Yea but she was referring to the position of the disc after it was thrown... it's not like they're just walking in a straight line to the basket from where the disc was thrown.

5:25 he's a bit off centre in that regard. Not that far off though.
WAIT. I think Syd was actually more referring to how centred the disc was as far as the strip of throwing area goes. They would always land pretty centred in that regard. That would make way more sense. So then where they threw it from doesn't matter.
Wait again, no... she said "Brodin, yours landed in a straight line to the goal", and "It's perfectly in line again, a straight line to the goal" (so the throwing position doesn't matter, it's just where the disc is now)... I don't know what this means. Anywhere is a straight line to the goal... fuck I'm confused.

Aren't you supposed to use different discs tho, like a set of golf clubs?
@@TheBacontarian Yes it is a bit cursed to try to play a round with only one disc but I don't think they really cared about any of that lol. Usually you'll have to switch disc constantly to match angles, distance, and wind
I find it funny Syd keeps thinking Brodin perfectly lining it up with the goal and doesn’t realise they are playing in open area and it’s technically always in line
As someone who plays disc golf regularly this was both very fun to watch but also had me desperately wanting to teach them how to throw the disc

Fore!!! BTW, im a big fan of the overhand pizza toss technique for short distance shots. And... im a big fan of the Analog Gaming videos.
If you're gonna do this again you might want to stand behind the thrower to make it easier to follow the disc after the throw, turning 90 degrees right when they throw makes it tough to follow the disc.
I love this so much and it makes me so happy to see people still playing disc golf because my dad used to play it and loved it and has been trying to get our family into it for a long time because he says it's one of his favorite sports other than motocross lol. (Idk I guess for the info I'm a 28f and I just think this is super dope thank you)

Tips from a disc golfer. Fully extend your arm all the way back like you're reaching back behind you to grab something, keep the disc straight across your chest as you throw. Aim down, lower the better. Turn your hips and shoulders. You want both shoulders to turn 90 degrees so you're basically facing away from the basket on your backswing and then turn your hips into the throw on the follow through

Got into disc golf a couple years ago. Love it! Takes some time to get used to, but so satisfying when you hit a good shot.
