Please don't complain when you make a video about this radio I love the 220 band of 40 m ban and a 2-meter band and it works really well there's nothing wrong with it at least if I broke it I can buy another one not spending $200 for an HT it's worth every penny it's a great radio and I love it thank you bye
The advertising images on Amazon have the EXIT silk screening spelled correctly, so I don't know.

It also warter proof. I dropped it in a 5-gallon bucket of water I was on a ladder in there at least 30 sec not inside got wet.
That little mistake is nothing but a conversation piece. The radio has been great!

Although I do agree this misspelling is annoying (very much), I am still very impressed by the efforts put in designing "good enough", very affordable radios AND sell them to people all over the world in languages extremely different from Chinese! If I would likely make much worse errors if I was attempting to sell stuff in Asia 🙄

For all of the Baofeng keypad manufacturing department, the EIXT is that way, watch the door don't hit you on the way out :)
Maybe in China EIXT means leave? 🙂 I have an old Baofeng. A friend gave it to me when our mutual friend went SK. Personally I don't like them and only use it to test SWR while playing around with antennas I build outdoors. They're far too cheap and allow anyone to make a nuisance of themselves on the ham bands I had to work hard at to get my ticket back in 1984.

That's hilarious and disappointing at the same time. Over the years, I've noticed that very same misspelling on a number of products from China. Even some instances where it's actually on a product's website spelled incorrectly too! If it was me, I would order another one (or two even) and keep this one back. With the mis-marked key it may be worth a bit more to someone else - or just as a conversation piece for sure. From one Fred to another...carry on.

Programming with CHIRP I get data not expected error? Do you know a fix?
Its normally the cable or cable driver. If you have used the cable before without an issue you can try a different usb / com port. Also double check you have selected the right Baofeng model in Chirp. If all that fails i normally try some of the other listed Baofengs in chirp to see if they will work.
