo exists...
TheUndeadGamer Scrappy is more bearable than Brian since he's a puppy
And they overexaggerate his annoyance factor. Seriously people have really thin skins.
TheUndeadGamer At least Scrappy Doo looks after his family. Oh, SICK BURNS, BRIAN GRIFFIN! XD
tiggle5485 That's because he's a bad father.
You know, describing Brian Griffin as a sociopath made me realize something...
Bojack Horseman is Brian Griffin done right.
Lessee... drunk, check. Delusions of grandeur, check. Terrible person, check. Self-centered, check. Child born out of wedlock... well, there's another season on the way.

Technically this is his second chance since he never left him as a baby. in the episode dylans introduced in its stated brian didnt even know he existed until he tracked down dylans mom to rekindle the flame from their quick romance they had before dylan was born.

That profile pic is a fitting reaction.
Yeah. That's pretty much the kind of thing I picked it for. :)
"Is taking a risk better than not having a Dad?"
Fuck no, I'm in that position myself, left my father because of all the times he made false promises and didn't hold up his end of parental deals. What the fuck no wonder I stopped watching this show.
Thank you for bringing light to it Enter.
Wow that sucks
*hugs*
The reason rick and Morty and South Park can do heartwarming moments is because the character who is trying to do the heartwarming moment is likable.
Likeable characters? On Southpark of all shows? Southpark is no holds barred. Everybody on that show is an absolute dick, even more so than Family guy, and unlike on family guy, nobody tries to hide it. Lolol.
HeavyDonkeyKong butters is what I was referring to.
Well you know except Butters. Ya know the character that is hand craftily designed to be a victim and sole purpose is to get shit on by everyone.
Even Butters spent some time as an asshole back when he had his Professor Chaos alter ego.
Not as much lately. He's had some episodes where he was allowed to come out on top like "Going Native".
Let's face it; If Peter Griffin was a real person,he'd have been arrested or killed due to his own stupidity
To summarize this I'll use a Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 quote "He may of been your father, but he wasn't your daddy" -Yondu

Great. Now I'm crying.
STOP REMINDING ME OF YONDUUUUUUU

I have a better title for this episode. Brian's a bad Character.
Lew he was ok in the earlier seasons.
I have a better title Enters is a bad reviewer , this shit is repetitive as fuck give up your career
How about “Seth McFarland is a bad creator”
Brian’s a bad person.
Yep. Family Guy's "dark comedy" is basically:
Peter: "Rape!"
Lois: "Rape?"
Brian: *nods* "Rape."
*cutaway in which someone gets raped*
*Lois rapes Peter again*
Meg: "I got raped!"
Entire family: No one cares, Meg!
And disgusting. And unfunny.
Plus in comedy, sometimes you need to put a limit on what you can do. Family Guy just learn to tone down the killings
You know how this episode would be so much better?
*Brain texting on the couch when his phone instead plays a jingle. He taps the screen and answers.*

Brian: "Dylan? Why are you calling?"

Brian: "Yeah, I try to keep our interactions private; it's the closest thing we can get to some father-son time."
*time passes*
Brian: *texts* You never told me that you were going to be on a sitcom!
Dylan: Do you ever listen to your voicemails?
*quick harmless cutaway to Brain clearing his voicemail cache*
Brian: *texts* ... Oops.
*cut interaction with Brian and Dylan*
*and then proceed with the episode as normal, Dylan also ratting Brian out for being alcoholic, overzealous and BRIAN.*
This. This would show Brian as a responsible parent, give an explanation as to why we haven't heard from him for a good while, and actually give Brian some humility; something he NEEDS.
And there's no salvaging Peter's arc, just extend Brian's storyline to cover 22 minutes.

Completely agree.

As you can see Brian is a sociopath and he doesn't understand empathy or see any reason on having one.

How is Brian still an atheist if he's met Jesus multiple times?

Because Brian is simply ignorant.
@Red Coin I think it's just a continuity issue. I mean he met the son of god, asked him to prove it through performing miracles and watched him perform miracles.
If I had to guess just because jesus real dosent mean the Religion is true I mean the book was written by man

Everybody on Family Guy is becoming more evil exept for Stewie Griffin... You know... The character who was SUPPOST to be a villan...
XD

they cant do heartwarming for a few reasons:
1. family guy is really only driven on its jokes and always has. the plots have always really just been methods to enact new jokes/situations. making an episode based on an actual plot requires you to be primed to take things seriously.
2. the jokes are quite often dark anyway so dark situations cant be taken seriously. meg's entire character for instance is being constantly abused. every character's pain and suffering from the get go is primed for being another joke.
3. a show like rick and morty can be dark but its based more so on absurdity. the characters can be assholes but they are characters. family guy characters are only barely characters. they have about as much depth as that priest and rabbi that walk into a bar.
That's some good analyze you did there. I hope Mr. Enter reads this.

KTChamberlain Seth works on american dad more now
On the one hand that could explain why I like American Dad more, but on the other hand it still doesn't make it any more excusable as to why Seth MacFarlane allows such mediocre and mean-spirited writing to pass under his watch as executive producer, and voice actor to multiple key characters. He has no excuse for that.
KTChamberlain If I remember correctly, even Seth wants Family Guy to end.

I had never been so infuriated by anything in my life, and was definitely looking forward to hearing you give this turd the thrashing that it deserved. You did not disappoint. Great job, man.
Turquoise Cheetah Then it should avoid trying to discuss serious issues, and learn how to tell a decent joke.

Does it make you miserable? Is it harmful to you? Are you conflicted by the pain and sorrow they bring into your life everytime they show up? Fuck that, you don't want them to be sad!"
Fuck that, if you are in a situation were someone is harming you, abusing you, who is in a bad influence or just makes your life worse, CUT THEM OFF. Don't be ashamed to take care of yourself, don't care about what they feel, it's clear they don't care about you if they do that in the first place.
The wrist slitting joke is even worse than just telling kids how to self harm. In 10th grade, there was this group of kids who were talking about how kids that struggle with self harm are just attention whores because "like they said on Family Guy, across for attention!"
Mind you, these kids were saying this stuff about other students.
TheNumberedAgent2
The people who choose that are already emotionally vulnerable, often bullied and coming from a bad home, and in an age when they are pretty impressionable.
Most of the people who self cut have no real friends and a neglectful or abusive family , plus teachers who just do not care, and Family Guy is actively making their life more miserable by shoving this joke on their impresionable asses.
to be honest most 8 year olds now already know this shit

My god were doomed...what season is spongebob and teen titans go on!

Teen Titans Go is on it's 35 season, their most recent episode was about Robin and Cyborg getting cancer from Starfire, and they treated it as an emotional episode.
A Troll Did everyone find out they where living in a tv show. LOL
What about the PPG reboot? And is this embarrassing PC phase over yet?
PPG reboot was cancelled in 2052 when they made a character resembling Anita Sarkeesian's daughter, Tan, and it got so much heat on Tumblr (Yes, it still exists.) The PC phase was finally over in 2043 when a few men told them they''d stop their sexist ways if the PC police would shut up. They've finally made peace with each other.

Personally. I say the exact moment Brian became a hate-worthy character was "Not All Dogs Go To Heaven " back in Season 7.
It's been a downward slope ever since.
JGB Creations I agree
JGB Creations
I give no f**ks about Meg!
After he tried to assure me that he doesn't have anger issues, I told him
"You know who does? I do. I have serious anger issues! but I don't go out blaming my anger out on other people. Maybe if you didn't wanna be called out, you shouldn't have made your comments!"
He blocked me the next day.
Not everyone has that luxury.
maybe he was a writer for modern family guy cause that would explain everything.
Hahaha my biological dad? He spelled Liar as Lier! He probably did!
I think we need more messages like the movie, Matilda, where they basically say that just because someone's your parent doesn't mean you have to like them.
Exactly! I really liked that movie as a kid.
Angel Gonterman that's all the proof we need.
Let's all just look on the bright side: the new Samurai Jack episodes have been FUCKING AWESOME!!!
Christian Blaise well there's a difference between that and family guy, one word: effort.
Christian Blaise Thank god they didn't go PPG 2016.
Christian Blaise Thank god for that, because most of the reboots of past cartoons have been such a dissapointment lately, I was afraid they'd do with Samurai Jack what they did to Power Puff Girls. There's only SO much abuse my childhood can take.
Samurai Jack isn't even like a reboot to me, its a continuation...and it's great. I'm so glad Jack is back.
sour honey I heard it's suppposed to be the final season. After fifity years our favourite samurai will finally rest
Family Guy should be called Failure Guy.
Unlucky he's a Failure Guy!
Unlucky he's a man who, positively can do,
all the things that make us, WANT TO DIE!
He's a Failure Guy!
More like "The Simpdon'ts"

Sm4shifyer American Dud!
I miss old Brian. My favorite episode is when he has difficulty finding love ,drinking and driving, and has to take care of that grumpy old woman. He was most relatable in that episode.
Stop saying “Old Brian”. That triggers me.
I want to add another layer to how AWFUL the cutting "joke" is in this episode.
They specifically say "horizontal for ATTENTION."
This is adding to the stupid mentality that if someone is self-harming, they're doing it for attention so people will feel sorry for them.
+
TheLunaOne uh ... people do that, though ... real talk
if Family Guy never hurt no one, then that means it has always hurt someone
grammar is important, ya dinguses
Ummm it has hurt people.
Jam Jam i don't even remember why i commented that
other than to correct grammar
BUT EITHER WAY GRAMMAR IS IMPORTANT
seriously though i'm really confused right now...
1:50 okay now i remember
and yeah i'm sure Family Guy has indirectly hurt plenty of people
You forgot the capital at the start and the full stop, twice... Grammar is important.
Wouldn't that be "Punctuation is important"?
Baffle Blend
WRITE IT.
Not bad. Try to build on it.
Now THERE'S potential for a Twilight Zone episode.
If Brian is a sociopath, that, in turn makes Seth McFarlane a sociopath as he's arguably his Self-Insert character.
Seth hasn’t been on the writing staff for years. Yes Brian was like Seth in the earlier seasons, but not anymore
Christina LovesMJ4ever that's exactly what narcissists do.
I laugh at Brian being a pretentious jerk.
Please just let it end so we can move on to something else!"
if he wanted it to end, he could just quit stop showing up to recording studios and production meetings.
Ever heard of contractual obligations?
Simple answer: FOX doesn't want to cancel the show after it's been cancelled TWICE.
Family Guy! Please end us right now!
He even sounds tired when he records his voices for the show. If that is true, I can't blame him.
You know what's funny. I hate Family Guy, but I love American Dad. It's so much more real than it's conturpart and the characters actually like each other and learn from their mistakes. Plus i'd take Roger other Brian anyday.
Pls WaLuigi Dom Me Yeah, and if Iremember correctly,Roger HAS to be an asshole, or he dies. Self-preservation is a powerful motivator.
@@PlsWaLuigiDomMe I'm the same. Love American Dad, hate Family Guy too.
@@PhoenixRising87 I agree with the other two guys on this.
Thank you.
This is why people are annoyed of him..
This is a joke, right?
I like him cause seeing sperg out like a fucking idiot makes me feel happy. The fact that i'm not as big a loser as he is the best feeling in the world

or film the scene, at all.
It's wierd that I JUST watched a Family Guy clip and this suddenly came up in my notifications...
strange coincidence dude.
sonic brony universe z Indeed
Yummyjuice16 is back same here!
Yummyjuice16 is back Destiny
I was learning about the toffee crisp vampire.
I have no clue how these things are related.
The characters quickly flash between movements in Family Guy, and most of the time, the only movement is with the mouths, making the animators closer to that paycheck by having to do less work.
midbus does things Probably because his past (EVEN THOUGH HE IMPROVED SO MUCH SINCE THEN) and since people don't understand Aspbergers at all
midbus does things The episode was called "Life of Brian," not "Not All Dogs Go To Heaven."
If Frollo was on this show, the entire town would be burned to the ground XD
Ninja Briefs the Saiyan Family Guy is owned by Disney now so Frollo might actually have a chance of appearing on it.
Ninya / Ninja Brifsanovich the Saiyan I’ll find her even if I have to burn down all of Quahog!
It would be the only time I condoned his actions.
Interesting. You planned for this to be your 67th atrocity. Instead, 134, which is 67 doubled.

DarkVioletCloud I wish you luck
Turquoise Cheetah this may come off as a bit of a surprise but not everyone is...you. some people are emotionally unstable teenagers. and teenagers arent really known to make the best long term decisions.
id also like to take thisbmoment to state how impressive it is that you missed the point of both the critique and this persons comment.
Turquoise Cheetah And someone having a different opinion than your own triggered you. Telling someone to get over something that has impacted their life, while making a fuss over their personal viewpoint that has no impact on your life. That's some high quality irony right there.
The Almigthy Tallest thats actually a bit more reassuring to know, but I still feel like some desperate gonna try anyways...
Adam does youtube so why shouldn't they be held responsible when they were the ones who presented very dangerous writing
