The teacher let him do it as theres nobody in the school that can really do anything. When he took out Badigadi Rudeus demonstrated he was at least as powerful as an army. If they don't talk to Rudeus directly folks seem utterly terrified of him.
Yeah, they called in everyone to handle Badigadi. The triumvirate armies, adventurers including Soldat's entire clan, THE SWORD GOD HIMSELF, and Rudeus took care of the situation on his own.
When Nina (the blue-haired girl) got back with eyewitness testimony, the Sword God got serious blue balls out of it.
Rudeus is essentially a national figure already.

The Anime adapted the ending perfectly. It's actually impressive what details they can tell without any actual dialogue. For example, Norn seeing Paul in Rudeus.
(Norn POV):
"Was it just me, or was he really nervous? That reminded me of my dad too.
“…”
My brother fell silent again. He just sat there quietly, not moving an inch.
He was watching me anxiously, but he didn’t budge from that chair. My dad probably would have wrapped his arms around me by now, and Ruijerd would have patted me on the head. But my brother didn’t even approach me.
“Oh.”
Suddenly, I understood why.
He couldn’t approach me. He was too scared I might reject him.
The instant that thought occurred to me, I felt all my negative emotions begin to melt away. I didn’t hate Rudeus anymore. I couldn’t find him scary either. He was too much like my dad.
He was never going to hit me, no matter what. And he probably wasn’t ever going to hit my dad again either.
“Sniff…”
I needed to forgive him.
I hope you guys watch frieren beyond journeys end after you finish this. It’s very beautiful

I noticed that episode 17 for season 1&2 have been both about family making amends and personal growth. Because season 1 episode 17 was rudeus and paul making amends as well.

2:16 Pretty much because the whole university saw him one-hit KO the demon king Badigadi, which puts Rudy at the very least at emperor-tier, without incantations, easily estabilishing him as the most powerful person in the whole university, city and possibly country. Add that to he being very pissed off, it wouldnt be wise to nag him right now. All those threats he thought about, he can do all that. He can obliterate the whole city if he wants to.
To be fair. You can easily mistake Rudeus' composure as something intimidating without the hearing his inner monologue.
