I used to, but I'm not in my twenties anymore. My potential has officially been squandered, all hope at happiness is gone, and every day could be my last. Bottom line: I both need HIGNFY to make my weekend worth living, and can't assume I'll live to see A Bit More. 🎵 Dust in the wind, all we are is dust in the wind. 🎵
This was my first time seeing this show and I thought Bill has been hosting this forever. That's how natural he was here. I am a fan of Bill and I just thought I had missed something in his career 😅
Bill Bailey will do that for you 😍 I’ve been working my way through Taskmaster (just finished watching S8), and after managing to tear myself away from the news and news-adjacent media (RUclips and podcasts and the like… not sure if HIGNFY counts as a regression back to news-ish though!), there were a couple of times yesterday and today where I burst into uncontrollable laughter and had to press pause to calm down because I couldn’t actually see anymore 🤣 Medicinal comedy!
This show has to be in the top ten of Greatest HIGNFY episodes ever. Ian & Paul dancing and Bills chair fall was icing on the cake from what was a great show to start with
I'm crying here! One of the best shows for a long time, with the biggest surprise being that the audience managed to clap in time for Bill Bailey's entire bagpipe performance.
Thank you so much for uploading this ! Serious pain in the belly from laughter at the bagpipe scene. I watch it 5 times untill I get every joke. Still polishing my English. Looking forward to the subtitled version. Slowcook entertainment for me. Secretely proud to be Dutch : appointing an average laid back person to hand over your unsaleable stolen masterpieces.

This must rank as one of the best episodes in a long time - I could watch every episode chaired by Bill Bailey, there was so much of his own off script; he's a genuine comic genius.
Why do British politicians things in front of a camera that a Danish, Norwegian, Finnish, Swedish and i believe even a Germany and French politicians never would do?
The bagpipes, along with oboes, bassoons, and brass instruments esp trumpets; are NOT good for your lungs or anything else and masters of those instruments die young. I played the oboe at 12yrs and had to stop after a couple of months, I almost blew my brains out.
@@frontenac5083 It's not about getting the hang of it or learning them. They are physically hard to play, that's why they're considered one of the hardest instruments.

Much like Dara O'Briain for most of Mock The Week, I almost forgot Ian had legs haha. I must thank Bill Bailey for the very masterful butchery of Scotland the Brave that gave us this comedy gold
In a week of devastating news, HIGNFY makes me weak at the knees. Hope the week goes faster, I need another shot of happiness. Not Scottish, but Bagpipes get me going every time, Bill you are a National Treasure.
As always, and perennially, but never redundantly, Thank you!! Thank you!! Thank you!! for uploading so speedily and also for taking the time and trouble to do this at all... as we say in Missourah, I am mighty proud to know you, sir!

I usually wait for the “a bit more” versions but it’s Bill bloody Bailey! I commend anyone who has the will power to wait 😃
The bill power..
I usually say sod it and watch both
Wait?! Good heavens, no! I usually watch both because the show is so good, but this is Bill Bailey! I hit "play" immediately!

That was one of the funniest episodes ever,,, absolutely brilliant. !!!
I was genuinely surprised when Bill pulled out the pipes. And I was genuinely grateful when he stopped playing them.
They are not an easy instrument to master. Bill is talented but clearly hasn't managed to do that.
Had to mute it. Can't stand bagpipes.

Bill Bailey!! What a treat!!
Most fun show in a while.
This may be the strongest start to a series in years - VCM, Alexander Armstrong, Bill Bailey, Jack Dee, and Jo Brand as the first five hosts.
Maybe pass on Armstrong.
Just missing Richard Ayoade and David Mitchell
Massively need an Ayoade episode "new era comedy" but of course these legends are very welcome , agreed, superb strong starting lineup this series.

Literally laugh out loud funny. The show is usually very good, and always enjoyable, but this episode was a stand out.

Terrific to see five wits at the top of their game. Truly a laugh a minute episode.
